Joel did an exceptional job! We were so pleased with his photography abilities (he has a knack for seeing candid moments and capturing them right on time - exactly what we were looking for). He was flexible (willing to put up with a HUGE family photo session), reliable, and our pictures even came back quicker than expected! We were very happy we chose Joel and would recommend him highly to anyone looking for a reliable, friendly, and personable photographer who cares as much about your pictures as you do.

Joel has done a joint bar/bat mitzvah, as well as 2 weddings in my immediate family. We have always been extremely pleased with the results. He is excellent at capturing candid moments, and isn't so much about dramatization, which was what we were looking for. We asked to have our pictures available on a website and he got that done. Although he does not typically do very large weddings (ours was 270 people), he agreed to do it for our family. Also, we had 11 nieces and nephews present, and he took large family photos of everyone patiently, while trying to entertain the kids. Overall, we were very happy with our wedding photos and would definitely recommend him to anyone. He also gave us a complimentary shooting of engagement photos before the wedding to learn how we photographed. For videography, he has a colleague that he asks to join him. We did this for previous events as well as we couldn't budget for a fancy video. We also weren't into having a story made, but rather just wanted raw footage. We weren't as pleased with the video since the videographer missed some key moments like our entrance after the ceremony, and also the quality of the video wasn't uptodate to today's technology. However, we did get two DVDs that work very nicely. I think this was more a function of us not realizing that the video was a little more important to us than we had expected, but this definitely does not reflect Joel's abilities, or even any false promises. Importantly, Joel is a really nice guy and will listen to your requests (like our very large family, etc) and is very nice to work with.
