I bought the oh-so-cute Chinese wedding cakes that are put in an cloth box. Very traditional, but very modern as well.

I did the transaction completely online. The little Chinese traditional wedding favor certainly gave a flair to my wedding. It was cute, delicious and fit my fusion theme. The 100 mini boxes came in with a well packed big box, nothing was crush and I was very happy how it arrived. Because the cake had a limited shelf-life, they timed perfectly for the production time, delivery time, and still arrived 3 days before the wedding day to ensure quality. I really appreciated it, because most my family and friends are foodies. Customer service was excellent and the favors were perfect.

We used Kee Wah Bakery for our wedding cake since we wanted a Chinese style cake with fruit. We went with their Monterey Park location since it was the closest one to our wedding location. Getting the process started can be slightly difficult as they only have one person (currently Linda) who handles their wedding cake orders and she is not always there. It is more than worth the trouble though as the quality of their cakes is very good and their prices can not be beat (we were looking at 2, 3, or 4 times the price in Chinatown). An added bonus was that they waived the delivery fee since our location was fairly close by.

I only came to this bakery because it was right across from my venue and I did have alot of older guest who does not enjoy sweet cakes. They have good prices on wedding cakes and not to mention if you draw a sketch of your cake they can do it for free of charge.
Note: There is no free cake tasting. I had to pay for 2 slices of cake.
The cake is much better ordered as birthday cake. Wedding cake was okay.
