Sean is absolutely incredible, and hands down one of the easiest and best decisions I made during the wedding planning process. If you’re looking to hire a photographer, look no further! Sean’s photos are out of this world. He was communicative, listened to all my ideas, was patient, helped guide us for photo poses, and absolutely delivered on our wedding day. He arrived early, was professional, but also fit right in with us and our bridal party and made us feel at ease throughout the day. His photos are STUNNING. When the post wedding blues set in, Sean was there to pick us up with 24hr sneak peak photos and we cried as we relieved our day all over again. We have a true work of art that we will cherish forever with the photos that Sean captured. We cannot recommend Sean enough. Don’t think twice, hire Sean now! -

The BEST of Vermont!
Working with Sean Hood Photography was truly a dream. From start to finish, Sean made the entire process so easy and comfortable — it felt like we were working with a friend. His calm energy put us at ease, and his eye for detail is unmatched. The photos he delivered were absolutely phenomenal; every moment was captured beautifully and authentically.
On top of that, Sean has a great sense of humor — especially appreciated by the groomsmen! It made the day feel fun, natural, and totally stress-free.
I really appreciated having an engagement shoot beforehand — it gave us the chance to meet Sean in person and understand how we’d all work together for the big day.
What stood out most was Sean’s constant communication. He kept us in the loop every step of the way, ensuring we felt supported and taken care of throughout the entire experience. Best wedding photographer!
Sean was our favorite vendor we worked with on our wedding day. He perfectly captured the day through candid photos and helped give us direction for poses. We had a larger wedding party and he managed the group seamlessly through the photo process. He was professional, friendly, timely and really fun to work with! He made us feel comfortable the whole day. He even provided us some of the initial photos within 24 hours after our wedding. It was awesome to be able to see the photos so quickly. Sean is a talented photographer and I highly recommend him! -

Our Favorite Vendor
Hiring Sean was the best decision we made related to our wedding in Vermont. He was a true pleasure to work with. Kind, creative, attentive, communicative, LGBTQ+ accepting + affirming, and more! We are BEYOND happy with the results of the sneak peek photos (our wedding was Friday and we got 350 gorgeous sneak peek photos on Sunday). He is really incredible at his job. Highly recommend - he will become your favorite vendor too! -

Sean is so sweet, kind, an absolutely phenomenal photographer, and incredibly talented! He was our photographer for our Mountain Top wedding back in August and I truly cannot say enough good things about him. Not only does he produce amazing work and photos, but he was wonderful to work with!! Even friends and family that had met Sean the day of the wedding had voiced to me how wonderful he was (of course I already knew that though! LOL). He was always such a pleasure to communicate with throughout the planning process and was very helpful when it came to planning the photo timeline for our wedding day.
Going into our wedding, my husband and I wanted to make sure that we were “in the moment” and enjoyed our day, start to finish. We wanted to take in every second that we could, as we’ve been told by many what a whirlwind a wedding day can really be! I had no doubt that Sean would photograph the day beautifully, but when he had voiced that his goal was to capture beautiful photos while also trying not to take us out of our day too much so we can enjoy it, I knew he was the perfect photographer for us. We did the perfect ratio of staged photos with us, our families, and bridal party, and of candids throughout the day capturing precious moments.

Sean (as you can see in the photos attached) is an incredibly talented photographer, and it was a pleasure working with him to capture our wedding day. We wanted our photos to reflect real and authentic moments, and Sean captured exactly that. Despite us not really knowing how to pose in front of a camera, Sean guided us through the process with ease. He was very professional, yet personable…it felt like we were taking photos with a friend which made us feel at ease during the whirlwind of the wedding day. We feel so lucky to have had Sean as our wedding photographer! Sean is not only an incredibly talented photographer, but also a genuinely kind person who is easy to be around. He made us feel comfortable throughout the whole photography process - from engagement pics to wedding day photos - and you can see just by looking at our photos how relaxed we felt in his presence.
Sean was also great at communicating throughout the planning process. We planned our VT wedding while living on the west coast, but it felt like we were on the same coast thanks to his communication and flexibility when it came to finding times to chat.
We knew Sean would do a great job with our photos, but were truly amazed when we got our full wedding album! He did such an amazing job of capturing all of the aspects of our wedding day - from the portraits and ceremony pictures, to all of the “in betweens” and candids. We can truly feel the joy of our wedding day just by looking through our photos! Sean captured not just incredible photos, but also the atmosphere and joy of the day so beautifully. So many friends and family members have commented on how talented and kind Sean is! Our guests are still in awe of how well the photos turned out - many even told us they were some of the best they’ve ever seen! Words cannot fully express how grateful we are to have had Sean as our wedding photographer, and we 100% recommend him without hesitation! -

Sean is the ultimate professional. We were absolutely blown away by his photos. We received over 300 “sneak peek” photos less than 24 hours after our wedding! We have been obsessively looking through them, amazed at how well he captured our day. Our guests, friends, and family won’t stop commenting about how stunning they are. Sean is such a professional, but he also makes the day fun. He was laughing, joking and smiling the whole time. He is thorough with all of his work making sure he gets every shot we needed or wanted. Above all, he is a true artist who takes pride in his work. -

Sean photographed our solar eclipse wedding this year and was absolutely incredible. Months beforehand he started asking us questions that were very important considerations for the wedding that we didn't even think of (for example, where the sun was going to be in the sky for the eclipse 🤷🤣). His attention to detail is definitely one of the things that makes him one of the best in Vermont. He sent us so many incredible pictures within 24 hours - many family members thought it was the entire gallery because of the quality and quantity. At the end of the day, I would not hesitate to recommend Sean as your photographer. He knows venues well and will be sure to capture your day perfectly. -

Amazing Photographer! Can’t Recommend Enough!
Sean was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish! We had the pleasure of having Sean photograph both our engagement session and wedding – and we’re so glad we did! Sean was professional, easy to work with, and really put us at ease when taking photos. On our wedding day, Sean and his second shooter managed to capture every single moment we could have asked for, and we LOVE how our photos turned out! Sean even managed to send us a sneak peek of our photos a day or two after the wedding! Sean was absolutely amazing! We had the pleasure of being the subject of Sean’s art through our engagement pictures and our wedding! Sean was relatable, relaxing, easy going, and professional. He knew how to direct everyone to get the perfect shot and for that we are so grateful. I handed Sean the torch on our wedding and said you have full control to tell us what to do, and man am I glad for that. He was confident and got every shot imaginable. We could not picture our special day without Sean, and all of our guests agreed. Everyone thought Sean was on his best game, got the good shots, and on top of that was an incredible human with genuine reactions! We’d hire Sean ten times over. He truly made our day the best it could be, and went above and beyond by guiding me through the chaos of wedding days by always being by my side and encouraging my decisions or making the decisions for me that I didn’t want to. We had a winter destination wedding and needed to find vendors from scratch. After the first communication with Sean, we knew we were hiring him. Since we were unfamiliar with the area, he suggested downtown Rutland for our Engagement session. He let us be us, capturing every photo the way we were. And the pics came out great! We were blown away and couldn't wait for our wedding day. He arrived on time, was calm, let us do our thing, was never in the way, very polite and very helpful. He captured every moment, even climbing through the snow to make sure he got the mountains as the backdrop. And again, the photos were amazing! The colors were so vibrant and perfect. Sean was every bit of awesome! -

We feel incredibly lucky to have been able to book Sean for our Burlington micro wedding. He’s calm, professional, and so much fun to work with! Sean has such an incredible eye for detail and knew all the best locations in Burlington to capture our first look photos! Not only is Sean a talented photographer, but he is also an absolutely brilliant videographer. Perfect for our Intimate Wedding
Sean was so easy to work with from the start. He made sure to listen to what we wanted for our big day and offered suggestions for things we weren't sure of. We had an outdoor wedding, and of course wound up with rain on and off. He had multiple umbrellas that we could use and handled the location/time changes for our first look like it was no big deal. Our photos and video came out exactly how we had hoped. I highly recommend hiring Sean for any event you may have! -

Hiring Sean to photograph our wedding was the best choice we could have made! He was professional, accommodating and easygoing. When choosing a photographer I relied heavily on others' reviews and I am so glad that I did! He exceeded my (extremely high) expectations and his photos truly captured us as a couple. Words cannot express how grateful I am that we had him to capture our day. Our guests could not stop raving about how great he was both during our wedding and after seeing all of the photos. My fiance and I are from central NY and met with Sean to do engagement photos as we were looking at a venue in Vermont. I was really nervous about how pictures would come out as I didnt know him except from exploring his site! Sean from the get go was so friendly, quick at replying to messages via email or phone, and was a delight to work with! He was on time (actually early) and easy to work with. He got us our photos in an incredibly quick fashion (compared to others) and we loved our pictures so much we booked him for our wedding this year! Laid back, professional, quality work. Wonderful Engagement Photo Experience
Sean was a wonderful choice for my our engagement photos. He was incredibly responsive and took what we wanted into account. His pricing was wonderful and his photos were absolutely amazing. He got the photos to us within a couple weeks of our photo shoot and gave us great quality photos-- it is hard to even pick a favorite! I would absolutely recommend him for any photo needs. Wedding Photographer and highlight video
Sean was amazing to be around on our wedding day! He made us both feel comfortable, made the first look special and fun and just has one of those personalities that makes you feel happy to be around. I'm so glad he was a part of our day; you can really tell he loves what he does. Even before we got our photos back we were so thrilled we had Sean around as he just made our special day that much better, and then when we got our photos back less than 24 hours later, we were BLOWN AWAY. His work product is truly unparalleled and so beautiful.
My now husband hates getting photos taken, and I really didn't want this to get in the way of documenting our day; I was not willing to compromise on wedding photos! Sean was the perfect person for us both, he did an amazing job of judging when we had too much, when our group was too cold (we got married in the winter) and when to pull us for some phenomenal shots, like when it was snowing outside at night. We never felt like we were being over-directed or posed, he truly caught everything with just natural ease. We feel like bridal magazine models in his photos, and we didn't once feel uncomfortable or like we missed something we enjoyed every second with Sean. He has ALL the equipment and moves so fast throughout the whole day. He really is working like 2 full days around the clock shooting, traveling and editing. We are still in awe and cant wait to see the rest of our photos!
