To this day I still get compliments on how amazing my wedding photos turned out! I wanted a photographer that would truly capture my entire day, all the way through my guests having fun at the reception. She nailed it! Choosing Kaila as our wedding photographer was easily the best decision we made! I planned my entire wedding long distance and Kaila was so helpful though the entire process. From giving me vendor recommendations, to driving across down to meet up for drinks when I was in town, to phone calls weeks before the wedding just to ease my wedding anxiety. My husband and I met Kaila at our friends wedding. She actually snapped the four us doing the classic prom pose and from that moment, I knew I would love her. Kaila is so quirky, kind, funny and she knows what she is doing when she is behind the camera.

When my husband and I got engaged I actually reached out to Kaila before having an actual date set just to see how her schedule would look. As fate would allow, Kaila was available and it was the best decision. Kaila was very responsive and involved through every step of our planning process. She offered suggestions for various vendors and always knew how to make the planning process fun and exciting (because it does become overwhelming).

Our engagement session was the best. I knew I wanted to do something that just the standard outside sunset photos. After getting to know us, Kaila suggested going to Postino for photos and drinks (there was no way I could say no)! These photos turned out amazing and captured the fun side to my husband and I. The sunset photos were also SPECTACULAR!

As far as the wedding day, Kaila and her husband were phenomenal. They captured parts of the wedding I never saw. They captured moments of dancing, laughing and singing that will forever be cherished. They captured all the love that was shared that day.

If you don't book Kaila for your wedding you are doing yourself a disservice!! We met Kaila at the Jan 2017 Bridal Expo, though we were still very early in the planning process and didn't feel ready to book a photographer; she checked in on us and even offered suggestions for other vendors! Because of Kaila I found our wedding venue; and we hadn't even booked her yet! She was flexible with scheduling our engagement session due to my fiance's tentative work schedule during that season. She responds to every email and text. She makes you feel like you're the only couple she is working with. Our families and friends RAVED about her and Dustin's presence during the wedding and the photos she delivered to us weeks before we expected them. Towards the end of our wedding night she handed us an iPad that had a few edited photos already and my fiance said "I would pay her double, worth every penny". I have not stopped staring at our wedding photos since we received them. She really enjoys the work she does which overflows into the product you receive. I have included some of our photos so future brides and grooms can see the work she delivers!

Wow! Where do we begin? Kaila and her husband, Dustin, were the perfect duo for our wedding!

I met Kaila at the Phoenix Bridal Expo in January of 2017. I stopped to talk to a few photographers that day, but I didn't feel a connection with any of them until I met Kaila. She was easy to talk to, bubbly, and genuine. I took her card and told my fiance about her that night. After taking a look at her work on her website and comparing her with other photographers, we booked an appointment with her.

When we met Kaila, the appointment felt more like hanging with a friend. She genuinely wanted to get to know us. One of our favorite things about Kaila is how much she fell in love with our dog through the photos we showed her. She even started following him on Instagram (yes, I'm one of THOSE dog moms) before we chose her to be our photographer (Kaila=1, other photographers=0).

At our meeting, Kaila showed us some more of her work and was even able to share a gallery of photos of another wedding she had photographed at our same venue. It was so helpful to see a preview of what our photos might look like at the same location.

After our meeting, we ended up cancelling all of our other appointments with photographers because we knew none of the rest would come close to the bar that Kaila had set.

Our engagement session was a great way to get a feel for the awkwardness of taking photos before our wedding day! We are so glad we did them. Kaila chose a beautiful location for us. Afterward, we hung out in the area and got to know her a little better.

On the day of the wedding, Kaila came with her husband, Dustin, as a second photographer. They worked greatly as a team! We kept on schedule, and were able to get in all of the shots we wanted.

Afterwards, Kaila was able to edit all of our photos very quickly!

Overall, Kaila's quality of work and her personality are AMAZING! We would recommend her to everyone!

My now husband and I first met Kaila and Dustin at the 2017 January Bridal Expo. There were so many great photographers, but after meeting Kaila we both felt that her personality and style fit ours the best. We’d heard others say that you really want to at least get along with your photographer because they’re the ones you’ll be spending the most time with on the day of your wedding, and now we can say that is certainly true!
Kaila has all sorts of questionnaires to fill out so that she can get a better idea of who you are as a couple. Those were actually pretty fun to go through together, as it got us talking about our relationship and the things we held dear from the past and the things we looked forward to in the future. Our engagement photo session was a lot of fun, and a great introduction to what photo taking on the wedding day would be like. Kaila was open to silly suggestions we had, and the time felt like it flew by. The photos were ready pretty quickly, and we were thrilled with the results.
Kaila was always quick to respond to messages, and had lots of helpful tips and suggestions during the run up to the wedding. She would check in intermittently to make sure everything was going well, and we both appreciated that! From everything we talked about, she had backups upon backups for both pictures and equipment. We felt safe knowing that our day was going to be well documented.
The day of went so smoothly, and I can attribute some of that to both Kaila and Dustin’s easy going and relaxed demeanor. The ladies were running late from the hair salon, and I can fully admit that I was stressed getting to the venue. Kaila was ready with hugs and relaxed composure and made me feel so much better! Photos on the day of were stress free, just like our engagement photos, we had fun and just enjoyed ourselves. The pictures again turned out fantastic, we have great posed and candid shots from throughout the whole day. We would both highly recommend Kaila!!

How to start this? Kaila was straight up amazing. Not only does she produce beautiful photographs, but she is an amazing person. She's really organized and keeps things super chill. I had a horde of hungry bridesmaids that threw a wrench in my timeline, but Kaila just took it in stride. Her calm demeanor relaxed me and I didn't stress about it. She's really a genuine person, and her husband Dustin is too. They really are great. I was very surprised at how fast their turn around for our photos was, they had several edited photos displayed the night of the wedding on an iPad! I'm really excited to have so many beautiful memories of my wedding day. Honestly you should go with them, they are seriously the best. Do it, you'll really enjoy working with them.

Kaila was the BEST photographer. We clicked instantly. I love her bubbly personality, energetic spirit, and genuine interest in me and my husband's relationship. She really wanted to capture us, and what makes us unique. On the day of our wedding, she and her second shooter, Shea, were laid-back, and fun, but totally professional! Kaila kept me on time, and made sure to get our "must-have" shots. She somehow got our 3 year-old ringer bearer to stop crying! She had all of these extra touches throughout the whole process, from first meeting to picture delivery, that made us feel so special. She had some pictures up within days and all of the pictures were sent to us in less than two weeks!! The pictures turned out better than I could have imagined. I would recommend her to every couple!!

From the moment we met Kaila we knew she was the one. Literally, we met no one else after her because we felt an instant connection to her! The day we met her, we talked for over an hour before even talking about wedding photography. She was so personable that it felt like we had just been having coffee with a friend.

Kaila was able to meet not only our photography wants but worked with us to customize a package that fit what we wanted and what we could afford. Our first photography experience with her was our engagement photos. Being food bloggers, we dragged Kaila to a bakery to do our photos. Mind you, this was a working bakery and was pretty warm. It was worth it though because our engagement shoot was beautiful! We knew our wedding photos would be as well.

Kaila was amazing leading up to the wedding. She dealt with all of our (well most my) silly questions, concerns, and requests. She even made herself available to come to our venue ahead of time to scout it out despite the long drive. She suggested we do first look photos which my husband jumped on to. I, however, took a bit more convincing. Totally worth it (Kaila was of course absolutely right)!

Fast forward to the wedding. Kaila helped make our chaotic time frame work. We had a ton of travel time to accommodate for but she made it work. We got all of the photos we wanted and then some. Our photos were stunning and captured not only the day but the essence of our relationship and love. She is amazing at capturing not only a staged and pretty photo, but she captures moments. She really captured the love and relationship between my husband and me.

We feel so lucky to have been able to work with Kaila. She is absolutely fantastic. Not only was she our wedding photographer, but now we consider her our friend. If you become a Kaila Cales Couple you will understand this!
