We are Katie & Cindy! We are a mom and daughter photography team out of Birmingham, Alabama, that loves the art of photography! We are natural light photographers. This creates our light, clean, airy and crisp images. We use natural light as much as possible to achieve this style! We love wide open spaces with lots of fresh air and sunshine or indoors with lots of great windows that allow the sunlight to pour in! Side note: We, too, of course, have the appropriate equipment for indoor weddings and receptions and night time festivities ;) !! We are also people centered photographers. This just means that we don’t use many (if any) props, outside of the surroundings of our location. After all, in our industry, the people and their love for each other are the memories we are trying to preserve, right!? We do love “accessorizing” though (bouquets, bicycles, hats, blankets…..) for engagement sessions. We also don’t concentrate on “posing”. Don’t get us wrong, we do guide our couples into posing! But it’s the moments in between the poses that are so much more fun and natural! Capturing the laughter, the little moments in between the clicking of the camera that make the session and images so much more memorable!
