Karen's greatest passion is to convey the emotion and beautiful essence of the experience within every photograph.
Her unique ability to capture special moments has become her trademark style.

Karen is an award winning professional photographer. She obtained her A.A.S. degree from Green River College, where she studied photography and graduated with honors in 1993.

She has studied with many notable photographers, such as Don Blair, Stuart Powers, Michael Taylor and Dean Collins.
Karen has recently returned from Tuscany, where she attended a photography seminar with Tim and Bev Walden.

From 1998 to 1999 she partnered with, a pioneer in digital photography, Scott Bourne.
Since 1999, Karen has owned and operated her own portrait studio and has proficient knowledge of studio lighting, 35 mm, medium format and digital cameras.

Awards
Over 1 dozen "Blue ribbons" from Pierce County Professional Photographers Association, including "Best of Show".
"Selected for Exhibition" by Professional Photographers Association of Western United States.
