Everything about our experience working with Jo was out-of-this-world incredible.
We had a camping mountain wedding that had a lot of different moving parts - a talent show the night before, an outdoor ceremony with variable weather, a large amount of people (~200 people), live music, and a silent disco afterparty. Not only did Jo capture every aspect of the best weekend of our lives with incredible quality, she was also so much fun to be around! Our families kept asking us if she was a close friend, because she brought such a fun-loving and calm vibe to a day that had the potential to be quite stressful.
Jo is an immensely talented photographer. She captures emotions in a beautifully vivid way. We were so excited when she told us she liked to work with film as well as digital - and she uses both mediums to the fullest of their abilities. When we got our photos back, our minds were blown. She captured the big moments and the small ones, the laughter, the tears, the dancing, the general vibe of the weekend so incredibly well. And the amount of photos we got was insane! I still don't think I have looked through all of them, there are so many. She has an awesome website for the photos that is sectioned into different categories as well as gives you the ability to save your favorites.
Jo was super communicative throughout the months leading up to the wedding, and gave us lots of helpful questionnaires to fill out so that we could communicate what we wanted - and she fulfilled our requests and more! She also took the time to meet up with us in person beforehand, which I loved as it helped us to get to know her better.
All in all, if you are looking for a wedding photographer - Jo is truly the best! -

Truly could not have asked for a better photographer!
First of all, I was so overwhelmed by the process of finding a photographer for our wedding, which was at Windy Point Campground in Dillon, Colorado Labor Day weekend 2024. I feel so grateful that we stumbled upon Jo, as not only did she take the most wonderful photos (better than we could have imagined) but her energy, kindness, enthusiasm and ability to be everywhere at once was definitely one of the most talked about things from family and the bridal party. She is the perfect person to photograph any wedding, but especially great if you are having a campground or nature based wedding.
Jo camped out at the campground with us, and covered our rehearsal dinner / welcome party talent show. She got some amazing shots of very special moments and we are so grateful we decided to add this on last minute.
She brought along additional film and Polaroid cameras, which were so fun to look through and we will cherish forever. She also brought a larger scale film camera and took some portraits for us which came out great too.
Jo was the only shooter for our wedding of around 175 people. She definitely got more photos than we expected, and was able to keep up on track photo wise when the groomsmen arrived late and set the schedule back. On top of this, she was just so chill and easy going, and even took time to remember family members names and connect with people which was really special. She was up with us late into the night at our silent disco after party too!
If you are looking for a talented photographer with the best vibes, we definitely recommend jo.

Jo is magic and we would hire her a thousand times over. She is incredibly kind, detail-oriented, dependable, and was an absolute joy to spend our elopement day with! Looking through our photos is like we're reliving our day- but we get to actually watch us live it this time. Her eye for capturing raw emotion in an intimate setting coupled with her documentary style was everything we could've wanted from our photos of this day. They feel timeless and they are so, so beautiful. We are so grateful!! -

I can't say enough wonderful things about Jo or recommend her more! From the very beginning Jo made our experience feel very intimate and special. She tailored the most perfect morning elopement to us and made us feel extremely comfortable throughout the entire time. Jo captured our love and raw emotions in every single picture and we couldn’t love our photos more! Words cannot express our gratitude for her kind and committed personality! She embraced us and our pup and all of our intimate and unique moments like grabbing morning donuts and coffee or taking portraits of our dog. Without a doubt book Jo! She is the most genuine and talented individual and we are so happy to have had her capture our love! -

Jo did the most incredible job! She made us feel natural in front of the camera and has a real eye for thoughtful photos. We were teary-eyed at the moments she caught during our wedding day. Her photography feels timeless and beautiful. It was obvious that she spent time going through our notes and requests and implemented them while also having a skilled eye to get shots we would never think of. She went above and beyond and was incredibly kind. Several of our wedding guests commented on how friendly and personable she was. You can tell she puts a lot of thought into her work and we are so thankful we hired her! -

We absolutely loved having Jo as our wedding photographer!!
We planned an outdoor micro wedding and had no clue what we were doing, so it was wonderful to have Jo guide us through everything we needed to discuss photography-wise for our wedding day. On the day of our ceremony, she stayed on a tight schedule to be able to take plenty of shots of each little moment. I especially appreciated her calm energy on what felt like a very busy day. Finally, Jo's work is beautiful!! We love looking back at our wedding photos and still receive frequent compliments from friends and family.

Jo is more than a photographer — she's a visual storyteller.
We couldn’t imagine having our engagement photos taken anywhere but the location where my now husband took me climbing outdoors for the first time during our very first date.

Jo captured our wedding BEAUTIFULLY!
What can I say?! Jo is such a joy to be around and totally puts you at ease during what can be a very anxiety inducing day. She truly did such an amazing job capturing our wedding day. My husband and I are by no means naturals in front of a camera but you would have no idea if you look at our wedding photos. She made us feel so comfortable during our portraits and we never felt confused or lost during the process.
We had multiple wedding guests actually mention to us how incredible she is at her job - she is in the right spot at the right time and always manages to get that magic shot.
I cannot say enough about how lucky we feel to have had her on our team during the wedding day. We will treasure our wedding photos for a lifetime! thank you Jo! -

I can’t say enough about how amazing Jo is! She was so helpful and accommodating throughout the time we first spoke, and throughout my wedding. My husband and I got married in the middle of the day, but also wanted some golden hour photos in late afternoon, Jo allowed us to split up our time so we could get the photos we wanted. The photos that she took of us are AMAZING! I love how all of them turned out. The style of her photos was exactly what we were wanting. My husband and I were also coming from GA to TX to get married and she was so helpful with recommending other vendors such as floral and hair and makeup, and finding a spot for our golden hour photos. If you are thinking about booking Jo, just go ahead and do it! You won’t be disappointed! :) -

Amazing and beautiful!
Jo was the absolute best!
From the very start up to the end she was so flexible, helpful and lovely.
We were a bit scared of not being able to “relax” and “pose” but when you’re dealing with a professional like Jo it just goes so smoothly.
It was honestly a pleasure and I’m not even talking about the end result. The photos of our wedding will be cherished forever and look absolutely amazing. We love her universe, it’s exactly what we wanted. She went above and beyond to deliver the most amazing memories.

Jo went above and beyond to guide us through all of the steps to making our day even more memorable. We got married at the Chapel Dulcinea and Jo guided us on where the best lighting was, different spots around the Chapel to capture the look we wanted and to help us get some differentiation. She stayed longer than we had actually booked her for, and did a fabulous job editing. We came out of our wedding with 100’s of amazing photos to choose from - including some Polaroids... very cool! We would HIGHLY recommend Jo to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. -

Absolutely Perfect!
Jo was the perfect photographer for our wedding! We eloped in October of 2020 using her elopement package and it went wonderfully. She worked with us during Covid and had a plan in place in case anything happened and it was a big comfort. She was always up for a quick conversation, took my vision into account and made us so comfortable and relaxed on our big day. Our pictures are amazing and I would highly recommend her services for anyone's wedding or special occasion! -

Jo was more than amazing photographer for our big day! Our original wedding plans were changed because of COVID-19, so we decided to elope that weekend. I was kind of worried that I wouldn’t find a photographer that I liked in such a short amount of time, but I came across Jo’s portfolio and loved her work. When the actual wedding day came she was not only on time, but also such a sweetheart throughout the entire day! We definitely appreciated how she was more focused on getting the perfect shot then anything else. Definitely will work with her again in the future!(: -

Jo was absolutely amazing! She remained in consistent contact in the weeks leading up to our event. We never had to wait long for a response to any inquiry. Jo also provided us with a template for outlining the specific photos we were looking for, and she made sure to ask the kinds of questions that would help her truly understand the vision. We just received the final edits from her, and WOW! My wife and I were absolutely stunned at not only the quality of the images, but just how spot on she was with our wants and vision. She took all of the shots we wanted, she was timely, organized and really found the best ways to make use of the venue for truly memorable shots. Jo was a hit with guests at the wedding. Joanna was the photographer for our wedding a little over a year ago. She was very easy to work with (met us at Cenote and had a good conversation about what we wanted, both listening to us and providing suggestions to help us articulate our thoughts, happily accommodated some requests we had). Day of the wedding, she was the perfect mix of taking great photos without getting in the way of all the celebrations. Highly recommended -
