Julia is my photographer for life! YOU NEED HER at your wedding! My wedding day was very stressful for me-- I am forever grateful that Julia was able to notice that I was struggling and stole us away from the crowd for a minute to take some intimate sunset portrait photos. She also was the one to suggest that an intimate first look with just my husband and parents would be a cherished memory on our wedding day... She couldn't have been more right!! Our first look is my most cherished memory of our day. The timeline of the day was perfect. I used her for both our engagement session and wedding session-- everyone who saw our photos said that they were the greatest they have ever seen. She knows all the perfect places and "secret spots" in the Adirondacks to take breathtaking photos. The word "fairytale" was used more than once when our friends and family commented on her work.

Julia is an absolute joy to work with! She and her assistant, Bo, captured our wedding so perfectly!! Julia was even willing to get on an indoor rock wall with us and take photos of us climbing (where my husband and I met). She keeps things light-hearted, and made everything comfortable and tons of fun. She is an effervescent and kind person; we wouldn't have wanted to work with anyone else! We would 110% recommend her to anyone needing a wedding photographer.

I can’t recommend Julia enough. You know she is something special when guests at your wedding rave about how awesome your photographer is. She really is! You get what you pay for. My husband was worried about not knowing how to “pose” for our photos, but those feelings went away immediately and Julia made it feel effortless and fun. Our photos are everything I could have dreamed of and more.

My husband and I had a tiny, last minute wedding on November 30, 2020 mid pandemic with just our parents and us. Julia was INCREDIBLE! She created the perfect package for us, she was responsive and personable, and leading up to the day we could contact her any time with any questions. The contract and payment was all straight forward and easy. On the actual wedding day, there was a storm for our outdoor balcony wedding but Julia did not miss a beat! She offered us options for where and how we wanted to take photos, she had umbrellas and a great sense of humour. We really enjoyed having Julia around! After the wedding we were blown away by how beautiful the photos were. We cannot recommend Julia enough, she was the perfect photographer! 

We first met with Julia in-person when we shared what mattered to us for our wedding day, and she shared with us her approach and style. While neither of us are well-versed in event photography styles or techniques, the earnestness Julia has for her craft – providing real tangible memories for her clients – was clear as day. Her timeless style and approach to capturing the day as truly as possible, without being invasive or getting in the way of the meaning of the day, spoke to us, and her personality sealed the deal: she was professional and prepared, while simultaneously warm and welcoming.

We planned our wedding from three timezones away, and didn’t see Julia in-person again until our rehearsal. While planning from so far could be stressful, it was a breeze with Julia. All of my questions – as big as asking her to inform the timeline of the overall day to small details on logistics – were answered promptly and clearly, and I never had a doubt in my mind that if something was to come up leading up to the wedding or the day of, she would have it handled. The value of the peace of mind that came with working someone as inherently organized, proactive and communicative as Julia cannot be overstated!

For our weekend itself, we had Julia for both our rehearsal and wedding. Due to some unforeseen complications, we had to roll with the punches more than we could have imagined. Mixed emotions and distractions kept us from being able to make sure Julia was settled and telling her certain shots we wanted or folks who were important to us. But Julia, the absolutely wonderful second shooter she brought (Erin!), and her patient and wonderful pinch hitter of a husband Cole, had everything handled and then some. Through the various events and groups of folks cycling through, Julia was present, helpful, and clear without ever interjecting or being forceful, and compassionate and sensitive without intruding. The kindness and warmth from Julia (& her team!) led them to be part of our wedding day, not just a vendor – to us, they were extensions of the day, and we’re so grateful to have had them with us through the weekend.

Lastly, Julia’s work speaks for itself – it is beautiful, timeless, and sincerely lets the subject shine – and she is more than prompt: Julia got some of our sneak peaks to us by the next day, before we even had a chance to think about them!

While we loved the photos in Julia’s portfolio and knew her work would be remarkable, we were still blown away by what she captured, how she captured us, our wedding, and our loved ones, and are so grateful to have her work to forever cherish as memories of our wedding.

Julia went above and beyond to make our “COVID Wedding” seem as real as it could have. She helped us pick the location and made our family feel so comfortable. She is professional and a great calming energy to have around on the special day. Julia even found a way to get my dad to smile in pictures! That never happens! She exceeded every expectation we had for our alternate wedding plans. I recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer! Hands down amazing!!

Julia and Cole were so amazing during our engagement photoshoot! They made us feel very comfortable and really took their time during our session. My fiancé and I wanted to take some pretty adventurous photos (walking across a frozen pond piled high with snow, skating on an ice rink, etc.), and Julia was game for all of it! The photos turned out so amazing and she was such a joy to work with! The whole experience was very fun and memorable! After the shoot, she promptly sent us the sneak peek photos and we were blown away! I would highly recommend Julia to anyone looking for a photographer in the Adirondacks!

FANTASTIC! We cannot say enough about Julia!! Julia truly encompasses all of the things that you could ever want and need in a photographer. She is highly skilled; her work is magnificent (classic, timeless and just feels naturally beautiful); she is kind, she is caring and respectful to all; she over delivers in everything that she does; just overall an absolute joy to work with. From the very beginning of the whole process she makes you feel at ease. During our engagement shoot we knew we had made the best decision ever. Photographs are arguably one of the most important things on your wedding day, and Julia manages to capture the most magical moments. She has a way of making a crazy, chaotic wedding day feel calm. She really “disappears” and makes you feel like it is just you and your husband/wife when she is photographing. And then, maybe the best part of all - she delivers absolutely stunning photos exactly when she says she will (if not sooner). All in all, Julia is nothing short of exceptional!

Julia was everything we could’ve asked for in a wedding photographer! She was calm, kind, easy-going, always had a smile on her face and yet still able to keep everyone organized and get the shots we wanted. She makes sure you get as much time as possible with your family, friends and guests which meant a lot to us and never makes you feel awkward or posed. All of our family and bridal party told us how much they enjoyed working with her as well. So grateful to have her on our wedding day, thank you Julia!!

Julia is THE BEST!! I knew I had to have her as my wedding photographer the moment I came across her website. Her photos are beautiful, timeless and truly amazing. Julia is so kindhearted and personable. She made my husband and I feel very relaxed throughout our wedding day. She even offered to walk our dog during the reception! I just received my wedding gallery and I cannot stop looking at our photos! They came out absolutely perfect! I HIGHLY recommend Julia :)
