The photographer was the most important vendor to me when planning our wedding because I wanted to make sure every special moment was captured. I spent hours looking through photographers. I am so happy that we decided to with Justin Chauncey Photography. From the first email I sent, all the way to getting my final photos, the customer service was outstanding. Justin is very knowledgable, professional, and fun to work with. I had so many ideas of shots that I wanted to make sure we got. Justin had no problem accommodating my wants while also suggesting some photos he thought would work well. Some of my favorite pictures came from Justin's great suggestions. He really has an eye for photography. You will only have this special day once, and it goes by so fast! Make sure you choose a photographer that will beautifully capture every precious detail.

Justin is not your average wedding photographer - he's a storyteller.

The last thing I wanted on our wedding day was the traditional, posed photos you see in every wedding album. We wanted our photos to be much more candid and truly tell our story. We explained our vision to Justin, who totally ran with it.
Justin was the only photographer on our wedding day. While he offers options if you need multiple photographers, we really only required one person for our needs. However, I never found that we were lacking by only having one photographer because Justin was so efficient, creative and hard-working.
On the day of the wedding, Justin was such a pro. He showed up ready with ideas but was completely flexible with anything we wanted to do. While walking around Brooklyn for our pictures, he had a great eye for cool/innovative locations and ideas that were in line with our vision. His easy-going, relaxed manner made the entire experience so enjoyable. He joked around with us and chatted while working, so it never felt awkward or forced.
At the wedding ceremony/reception, I never even noticed Justin was there (which I think is a true testament of a skilled photographer). He was so inconspicuous while still managing to be ALL over the place. It never felt like he was working, even though he never stopped working the entire evening (he even helped my bridesmaids to locate more cake when we ran out!).
Lastly, as a side note, my husband and I decided not to hire a videographer for our wedding, and I was having last-minute regrets that we were going to miss out on capturing some special moments without one. However, once we got our photos back, my regrets disappeared. Looking through our album, the day's story was told through our pictures, and we were reminded of some truly beautiful and special moments. I am so thankful Justin was there to capture our special day. I would recommend him for ANY event you have - your photos will speak for themselves.
