Katherine is absolutely AMAZING!!!! I came across her Instagram page while searching for a hairstylist for my wedding day. I was so thankful when she said she was available for my day! We communicated a bunch through email which was amazing because her salon is a few hours from where I live and where the venue was located. I knew I wasn't going to be able to travel up there to get a hair trial, so Kat requested pictures and details of what I wanted. I sent her them and she ensured her and her team would be able to accommodate me and my bridal party.

The day of the wedding, Kat and her team got to the venue SUPER early because they had to travel. I appreciated that more than anything!!! She is the absolute sweetest person and seriously such an inspiration. She was so happy the whole day and easy to talk to. She made sure to ask me questions and have me look in the mirror while she did my hair to ensure I liked it.
My hair came out better than I expected. It was perfect!!! She made the bridal party look beautiful as well!!!!

I hired Kat to do my makeup and hair for my wedding at my coordinator’s recommendation. I live too far from the area to have met Kat, let alone do a hair and makeup trial, before the day of the wedding, but took a leap of faith and hired her before I risked her not being available for our wedding. At the time, I was stressed about not knowing final number of bridesmaids, and who would want hair vs. makeup vs. both done and how to calculate the total. Kat was completely understanding, and we put a deposit down just on a best-guess.

What is naturally an emotionally overwhelming day was amplified by some unforeseen circumstances. I gave Kat a heads-up the day before, and she showed up not only completely understanding, that I was not ready at the agreed-upon time, but with cooling eye masks to bring my swelling down.

Over the course of the day, Kat and her assistant, Alix, did my hair and makeup, as well as that of my bridesmaids and moms. None of us had photos ready for what we wanted, but instead had very overall ideas in our heads. With little direction and all of us being distracted with the day’s festivities, Kat and Alix hit it out of the park. We all felt ourselves but more glamorous, and beautiful but not overdone. Kat and Alix checked with us throughout each of us getting done up, asking how we liked it and adjusting as we all felt needed. Their opinions were helpful and without judgement, and full of patience! Best of all, all of our looks stayed long into the night, even through a windy ceremony and a duration of 12+ hours from beginning to end.

While the satisfaction of Kat’s work is not to be understated, something that also must be said is the presence that Kat brought to our group. Our day was filled with more challenges than we anticipated, leading the day to feel more emotionally overwhelming than a flawless wedding day already would have felt. We oscillated between anxious, joyous, and excited, and Kat was there for all of it. She was a calming presence, and while she did not interject herself, she helped us navigate the day with her lighthearted and easy, breezy attitude, but also without dismissing the weight of our emotions. She accentuated the joy we felt, and helped steady the room when we were feeling shaky.

I can’t say enough about Kat, both for her work and the light she brings to her workspace. It was a joy to work with her, but also to have her part of our wedding day. I can’t imagine having had anyone else in her place, and would recommend her for any event, special or not, big or small! I only wish I lived closer and could work with her regularly.

Kat was awesome to work with. I felt so at ease with her. During my hair trial I felt like I was chatting with a friend. She made the entire process super relaxing. She came to my venue to do all the bridesmaids hair. She took her time but made sure everything was keeping to the schedule. All of our hair came out amazing. It lasted the entire evening; even with all of our crazy dancing! I cannot recommend Kat enough!!

Kat did bridal hair and makeup for my wedding in June and was absolutely wonderful to work with. She came to my parents house at 7am on the day of, which was so convenient and was a constant calm and happy presence to have with us throughout the morning. She made everyone in my bridal party feel so comfortable, and really enhanced everyones personal style. As someone who is not super excited about attention or being in front of a camera all day, she made me feel so beautiful and confident - which really shows in our pictures. I would not hesitate to work with Kat if you are having and Adirondack wedding!

Kat did an amazing job! I couldn’t have been more pleased with how my hair and makeup turned out for my wedding day, especially because I was able to find her on short notice. All other salons in the area either were not open on the day of our wedding (Sunday), did not travel, or could not accommodate more than one person at a time. She was able to do hair and makeup for my maid of honor and my mother as well and did an equally as great job for them. Kat was also very efficient and timely as she was able to do hair and makeup for the three of us in about three hours while maintaining high quality. She also was very relaxed and easy to talk to which made things low stress. I am so grateful to have found Kat! I highly recommend her!

Out of all the aspects of my wedding look, I was most anxious about my hair and makeup...I really wanted to find a stylist who would provide services for me and my bridesmaids on-site, and local salons right in Lake Placid where I got married quoted me ridiculous prices...I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon Kat in my online search. She's located about 30 min outside of Lake Placid but does travel for a small fee, and she was worth every penny! Kat and her assistant did an amazing job getting myself, two moms, and four bridesmaids ready on schedule. I am someone who never wears makeup, so it was really important to me to have a natural look. Kat captured my vision perfectly on my wedding day - my now husband told me he was thrilled that even though I was uncharacteristically wearing makeup, I still looked like myself. I also loved my romantic updo, which stayed put all night!

Leading up to my wedding day, Kat was quick to respond to calls and emails and accommodate me for a trial. She is just as professional as she is warm, kind, and calm - something that's much appreciated on your wedding day. I couldn't recommend her more!
