April, Courtney, Sam, Noelle, and Kathleen were prompt, professional, kind, and flexible with our diverse wedding party. They made us feel comfortable and confident. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

My bridal party & I got our hair and makeup done at Joseph Anthony on the morning of my wedding and I was so happy with the service! The stylists were so great and easy to work with. Kelly did my hair and Kathleen did my makeup and they were the best. I definitely recommend doing a hair & makeup trial first. Then on my wedding day they listened to my requests to any changes I wanted since my trial and it turned out perfectly. I couldn't have been more happy. My girls loved the service too!

I have been going to Joseph Anthony salon and spa for over 2 years. It was only natural for me to go to my normal girl to have my wedding hair done. Erin did an awesome job and I was very happy with my results. During the trial, she listened to my needs and vision for my hair, and went through all the pictures I had brought and tried different things all with patience and a smile.
I also booked my makeup to be done there as well on wedding day. I did indeed have a trial in which I was able to talk to the gal (I cant remember her name) and tell her what I was looking for. I looked great both days! My makeup was awesome and everything I could have wanted. I do agree with the other reviewer that they wanted to sell me a tube of lipstick for touch up's, but I declined.
All in all everything was wonderful at J/A as it always is. Go see Erin for hair, she is great!!

I had my hair and makeup done for my wedding at Joseph Anthony. I live in another state so I was unable to do a trial first, but they did a great job of reproducing the look I wanted from the photos I brought. They also did the hair for some of our other guests, including my mother, and I've never seen my mom's hair so pretty. It was magnificent. The cost was a little high, but it was worth it for the service, quality, and the mimosas. :)

I found that from a value standpoint Joseph Anthony was pretty comparable in price to other hair/make up vendors. Alyssa styled my hair exactly as I wanted and my make up look beautiful and lasted throughout the day. The entire bridal party looked beautiful. I would recommend!

Joseph Anthony hosted my bachlorette party as well as doing the hair and makeup for the bridal party. There was no discount or additional services offered. All told, my bridesmaids and family spent well over $3000. My 'practice hair' turned out nicely but my wedding day hair was not as nice. The birdesmaids all liked their hair. My makeup was great for pictures but looked very heavy in person. My manicure and eyebrow wax were both sloppy but the pedicure and massage were very good. They charged me $27 to take a tube of lipstick with me for touch ups after I had paid $70 to have my makeup done. Very nice facilities and attentive staff but probably not worth the price.

Unfortunately, I have to say that Joseph Anthony provided me with a pretty lackluster experience on my wedding day. I should have cancelled after my trials, but for some reason I thought that things would work out on the day of. First of all, the makeup artist took it personally when I did not like my makeup at the end of the trial, and she became extremely rude and unprofessional instead of offering suggestions or changes. She actually told me, "ok well I have to go." There is no discounted price for trials, by the way.
On the day of the wedding, the bridal "suite" is not a suite at all- it is basically a training area which is sparse, uncomfortable and ugly. The refreshments they claimed they would provide were a few bagels sliced in quarters and some cheap champagne. I would not complain about these things except that they really talked it up...the bridal suite was certainly not what I would have pictured for a salon of this (supposed) caliber.
Most importantly, I ended up disappointed with my hair and makeup on my wedding day. Despite having a trial, my hair is probably my biggest regret because it was actually a little uneven, which I did not realize until seeing pictures later.
Lastly, be aware they will make you pay the entirety of the costs of booked services before the day of the wedding (not even just a deposit), and they were completely infelxible about the fact that my bridesmaids were going to pay for themselves. I basically had to ask my own bridesmaids to pay me back for their hair- SO tacky, but unfortunately I could not afford to cover the cost myself. Overall, this salon sells themselves as an upscale and professional salon, but I felt that customer service and results were both lacking.

Go to Joseph Anthony for your hair but avoid going there for makeup...Avoid it like the plague for makeup. I chose Kathleen as I said due to other brides suggesting her....well maybe it was just an off day for Kathleen but my makeup experience with her was absolutely terrible. I truly hate writing bad reviews but this needed to be said. I'm still having nightmares about how awful my makeup looked. Granted I did not do a trial for my makeup because I don't have money to spend on pointless things like that so it might partially be my fault but I showed Kathleen this picture of somewhat dramatic but elegant eye makeup. It was fall looking which fit in with my theme as there were shades of orange and light brown as well as a cream glittery shade. From my eyelashes to my eyebrows was just brown. No differentiating between colors or parts of my eyelid. Then she used cream eyeliner instead of liquid which was clearly shown in the picture (picture an elegant vintage cat eye look), now I don't know what other people have experienced with cream eyeliner but at least for me it goes all over my eyelids. I took a peak at what she was doing and started to cry. She was not apologetic and I apologized more which is whatever but she took off the makeup as much as she could and continued to do even worse. My lipstick even looked "wonky" and was not even on either side of my lips and it was also not filled in all the way. She just told me several times that's what she and other makeup artists are taught and that I'm just not used to such a dramatic look (even though I am always wearing thick eyeliner/cat eye). I had to just suck it up and look like crap on my wedding day. Fortunately, I have bangs so I was able to cover the mess that occurred on my eyelids but I still fear it was not enough (I haven't gotten my wedding photos back yet so we'll see). The makeup didn't even last to the ceremony and was smudging all over the place because again she used a cream eyeliner.

Since I had always had good experiences at this salon with getting my hair cut I decided to use it for my wedding day. My mom and I went to have a hair trial done about 1 month before my wedding, and our full price "up-do's" fell out within 1 hour of leaving the salon. When I called them back and told them how upset I was they gave me attitude and were not nice at all. I called back numerous times and still nothing was done. Since it was so close to my wedding I had to still use them for my big day. We booked their private bridal party room, so we were supposed to have a continental breakfast and mimosa's. Unfortunately when we got to the salon, there were 6 bagels and a carton of orange juice waiting for my party of 10. On top of all that, there was no where to sit while waiting for your stylist so me and my bridesmaids had to stand around and wait to be called. I would have expected more from a salon of this caliber or at least an apology for making my wedding day even more stressful than it already was! Think twice before using them for an important event!

Awful experience
I had an awful experience with my Moxi Laser procedure with Maureen. I paid $500 something for it and she only did just one pass (round) over my skin with the laser , the procedure supposed to be involved with multiple passes (3-4 passes). since it was my first time had Moxi laser treatment and unfamiliar with the treatment, I did not question her, I trusted her to perform the treatment correctly. I am very disappointed with the service and lack of transparency, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !!!
