Hands down--THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHER IN THE INDUSTRY! As a wedding planner, I've had the opportunity of working with Joy on many weddings and I've also worked with hundreds of other photographers. Joy stands out as a leader in the industry for many reasons. Joy is an artist, not someone who decided they loved photography and picked up a camera one day. When the time came that I needed to book a photographer for my own wedding earlier this year, the choice was clear--Joy Marie. And I am SO GLAD she was available because my photos evoke every emotion that I felt that day and are so perfect that they are beyond words. She nailed it, as I knew she would since she's made so many of my clients SO happy in the past.

Why I love Joy Marie:
She talks the couple through the engagement session so they feel more than comfortable with the photo session on their wedding day. She positions the couple perfectly to catch the most beautiful angles. This is crucial to any bride who isn't a professional model. You'll feel like the most amazing version of yourself was portrayed when you get your photos back! She has a keen eye for lighting and backdrops as well. I don't need to go into this because her photos speak for themselves.

On the back end of things, Joy is professional, kind, prompt, thorough and genuinely passionate for what she does. She's a team player and will do ANYTHING to get amazing photos. She also seems to capture even the quickest moments. Whenever something is photo worthy during your event, Joy is there and makes that split second in time, a piece of art.

On top of all of this--there is nobody else I'd rather have following me around on my wedding. Joy is incredibly likable and that is SO important when this person is following you around on one of the most important days of your life. She can get along with anyone as she's very easy going and has the leadership skills to pull groups of people together for beautiful family photos.

Joy and David were simply amazing at shooting our wedding. Their attention to detail and professionalism are unmatched and the quality of images are legendary. I've had friends literally all over the world comment on our photography indicating it is the best they've ever seen. Joy truly has a rare gift for bringing out the best pictures in people. I would highly recommend Joy in every aspect of her job.

I would give Joy Marie 6 stars our of 5 if they would let me. Joy Marie is incredibly talented. So many of our photos look like they can be straight out of a magazine. She effectively combines art, fashion, photo journalism and candid moments seamlessly. She made us look and feel like a million dollars. Her attention to detail is unparalleled. She doesn't like posed pictures (but of course she will do them and all the formal shots), she just told us to interact with each other, and the results were amazing. I feel so fortunate every time I look at our photos. Joy Marie is simply the best!

Oh my gosh I wish I could rate Joy Marie a 10! She is the most amazing photographer I could have asked for. I am anxiously awaiting to see our wedding photos, but our engagement pictures were AMAZING! All of our friends and family can't stop talking about how happy they are with her professionalism the day of our wedding, and of course they all love her website, and also can't wait to see our wedding pictures. Joy Marie could take pictures of anyone in front of a dumpster and make it look hot! Love love love her! I have found a photographer for life!

Our wedding was on a tight budget but we agreed to splurge a little on the photographer. We are sosososo glad we did. Joy Marie and her assistant were so great to work with - friendly, professional and creative, and the bottom line - our photos look AMAZING. They are by far the best pictures of us we have ever seen. Joy Marie has an eye for catching beauty, drama and emotion in her photos. I have been telling everyone I know getting married about her!!!

I cannot rate her value for cost b/c I am not sure of this as she was not my main photographer. I was lucky enough to get Joy Marie to serve as the assistant to the hired photographer, as his regular assistant was unavailable. I am so thankful that it worked out that way, as I cannot imagine having someone else. She was excellent and I loved the aspect that she provided.

My husband and I give Joy the highest recommendation in all respects. We hope to hire her to photograph all our major life events. Joy is amazing. First of all, put simply, her photos are just stunning. Her eye for composition, color and texture makes each photo, in and of itself, remarkable and artistic. She also captured through her photos the story of the day -- and not just simply the actions, but the colors, details, emotions and personality -- and this was incredibly important to us in a wedding photograher. On top of it all, Joy is great to work with. Someone told us when we first began planning our wedding that it was important to like your photographer. After all, you end up spending more time with him or her than almost anyone. We really liked Joy. She is incredibly cool and nice. The only "drawback" to hiring Joy is that you will find yourself ordering more photos than you planned.

What can I say that can summarize Joy and her work.... PHENOMINAL!! Joy has a talent that is out of this world. I was lucky to be introduced by a friend of mine who utilized Joy for her wedding. When I saw Joy's work I was sold. She has an eye for beauty and can see a memorable photo just by observing. I called Joy over 1 year before my wedding just so I can make sure I could book her. I do not regret my desicion one bit. If anyone is interested in the most beautiful wedding photos look no further than Joy Marie. Thank you Joy for being the best photographer I have ever seen. Stunning! My husband and I have a such a wonderfully documented momento of our engagement and wedding day. Joy is based out of Los Angeles, but is available for work both nationally and internationally. I was referred to Joy by a client of mine and I booked her before I had even decided on our date! My husband and I were not only impressed with her work, but we really fell in love with her when we met with her. She was the first vendor I booked way back in late 2006! She offers such a unique personal style to her photography - a perfect blend of classic, traditional work mixed with a bit of edginess including a lot of textures and colors. She is a photojournalist, telling the story of your day with some of the most emotional, touching images. She got one of my Dad that makes me a bit weepy every time I see it! She captured moments that my husband and I missed - which is what you want in a wedding photographer! The evening of our wedding Joy stayed later than what we had discussed, so that she could continue to document our day. She has such a cool, laid back personality, but when she starts shooting she is quite the little dynamo! She brought along an assistant photographer who was equally as wonderful. I cannot say enough about Joy the person and Joy the Photographer - she is a beautiful person inside and out and her work speaks for itself! I do believe she is at the top of her game - my friends have commented that their well-known, high-end wedding photographers did not offer the same quality or beautiful style. Joy will be getting a lot of referrals from me!

Joy was truly a "joy"! She was great to work with - extremely professional, easy going, fun-spirited, and friendly. I can not say enough about her pictures. I'm a wedding planner and I have seen hundreds of portfolios - Joy has one of the best and she is reasonably priced considering how talented she is. Everyone who saw our wedding photos thought they came straight out of a magazine. She was also incredibly flexible and worked with us to find a package that fit our needs.
