A gem of a photographer and human being can only be found through word of mouth, and we were so fortunate and blessed to cross her path! If you are someone like me who dreaded the whole wedding planning process, you need people on your team that make everything seamless. I had no real idea what kind of wedding theme I wanted, but I knew 3 things: 1) I wanted to be CAREFREE and enjoy my wedding day, 2) I wanted my guests to have a BLAST and feel as carefree as me, and 3) I wanted to look back at my photos and feel RAW EMOTION.
Julia and her work exceeded my expectations! We met numerous times online and would text randomly about an inspo photo, and pretty soon I found my style through her nurturing guiding spirit. Her aesthetic and vision for my wedding flavor - ethereal, rustic romantic, cottagecore - became more clear with each passing day. I have had my experience with wedding photographers from weddings I attended in the past, and that feeling of cattiness and attitude just left a bad taste in my mouth. In fact, coming from the NYC area, it was the main reason I dreaded the wedding planning process. Don't believe me? Go to any wedding expo and speak to a photographer, see their work, feel their energy. The vibe is just off. Hands down, none compare to Julia. As someone who is an extrovert only if I feel comfortable, otherwise very conservative with a resting b face, I needed someone who would make me feel comfortable on one of the most nerve-racking days of my life, and that comfort showed in my photos. The tension on my shoulders melted away, I stood taller, I didn't have a resting b face, all because she made me feel comfortable, and confident I would look like the purest version of myself. Please don't second guess and book her!
