Justin and Kelsey shot our small, family wedding in Saint Helena last year. We're about to hit our one year anniversary and we're still having a blast with new print projects from the amazing photos they delivered. They are both fantastic humans and really understand how to capture the unique settings in Northern California wine country. We felt at ease with them right away, and loved the variety of shots we got. The photos feel modern and cool, but still classy, elegant and timeless. Would highly recommend them to anyone considering a wedding in Napa, Sonoma or around the Bay Area.

Having a wedding is one of the most stressful things we've had to put together, so of course hiring an integral vendor such as a photographer is one of the most crucial decisions you'll have to make. With that said, Justin and his team has proven to be one of the best decisions we could have possibly made.

With Justin, you don't simply get a photographer who signed up to snap a few pictures. You get a consummate professional who has been doing this work for decades, who went to school to develop his passion and then set off to hone his craft through repetition. Honestly, Justin is so good I didn't even want to call him because I knew there was no way that we could possibly afford his talents. But against my better judgement, we gave him a call, and he worked with us to ensure everything was in our budget and knew exactly what we were going to get.

Now the major thing you get from Justin (aside from his ungodly talent) is the experience and professionalism that only someone with decades of work could provide. He broke down the wedding day for us, gave us a timeline even before we had a timeline set with our coordinators. He gave us the pros and cons of every aspect, such as should we start early, late, when to shoot, when not to shoot, etc etc. When we had questions, Justin had answers, when we were stressed, Justin provided that calm mentality to let us know that everything is going well, that we're on track. Honestly, he should get into the coordinating business at this rate :D

Now onto the day of, Justin and his team were incredibly friendly, they were total professionals, and provided a level of service we couldn't have dreamed of. You can see how easily (perhaps i'm discounting his abilities here) he handles a camera, how he naturally blends into the background, how he stays out of everyone's way but somehow manages to take candid photos that looks like they were posed for magazines. Half the time I did not see him or his team. I had guests wondering where our photographers were, and some didn't even know we had multiple photographers (which is an amazing thing).

He never grabbed us and posed us for a photo, he never asked us to stand here or stand there. He allowed us to have our wedding on our own terms, uncompromising, he allowed us to experience our amazing evening without pulling us out of our environment. He was engaging, and yet, didn't engage us directly. I honestly don't know how he did it, because the photos we received were freaking gorgeous. I honestly thought that the higher the quality of the photos, the worse I would look, but Justin's artistic talents proved that incorrect.

His ability to frame shots were simply artistic, his lighting superb (even though we had a November wedding so sunlight was a scarcity), and the fidelity was absolutely breathtaking. Justin was also so down to earth, he was a professional yet he spoke like us, he laughed and joked with us. He eased our anxiety when he knew we were stress. Justin was absolutely one of the best vendors we had at the wedding and we had amazing professionals assisting us every step of the way.

There are many regrets you have by the end of the day, did you do this right, did you do that right, was this vendor worth it? Was that money worth it? Why did we pay so much for that? Why didn't we pay enough for this? With Justin, we had zero regrets, ZERO. He captured moments we would have otherwise lost, moments that I was too overwhelmed to see, moments that would have faded into nothing 10-20-30-40-50 years down the line, moments that I wasn't there for. Although we may be done with Justin for now, what he has given us will be remembered for the rest of our days, maybe even our children's.

So I would say, if you are on the fence, if you have any doubts, if you are looking for more than a photographer, a genuine person, Justin Lee and his team are your people. They will treat you like family, and in the end, you'll as familiar as family. Thank you Justin, you went above and beyond our expectations, even with 4400 characters and 800 words, nothing I've said will capture the joy, beauty, and wonder you'll get from working with Justin, and the warm, fuzzy, serene feeling you'll get when you look back at the photos of your wonderful day. Justin is a creative soul and someone who is passionate about his job. His talent shines through in his style and in the pictures he captures magnificently. From the first time we held a VC he was very detail oriented and informative and made all the time in the world for us across the Pacific Ocean. He made my husband and I feel at ease and we knew that he was very knowledgeable and experienced, more importantly we could trust that he will get the job done. We were planning our San Francisco destination wedding from Hong Kong, so it is fair to say the time zone difference could have been a challenge. However with Justin's prompt response and diligence, he was always just an email or call away, ensuring the time zone difference was a non issue. Justin takes his job seriously, and is well organized ~ a deadline type of guy. He will make sure to keep things on track, which is much needed and appreciated on the actual day of the wedding when it all counts. We did not do a first look, so our photo opportunity between the bride/groom and wedding party schedule was very tight. We also had an unexpected change to our schedule pushing the groomsmen getting ready time later than planned. Justin handled it well and ensured we moved swiftly to capture the shots he needed, and also ensuring we got the shots with the right lighting before sunset. He shoots with his wife Kelsey and together they are an awesome dual, you can see why they gel so well together, two beautiful people creating beautiful art for their clients. Kelsey works quietly behind the scene with Justin directing for the perfect day. They produced photos that will last us a life time. Justin provided us with the final photos and was helpful in providing me - a known tech dummy with multiple links to access photos at ease. He also sent us a cute package in the mail with a photo cd. Justin was the most amazing photographer ever ! I normally hate doing things like photo shoots...he did our engagement photos and then flew down to Cabo with us to do our wedding photos. Everything turned out amazing !!! We highly recommend Justin (and Kelsey)...truly epic !

Our wedding day started off with clouds and rain, a stressful start to the day that I had been imagining. Justin and Kelsey arrived onsite and joined the bridal party while we were getting our makeup done. I knew that we had the perfect photography team the moment that they entered with enthusiasm to use the dramatic lighting of the rain storm in the shots. Justin worked with breaks in the rain to get amazing shots as the sun streamed through the clouds, making the vineyard glisten!

My husband and I got to know Justin during our engagement photoshoot in Sonoma. We heeded advice from other couples and opted to do the engagement shoot so that you could get to know your photographer, their style, and how they wanted you positioned in each photo. Justin did a great job coaching us and we instantly felt comfortable in front of the camera. We had a great time taking photos in the redwood trees and loved how the photos turned out. Justin traveled with us to help find the perfect spots that fit our vision of our engagement story. We felt that the engagement shoot was a great primer that helped the big day flow much smoother. Working with Justin in advance helped put me at ease on the big day, since I knew what to expect of him and how to work with him.

Back to the big day - it was great to have a photographer that I’d previously worked with and trusted. Justin and Kelsey did a fantastic job of taking pictures of me and my husband that captured our true emotion on a day that whizzed by all too fast. We felt comfortable in front of the camera and the results turned out amazing! I think I enjoyed looking at the collection of photographs more than the wedding day itself. Justin has such a natural eye for composition and captured the day so beautifully! We absolutely recommend Justin to photograph your special moments in life.

I first connected with Justin when we were both working in San Diego. He did a few shoots at the hotel where I was working, and I absolutely fell in love with his work. After getting to know him a little better, it turned out we were both from the same small town in Northern California! We continued to stay connected and I knew I would use him as my own photographer one day. His style is so beautiful and unique, not to mention he is so easy to connect with and talk to. I love opening emails beginning with, "Hey, C!" Fast forward several years later, Justin is now based in Napa and I am planning my wedding in Big Sur. I knew immediately that I wanted to introduce my fiance to Justin. We had a consultation with Justin at his Napa studio, and meeting Kelsey was a huge bonus - we were totally sold. I was thrilled to find out that Justin would be available on our wedding date. We bought the package which included engagement photos, which was such a great addition because we really got to experience shooting with Justin and Kelsey. They made us so comfortable, which is so important for people who aren't used to being in front of a camera. Justin and Kelsey stayed with us in Big Sur for our wedding weekend, got to know our friends and family, and even doubled as coordinators in a sense to keep the day moving along smoothly, which was a feat of its own as we had a huge wedding party. They accommodated special requests, were incredibly patient, and even snapped some fun videos throughout the day. When we got our photos, it was so hard to choose which ones to print and frame because we love them all! I was so worried about looking uncomfortable or nervous, but I felt just like a bride should on her wedding day - relaxed, focused and beautiful - and you and you can see it in our photos. If you would like to have wedding photos that knock your socks off then Justin Lee is your man. He has a keen eye for aesthetics and it shows in his photography through beautifully crafted framing and shooting. He has an ability to see something and capture it in a way that makes each photo a piece of art with an ethereal undertone. When I lived in San Diego I was OBSESSED with my friends wedding pictures that Justin took. At that point I knew I had to hire him immediately for my wedding. There was no need for me to look anywhere else. Justin did end up taking my wedding photos and I was very happy. If you want to feel like a super model when you look back on your wedding photos, he is your guy. You will definitely not look back on your pics with disappointment.

One of my favorite aspects of my package was our viewing party. After you have the post wedding blues you get to have an awesome pick me up reminiscing on the best day of your life.
