Everything about our experience working with Jo was out-of-this-world incredible.
We had a camping mountain wedding that had a lot of different moving parts - a talent show the night before, an outdoor ceremony with variable weather, a large amount of people (~200 people), live music, and a silent disco afterparty. Not only did Jo capture every aspect of the best weekend of our lives with incredible quality, she was also so much fun to be around! Our families kept asking us if she was a close friend, because she brought such a fun-loving and calm vibe to a day that had the potential to be quite stressful.
Jo is an immensely talented photographer. She captures emotions in a beautifully vivid way. We were so excited when she told us she liked to work with film as well as digital - and she uses both mediums to the fullest of their abilities. When we got our photos back, our minds were blown. She captured the big moments and the small ones, the laughter, the tears, the dancing, the general vibe of the weekend so incredibly well. And the amount of photos we got was insane! I still don't think I have looked through all of them, there are so many. She has an awesome website for the photos that is sectioned into different categories as well as gives you the ability to save your favorites.
Jo was super communicative throughout the months leading up to the wedding, and gave us lots of helpful questionnaires to fill out so that we could communicate what we wanted - and she fulfilled our requests and more! She also took the time to meet up with us in person beforehand, which I loved as it helped us to get to know her better.

All in all, if you are looking for a wedding photographer - Jo is truly the best!

First of all, I was so overwhelmed by the process of finding a photographer for our wedding, which was at Windy Point Campground in Dillon, Colorado Labor Day weekend 2024. I feel so grateful that we stumbled upon Jo, as not only did she take the most wonderful photos (better than we could have imagined) but her energy, kindness, enthusiasm and ability to be everywhere at once was definitely one of the most talked about things from family and the bridal party. She is the perfect person to photograph any wedding, but especially great if you are having a campground or nature based wedding.

Jo camped out at the campground with us, and covered our rehearsal dinner / welcome party talent show. She got some amazing shots of very special moments and we are so grateful we decided to add this on last minute.

She brought along additional film and Polaroid cameras, which were so fun to look through and we will cherish forever. She also brought a larger scale film camera and took some portraits for us which came out great too.

Jo was the only shooter for our wedding of around 175 people. She definitely got more photos than we expected, and was able to keep up on track photo wise when the groomsmen arrived late and set the schedule back. On top of this, she was just so chill and easy going, and even took time to remember family members names and connect with people which was really special. She was up with us late into the night at our silent disco after party too!

Jo is magic and we would hire her a thousand times over. She is incredibly kind, detail-oriented, dependable, and was an absolute joy to spend our elopement day with! Looking through our photos is like we're reliving our day- but we get to actually watch us live it this time. Her eye for capturing raw emotion in an intimate setting coupled with her documentary style was everything we could've wanted from our photos of this day. They feel timeless and they are so, so beautiful. We are so grateful!!
