I cannot say enough good things about our experiences with Katie Karalis Photography. During the beginning stages of preparing for our wedding in June, 2024, Katie was a consummate professional, really taking the time getting to know us, our story, and vision, to offer us the very best experience on our special day. She was responsive, flexible, kind, timely, and her wealth of expertise working in various indoor and outdoor settings with different degrees of lighting (natural, lowlight, etc.) was an invaluable asset. Katie is not a "point and click" person, like you see with many wedding photographers. She captures intimate, beautiful moments with an artistry and eye that shines through with every photo. Her warmth makes her a dream to work with, and it was clear that she put her heart and soul into crafting our portfolio and wedding video. Needless to say, we were wowed by the results. I will forever cherish my experience with Katie and know you will too.

We asked Katie to photograph our wedding and were blown away with her artful photos. Katie was recommended to us via a dear friend who shot her wedding a year ago. We were drawn to her photography, her mastery of mis en scene, contrast, particularly indoor AND outdoor portraiture.

We were having a hard time finding a photographer as many of the websites that refer are corporate or point-and-click photographers that we were nervous to gamble on for our special day. However, when we met Katie, she immediately gave off a warmth, understanding, and kindness that assured us we were in the right hands. She also has a wonderful portfolio that offers variety and experience.

For our wedding day, Katie worked with us attentively, and was also incredibly friendly, helping to calm our nerves on our special day. She made sure to stick to our agreed upon schedule. She made accommodations for us when we had a tricky second and third location request for photos, which we were very grateful for. We decided to do a getting ready (together) photoshoot as opposed to a first-look, and she was not only able to facilitate that, but helped us setup some very intimate and sweet photos.

She captured so many moments perfectly and treated us well before, during, and after our special day. She was very vocal about her timeline of returning our photos, and also gave us a decently-sized sample preview the week after for us to look at and enjoy!

Having Katie photograph our backyard elopement was the best decision we made! She captured so many special moments for us that we will never forget. We were a little bit nervous to pose at first, (we’re certainly not naturals at it). Katie helped guide us and made us feel so comfortable with posing and most importantly, just being ourselves! Being photographed by Katie felt like hanging out with an old friend. My husband and I are looking forward to hiring her again when we welcome our daughter into the world this summer!

Katie is amazing!! She answered all emails and my many questions promptly. Katie, captured all the special details of our day. She has a great eye and we loved all of our photos. Katie made us laugh throughout the day. We were all very comfortable in front of the camera because she is so calming. After our wedding our proofs came in a timely manner. It was so difficult to choose our favorite.

Having photos taken is one of the most intimate experiences we have, and it is one of the most special when you have not only an experienced photographer, but also someone who creates the atmosphere conducive to creating those intimate memories. I have known Katie for quite some time now - years - and I can’t express how special she is to me. She’s been my photographer through some of the most challenging and fulfilling moments of my life. If you're looking for a photographer who knows how to bring out the true and raw emotion out of a couple madly in love with each other- you've found her. Katie knows how to bring out the joy in people and capture it for you to look back on. We had our first shoot at a nature conservatory in Maryland and we had such a blast working with Katie. Once she was done editing the pictures, she sent us a link and we couldn't stop looking at how much fun we had and how gorgeous the pictures turned out. We would hire Katie again in a heartbeat and you should too!

Katie is an amazing photographer! She is willing to get dirty with you to get just the right angle. She got into the water with us so that she could capture the perfect lighting and angle. You can see the passion behind the camera; with all of her ideas and excitement. She is very charismatic and friendly. We really enjoyed working with her!
