Julie was absolutely amazing at everything her job entails! We always knew we wanted to elope but had no idea how to make it happen. Enter Julie, whose Instagram photos started showing up on my feed and I instantly started following her. By seeing all of the inspiration through her work I knew we were going to hire Julie for our wedding day. She helped with planning the elopement and made everything easy, fun, and stress free. We talked over the phone about what types of adventures resonated with us and why. It was so fun to imagine all that we could pack into a full day adventure elopement. Julie made Jon and I feel so comfortable and relaxed on our wedding day and that was exactly how we wanted to feel. We had so much fun with her and her husband, Anthony, off-roading in Southwest Colorado for our elopement weekend. What a beautiful place! And oh my goodness, the photos!!! They were exactly what we were going for and they turned out even better than we could have ever imagined. They capture every single amazing memory of our time in the mountains on our wedding day. To call Julie just an elopement photographer does not do her justice. She does so much more than simply take photographs. My wife and I hired Julie after COVID forced us to cancel our more traditional wedding plans, and it was the best decision we could have made. Julie helped us build a day we will never forget, one where we could actually be present with one another and just be ourselves, without the typical wedding day stresses forced on couples. Julie immediately impressed us with the level of due diligence she brought to creating our ideal elopement day. Despite being 800 miles apart, Julie got to know us, asking about our hobbies and interests and what we hoped to see and do for our special day. She placed calls to vendors, scouted out locations, and responded attentively to what I’m sure were our hundreds of tedious and time-consuming questions. Julie’s vast knowledge of the western national park system and insight into the most romantic (and underappreciated) scenery played an outsized role in where we eventually decided to say our vows. When she initially presented us with a detailed write-up, photos, and videos of five possible elopement spots for us to choose from, we could tell she had indeed listened to our needs and wants and found some remarkable landscapes for us to say, “I do.” In the end, our ultimate decision—the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado—was such a scenic and stunningly picturesque setting for our adventure elopement.

It was only the evening before our big day when we finally met Julie. She had spent the entire day scouting out the location to confirm there wouldn’t be any last-minute surprises (like road or trail closures). That level of commitment to ensuring the least amount of stress on our big day was such a relief! Julie was so personable and down to earth that by the time she started taking photos at 5:30 AM the next day, she had already felt like a trusted friend who we knew wasn’t going to let us down. As for the day itself, well, it was about as perfect as we could have ever dreamed. And while it’d be easier to just tell you on here that Julie’s pictures speak for themselves—especially those now-iconic balloon shots!—the truth is we are so delighted and grateful by how breathtaking Julie’s photos turned out. My wife and I had warned her we were not the most photogenic couple, yet Julie’s artistic eye and ability to capture and create such truly genuine and intimate moments really shined through in her work. And that’s what you get when you hire Julie—not just a great photographer, but also an enthusiastic planner, a seasoned guide, and a good friend. Thank you, Julie!

I absolutely LOVED having Julie capture our wedding adventure. She is truly a one of a kind person and photographer. My husband and I picked an area neither of us had been to and Julie helped plan the whole day. It was less stressful than planning a regular wedding by far! Julie answered all of our questions and had suggestions on how to make our day the best. We had plans to climb up to a peak for photos, however that day it was freezing and so windy. Julie was great with changing the plans and accommodating the weather. She also came prepared with hand warmers! She truly thinks of it all. You won't regret choosing her for your day! Our photos were beautiful and we both will remember our adventure wedding forever.

Working with Julie was an amazing experience in every sense. Our elopement photos came out PERFECT, truly better than we could have ever hoped for. We traveled to NM from CT and she scoped out the most beautiful locations- we wanted both forested mountains and desert photos and somehow she found both within an hour of each other. She created a timeline for our day which was SO helpful and really made for a stress-free, relaxed day. If you are considering eloping, just hire Julie, you'll be ecstatic that you did.

My fiancé and I researched extensively for wedding photographers and were so glad we found Julie! We planned our wedding from overseas and we spoke to her over the phone once or twice, but communicated mostly over email. She was always positive, responsive, reliable and incredibly easy to work with from the beginning. We leaned on her quite a bit for advice in the overall planning process for our wedding. We were very fortunate that she was familiar with the venue, so we sought her guidance on what time to start the ceremony to ensure the lighting was in our favor, what colors to avoid, etc. All of her advice was spot on, and at times it felt like we'd hired not just a photographer, but a wedding consultant also! We really appreciated that she sent us 15 or so shots just a day or two after our wedding so that we could see some of the great work she did and had something to immediately share with our friends and family. We couldn't recommend her highly enough!!

I cannot sing Julie's praises loud enough. Every second working with her has been incredible. From the very first time I met her, I was at ease. She's been so communicative and helpful. She was so patient with our sometimes difficult families, showed up to every occasion on time, and was a joy to chat with throughout. I love her.
Our plans changed while she was with us due to weather and she had multiple alternatives for us. She soldiered through 40 degree temperatures and 50 mph winds to get us the absolutely most stunning pictures we've ever had. She made us feel so comfortable and taken care of.

My husband and I loved working with Julie during our engagement shoots and wedding ceremony shoot. We were nervous at first because we had never been photographed like this before, but Julie helped us along the way by giving us step by step instructions and allowing us to have fun during every one of our shoots. I felt so comfortable with her that I even had her help me put on my wedding dress! She was so helpful with the whole wedding process that it decreased our stress levels significantly. The pictures were all amazing, they honestly looked like if they came out of a magazine. We highly recommend Julie as a photographer, she's the best!
