Jon is very personable and made the experience comfortable and fun rather than feeling awkward or like a chore. Very enthusiastic for his craft and you can tell in his work. He was willing to travel a couple hours outside of town for our engagement photos and they turned out beautifully too. Thank you for documenting our big day Jon!

Jon was great! He's a photographer that is branching out in to videography. I selected him based on the mini movies he has on his website. He was very prompt with communication and very accommodating to specific things we wanted to make sure he captured (hightlights and special moments during the reception). He worked very well with our photographer (they even shared tips and helpful hints). He was great at directing what to do. He fit so seamlessly into the flow of everything, I couldn't even tell you where he was. He was able to catch some pretty funny moments and I'm sure there are some candids that we didn't get so see first hand. I can't wait to see the finished product! It'll be great to view the day from an outside perspective and see everything that we didn't get to see.

Jon's photos are just a level above everyone else's... but his prices are not- he is very affordable for the top quality you will get. Jon was so easy to work with at both the engagement shoot and the day of the wedding. He went above and beyond with taking pictures. I felt like I didn't need to do or worry about anything. He was there and would get the photos that we wanted without us having to worry about it. Jon was extremely professional while also calming me down and helping me enjoy the day. Several of our guests came up to us to tell us how beautiful and wonderful everything was... and how our photographer was amazing! We 100% recommend booking Jon - I don't know if you can find a better photographer in this area.

Jonathan was the perfect choice for our wedding! We were planning a low-key, somewhat unconventional wedding, and we were on a tight budget. Though my budget was below what Jonathan typically charges, he worked with me to design a photography package that would provide the coverage I wanted for a price I could afford.

From the moment he showed up our wedding site until our time was up, Jonathan literally did not stop moving. I think about half of our guests commented on how hard working and professional he was. He took slightly longer than estimated to get the pictures finished, and though I feel that's perfectly acceptable since it's impossible to guess exactly with that type of thing, he discounted the cost of prints as a result. So kind!

Our wedding pictures turned out beautifully, and he did a great job of capturing the DIY details (that my family and I worked so hard on!) of the event as well. We got married August 28, 2021 in the Charlottesville area and the day was beyond amazing. We hired Jon for our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures, and from the moment we met him it was obvious Jon's main goal was to capture our love for one another. My now husband and I are kinda awkward in front of a camera (we just never know what to do with our hands), Jon noticed this and was very helpful showing us how to pose and talked us through what his vision was for our pictures.
Jon showed up to our event on time and professional, even after having a few timeline changes. He came in and went right to work getting detail shots and started getting our family and wedding party involved in pictures. We had a few "must have" and he was very flexible with this and made sure to make time to get them worked into the schedule.
