Jenna and Andrew are just INCREDIBLE! I could not recommend them any higher, honestly. Here are 3 things I want you to know about them:
1. The results. Our pictures and video are beyond gorgeous and we couldn't be happier with them. The quality is absolutely amazing and their eyes for detail are just stunning. The angles, images, colors, poses, candids, faces they captured, special moments... just everything we could have hoped for and more. From their equipment to skill set; they've obviously invested heavily in their craft for many years and it shows.
2. Their professionalism. I promise you won’t regret it… just TRUST them. Before our wedding day, I channeled all my nervous energy into creating a ridiculously long “wish list” of shots to capture, gleaning inspiration from all the internet advice. I wish I could go back and tell my former self that was absolutely NOT necessary. Jenna and Andrew captured it all and more. Jenna patiently helped me filter through everything, assuring me that 98% of what I listed was in their standard repertoire already. And for those few extra details that were unique to our special day, they remembered EVERY LAST DETAIL, even ones I had since forgotten. Seriously, every detail. It was beyond amazing. Their entire process and all communication is the epitome of professionalism. My family has absolutely raved over our shots “how did they even get that shot? I don’t even remember them being there!” Both discrete and ubiquitous. When guests jumped in, they always made sure we knew which camera to look at, a small but important detail. We were impressed with EVERY step of the process. Jenna’s communication was excellent, all forms were incredibly thorough, and the turnaround time was way earlier than we anticipated! Could not recommend any higher.
3. Their friendship. Like Jenna told me the first time we talked, your photographer is going to be your shadow the whole wedding day. Their demeanor and ability to read the room is incredible. At times, she felt like my closest confidant warmly reminding me to drink water as she reminded me it was time to get dressed… sharing a wink over getting my mom angled just so for a more formal shot… laughing as we got pine needles all stuck in the bottom of my dress because we were having so much fun under a tree… so many special memories! And then when I look at the pictures themselves, it’s like they've known us for YEARS (HOW did they know that SUPER characteristic face that my husband makes when he raises his eyebrows a certain way?!? They got it!) Their ability to capture emotion, not just imagery, is phenomenal. We are so incredibly grateful for Jenna and Andrew and couldn’t recommend them any higher.

Jenna and Andrew know what they are doing - we are unbelievably happy with our wedding photos! They went with us to multiple locations and documented our day. They were very helpful in creating our timeline and worked with our requests for certain pictures. Jenna answered all of our questions promptly and helped clarify everything prior to our wedding day. We enjoyed working with Jenna for our July 2021 wedding. Jenna was easy to talk to, organized, flexible and very interested in giving us the best experience possible. Because we were planning this from out-of-state, it was a bit more challenging. However, Jenna worked with us via FaceTime, text, phone, etc. to make sure that we were all on the same page. She even squeezed in an engagement session for us a month before the wedding to get to know us, and went to our venue to scope out photo opportunities weeks before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, Jenna and her second photographer kept us moving through our schedule on time, but didn't ever make us feel rushed. We loved the photos she took and she turned them around very quickly. She got all of the shots we wanted and it was hard to choose our favorites- there were too many! Jenna and Andrew are an amazing photography team! We hired them for our wedding originally scheduled in the fall but had to reschedule due to covid. They were flexible with rescheduling our wedding date to the following summer. We are blown away by our wedding pictures! Jenna helped us with our wedding timeline and picking out a place to take pictures. She helped keep our wedding day on schedule with everything I had planned. Jenna and Andrew have keen eye for backgrounds and placing people. Wedding pictures aren't something you can go back and retake. We are so thankful we chose them for our wedding photographers! Everyone commented on how beautiful our wedding pictures are. We printed a few pictures on large canvases and the quality and clarity of the photos are outstanding.

Jenna of Jenna McCarty Photography exceeded all my expectations for a wedding photographer. We met through a mutual friend, and after a thorough and impressive meet n’ greet over the phone, we knew it was a fit! My husband and I didn’t realize we were picky about our wedding photographer until the choice came down to it, and we couldn't be happier about picking Jenna McCarty Photography. Jenna and Andrew were fantastic throughout the entire process. They listened to our desires for our vision for our day. Jenna is very organized, prompt, and attentive to detail. During our wedding weekend, Jenna and Andrew went over and above by spending some time at our venue scouting it out for lighting so they were extra prepared the day of. Despite living in Chicago, she was able to amend her contract to include fairly priced travel plans and accommodations. She was professional, organized and prompt during phone conversations and other communication leading up to the wedding. After the wedding, we received our photographs faster than initially expected, along with multiple teaser photos right after our ceremony. For the photography itself - it’s stunning! She has beautiful photos in her portfolio, and brings those same talents to your wedding. She even scouted our venue in advance to make sure she knew the best spots and angles for great lighting! Her personality was a great match for us, as she coordinated the family portraits efficiently. Right after the ceremony, she was firm but sweet in getting family and friends lined up for portraits shots, and it was respectful of both our guests and the church’s time. During the rest of the day, it was stress free as she laughed along with us during getting ready shots, bridal party shoot, and evening. Lastly, she and her Andrew checked in throughout the reception to ensure we got all the photos we wanted. All in all, we’re extremely happy we chose Jenna McCarty photography and would recommend them to other couples too!

Jenna and her husband Andrew did our engagement and wedding photos. We would highly recommend them!! We are so happy with how beautiful the pictures turned out. During the whirlwind of the day we didn't realize how many details and memories we missed after seeing our pictures! They captured the day so well and we have all these great memories to looks back on. Jenna was organized and thorough in helping us plan our day because she wanted to capture the moments most important to us. She kept in touch in the days and months leading up to our wedding and she was available to answer any questions that popped up. A total professional. Our best decision by far! We did our engagement photos with them as well and Jenna is amazing at giving advice as far as how to pose, etc. My husband did say Andrew was a little quiet on our wedding day but with him and my cousin to deal with, I don't blame him! 😂 The photos are beautiful and I was very comfortable at every step. i found Jenna through WeddingWire and she was amazing to work with! Her and Andrew her husband/fellow photographer made Joe and I feel so comfortable. From our first interaction where we got to know each other to see if we were a good fit to spending 9 hours together on our wedding day. We did our engagement photos at Edgewater and they were able to get there early to discover a new path Joe and I had never explored which I thought was cool. The same thing with our wedding day they were ready to give us unique areas to explore for our wedding photos. Jenna was good about checking in periodically during the wedding planning to make sure everything was going well. They were both professional and very accommodating to work with. I honestly forgot they were there half the time bc they just made me feel at ease and captured the best moments of our fun day.
