Unlike most musicians in the wedding industry, Karly's musical education and background are in jazz and contemporary music as opposed to classical music. As a pianist and vocalist, she specializes in creating unique arrangements of both pop and traditional songs, and even creates "mash-ups" when clients want something unique. Her mash-up of "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" (by Bach) and "Can't Help Falling in Love" (by Elvis) is a client favorite!

Karly studied at Boston's famed Berklee College of Music (John Mayer went there, too!) and plays with Mannheim Steamroller during the holiday season. Her experience in the music industry as a performer, songwriter, and studio musician give her a unique skillset for weddings: she is acutely aware of how music plays a larger role in setting the tone for guests as they arrive for a ceremony, and she can intuitively segue music from song to song with ease and elegance, avoiding akward silences at all costs. Additionally, as a vendor with 15+ years in the wedding industry who "attends" 50+ wedding ceremonies every year, Karly offers her clients insights beyond the musical realm. She enjoys sharing ideas and tips with clients during their song selection meetings. For many clients, these meetings are where the vision for their ceremony starts to feel real.

WEDDING CEREMONY MUSIC (Live and Recorded)

Karly can perform as a soloist (piano, or piano + voice), and she can hire additional players as well, including:

Karly can perform as a soloist (piano, or piano and singing), or with her band. She provides an ecclectic mix of pop songs and jazz standards. Customize the size of the band to fit your budget. (3-4 players is the most popular option.)

SPOTLIGHT DANCE

Make your First Dance truly memorable by hiring Karly to perform your Spotlight Dance(s) LIVE! This is a great option when clients want their special songs played at a slower or faster tempo than the recording, or when lyrics need to be changed to fit the occasion.

CUSTOM RECORDINGS

For clients who are incorporating recorded music into their special day, this is a great option to consider. Karly can take your favorite pop song and record it as a solo piano piece, or add some strings. The options are endless. When these types of recordings are created for processional music, Karly can create special versions that are shorter in length, or played in a way that feels more wedding appropriate (slower or more dramatic, etc)
