MY STORY:
In high school, we are all pressured to find exactly what we'd like to do for the rest of our lives. Just like many other teens, I had no idea what I wanted to do. However, I knew I had a love for photography. I started by taking photos of friends skiing, cliff jumping, and playing sports. Right out of high school I began working for two newspapers and second shooting at weddings. There's something incredible about seeing your work published. I was instantly turned on by the thrill of telling stories through images. Not to sound cheesy but it’s a pretty great feeling when you finally find the one thing you want to do for the rest of your life.
After exploring different avenues in photography, I found my niche in wedding photography. I quickly realized that there is nothing more rewarding than having the responsibility of documenting that incredible day in a couples life. Documenting that connection between two humans. It’s something I take very seriously. And while I may sound like the most serious person on planet earth, rest assured I’m a pretty laid back dude with a laid back philosophy. You be you. I’ll be me. The best images will come when you can really just let go and be yourself. I know, deep thoughts right? Well enough jibber-jabbering about me, I want to hear about you. I wanna hear your story.

Don't Hesitate, Book Sean Now!
Sean is absolutely incredible, and hands down one of the easiest and best decisions I made during the wedding planning process. If you’re looking to hire a photographer, look no further! Sean’s photos are out of this world. He was communicative, listened to all my ideas, was patient, helped guide us for photo poses, and absolutely delivered on our wedding day. He arrived early, was professional, but also fit right in with us and our bridal party and made us feel at ease throughout the day. His photos are STUNNING. When the post wedding blues set in, Sean was there to pick us up with 24hr sneak peak photos and we cried as we relieved our day all over again. We have a true work of art that we will cherish forever with the photos that Sean captured. We cannot recommend Sean enough. Don’t think twice, hire Sean now!

The BEST of Vermont!
Working with Sean Hood Photography was truly a dream. From start to finish, Sean made the entire process so easy and comfortable — it felt like we were working with a friend. Best wedding photographer!
Sean was our favorite vendor we worked with on our wedding day. He perfectly captured the day through candid photos and helped give us direction for poses. We had a larger wedding party and he managed the group seamlessly through the photo process. He was professional, friendly, timely and really fun to work with! He made us feel comfortable the whole day. He even provided us some of the initial photos within 24 hours after our wedding. It was awesome to be able to see the photos so quickly. Sean is a talented photographer and I highly recommend him!

Our Favorite Vendor
Hiring Sean was the best decision we made related to our wedding in Vermont. He was a true pleasure to work with. Kind, creative, attentive, communicative, LGBTQ+ accepting + affirming, and more! We are BEYOND happy with the results of the sneak peek photos (our wedding was Friday and we got 350 gorgeous sneak peek photos on Sunday). He is really incredible at his job. Highly recommend - he will become your favorite vendor too!

He's the best!
Sean is so sweet, kind, an absolutely phenomenal photographer, and incredibly talented! He was our photographer for our Mountain Top wedding back in August and I truly cannot say enough good things about him. Not only does he produce amazing work and photos, but he was wonderful to work with!! Even friends and family that had met Sean the day of the wedding had voiced to me how wonderful he was (of course I already knew that though! LOL). He was always such a pleasure to communicate with throughout the planning process and was very helpful when it came to planning the photo timeline for our wedding day.
Going into our wedding, my husband and I wanted to make sure that we were “in the moment” and enjoyed our day, start to finish. We wanted to take in every second that we could, as we’ve been told by many what a whirlwind a wedding day can really be! I had no doubt that Sean would photograph the day beautifully, but when he had voiced that his goal was to capture beautiful photos while also trying not to take us out of our day too much so we can enjoy it, I knew he was the perfect photographer for us. Truly talented!
Sean (as you can see in the photos attached) is an incredibly talented photographer, and it was a pleasure working with him to capture our wedding day. We wanted our photos to reflect real and authentic moments, and Sean captured exactly that. Despite us not really knowing how to pose in front of a camera, Sean guided us through the process with ease. He was very professional, yet personable…it felt like we were taking photos with a friend which made us feel at ease during the whirlwind of the wedding day. Choosing a photographer is such a crucial decision during the wedding planning process, and we're thrilled that we chose Sean. His skill and artistry truly shine through in his work!

Best Wedding Photographer!
We feel so lucky to have had Sean as our wedding photographer! Sean is not only an incredibly talented photographer, but also a genuinely kind person who is easy to be around. He made us feel comfortable throughout the whole photography process - from engagement pics to wedding day photos - and you can see just by looking at our photos how relaxed we felt in his presence.
Sean was also great at communicating throughout the planning process. We planned our VT wedding while living on the west coast, but it felt like we were on the same coast thanks to his communication and flexibility when it came to finding times to chat.
We knew Sean would do a great job with our photos, but were truly amazed when we got our full wedding album! He did such an amazing job of capturing all of the aspects of our wedding day - from the portraits and ceremony pictures, to all of the “in betweens” and candids. We can truly feel the joy of our wedding day just by looking through our photos! Sean captured not just incredible photos, but also the atmosphere and joy of the day so beautifully. So many friends and family members have commented on how talented and kind Sean is! Our guests are still in awe of how well the photos turned out - many even told us they were some of the best they’ve ever seen! Sean is the ultimate professional. We were absolutely blown away by his photos. We received over 300 “sneak peek” photos less than 24 hours after our wedding! We have been obsessively looking through them, amazed at how well he captured our day. Our guests, friends, and family won’t stop commenting about how stunning they are. Sean is such a professional, but he also makes the day fun. He was laughing, joking and smiling the whole time. He is thorough with all of his work making sure he gets every shot we needed or wanted. Above all, he is a true artist who takes pride in his work.

Hands down, best wedding photographer
Sean photographed our solar eclipse wedding this year and was absolutely incredible. Months beforehand he started asking us questions that were very important considerations for the wedding that we didn't even think of (for example, where the sun was going to be in the sky for the eclipse 🤷🤣). His attention to detail is definitely one of the things that makes him one of the best in Vermont. He sent us so many incredible pictures within 24 hours - many family members thought it was the entire gallery because of the quality and quantity. At the end of the day, I would not hesitate to recommend Sean as your photographer. He knows venues well and will be sure to capture your day perfectly.

Amazing Photographer! Can’t Recommend Enough!
Sean was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish! We had the pleasure of having Sean photograph both our engagement session and wedding – and we’re so glad we did! Sean was professional, easy to work with, and really put us at ease when taking photos. On our wedding day, Sean and his second shooter managed to capture every single moment we could have asked for, and we LOVE how our photos turned out!
