Joel photographed our wedding this past October (2009). Not only is he easy (and fun!) to work with- but he also has an uncanny ability to capture both the important and the extraordinary moments of your day. He didn't miss a shot- even with a 16 member wedding party and 225 guests on the list!

In my ideal world, Joel Bock would take all of our family photos for the rest of our lives. He set us all at ease with his easygoing approach and took the best photos of my kids doing the things they love in their natural environments. The photos taken by Joel of our family are some of my most treasured possessions! I would (and have) recommended him to anyone looking for a photographer for any occasion.

Joel is an amazing photographer. He did our wedding last July (2009) and the photos are beautiful. He really has an eye for a great shot. Our posed photos are fantastic but our favourites were all the unposed, natural shots of our friends and family, capturing conversations, jokes, the general fun of the day. We look back at our photos often and we remember how easy it was having Joel as our photographer. He did everything we asked and hoped for and more. I can't recommend him enough!

Joel captured my and my husband's unique wedding perfectly. He captured the spirit of the ceremony and the spirit of the relationship better than we could have hoped. Joel has a rare eye for moments, and he goes about photographing them while being inconspicuous and unintrusive. His professionalism and good service were much appreciated. And we love, love, love the photos.

We did engagement and wedding pictures with Joel. The pictures were natural, beautiful, and well done all around.


Picture Style:
Natural... he was really good at capturing us doing normal things. No cheesy posing and/or fake smiling. There are a few artsy shots that he took and we LOVED them. So he can do a range of pictures depending on what you want. He is really good at LISTENING to what you want and do not want.


Location/Accessability:
He was easy to reach by email or cell phone. He did not take long to call back when we did leave a message on this phone or email. That would be important for those in a crunch for time.


Services:
He did engagement pics for us and he also did all our wedding pictures. He included some other little perks like wall hangings and albums. (This was apart of the package we got. So you would have to ask about those things) We got albums made for our engagement as well as for the wedding and the layouts made all the difference.

He stayed for the entire wedding from the prep to the reception so we have pictures for the entire event. The engagement session was quite a long day too. Joel really does his best and takes his time to get the best shots.


Price:
He is willing to negotiate. That is most important.


Personality:
Laid back.... very chill and he has "sense" about him -not only about pictures but about people. You don't get this distant feeling from him.
