Joodie was nothing short of amazing. My wife and I were kind of an apprehensive and shy couple at first first, but just a few minutes of working with her, we knew we found the right photographer for the job. She had a way of connecting with us and made us feel like we were friends previously.

We originally had an engagement shoot, but of course, due to life, we had to reschedule and Joodie was totally understanding in accommodating our needs. The engagement shoot was quick, easy, and fun. We had done some other "just because" shoots with another photographer, but we didn't really enjoy it as much. Joodie was able to make us feel comfortable and didn't make us feel awkward at all. Posing was simple and actually looked good/natural.

Of course, Joodie shot our wedding as well! She arrived on time and was very professional. She gave me a rundown of what parts of the wedding she was going to capture for sure. During the wedding, it was as if she wasn't there - but, the photos prove otherwise! She snapped things that I didn't even know happened. The photos were flawless and turnaround time was just a couple of weeks! Some of my friends said they had to wait MONTHS for their photos, but not me! I cannot recommend her enough.

Her directions while getting photographed were great and made us feel super comfortable!

The photographs we did receive are beautiful, but that does not make up for the headaches and stress that we endured in the 6 months after our wedding.

Joodie was very responsive and cheerful until about a month after our wedding. She had some unexplained conflict with the second photographer she hired and we did not receive any of the photographs he took. This was particularly distressing because she had given him the responsibility to take the photographs of my husband with his groomsmen. We did not receive any usable (i.e. large enough to print) photographs with the groomsmen and thus, did not receive the full basic suite of wedding photographs.

I understand that things do not always go as planned, but Joodie did not handle the situation like a professional. She quickly became uncommunicative, defensive, and hostile. She would ignore my emails for months at a time when asked for updates and would give unclear and often conflicting responses when she did reply.

Had Joodie simply behaved professionally, taken responsibility for her employee's mistakes, and returned a fraction of the money she was paid for missing or unusable photographs (as her contract states) I would not view the whole experience so unfavorably. But we were treated so poorly that it taints everything, even the beautiful photographs we did receive.
