About
God has given me a servant’s heart which is the foundation of my business. My job is to serve and to bless you by knowing what you need (often before you do), putting you first, enhancing your wedding-planning and wedding-day experiences, and providing you with cherished memories you and your family will love to look back on for generations to come.
You’ve been dreaming about this day - YOUR day - for a long time, that’s why you won’t settle for anything less than the best to capture these once-in-a-lifetime moments…
This is one of those rare occasions you get to create your dream day from scratch, surround yourself with your most beloved family and friends, join yourself to the love of your life, and tell your love story in a way you will cherish forever. In other words, you get to make this day about YOU and I’m here for it!
I love weddings because I love marriage…
Weddings are some of my favorite events to photograph for many reasons, most of which is because I love the idea of marriage. To me, preserving the memory of a wedding is beautiful because it is the beginning of what comes next… A sacred lifelong relationship. The combining of families. The creation of a new one. Growing together by experiencing life as one.
Successful wedding photographers combine passion with skill and experience – they know that photography is all about telling your unique story.
After all, a picture is worth a thousand words. As a wedding and event photographer for over 18 years, I’m had the privilege of capturing everything from surprise proposals, elopements, weddings & receptions, anniversaries, to large & small events. This means at every time of day, in every type of weather - from indoor and outdoor settings, urban and rural venues, and everything in between. My goal is to help you remember each vivid detail, from the colors and textures, the full span of emotions, to the love you have for each other and all your loved ones
Proposals and weddings are about you and your needs and not about me.
Anticipating glitches or weather issues are a normal part of photography and I insist on being prepared so you as the groom-to-be aren’t worried about anything except your future bride as you plan that proposal, and so you as the bride can be present, drinking in every moment of your big day. I coach each client through the process and we identify the ‘what ifs’ and create backup plans as needed. How do you encourage her to get that manicure without her suspecting!?), and other tips for pulling off a big surprise. . I am always happy to offer my professional opinion and counsel based on my experience, but at the end of the day, I’m here to serve YOU!
Everyone believes they will never forget the details of their special day, but time has a tendency to blur the edges in our mind’s eye.
Even our most precious memories can fade with time. From the first anniversary to beyond the 50th, quality photos will document a legacy for decades to come. My clients often forget that photos, unlike flowers, food cake etc., are one of the few tangible things that will last a lifetime and beyond – our quality prints will last up to 300 years in fact!
Sometimes a couple doesn’t know what they want their wedding photography to include or even how they want their day to flow.
That’s okay! One of my favorite parts of wedding and event photography is asking the right questions to help you identify how you want your day to go, what’s important, what’s not important, and to help you think of the details you don’t even know to ask. I would be lying if I didn’t say that wedding planning wasn’t a bit of my job description as a photographer. How important is it to take more time for romantic photos after your ceremony vs utilizing that time to be with friends and family? Do you want to wait to see your bride until she walks down the aisle, or do you prefer an intimate moment before the ceremony to capture photos then in order to save time afterward? It’s my job to help you determine these things if you are still unsure. Certain things will matter more to you a decade from now and, it’s my job to help you think that through.
What is the story you want to tell others for the rest of your life?
I am passionate about helping you create a vision for your once in a lifetime event, from the proposal through the reception, offering customized options and spring boarding ideas that have worked well in the past but can be made your own. It’s important to have a full understanding of the timing needed for certain types of shoots, not only during the planning phase, but also on the wedding day itself given that unforeseen delays or hiccups may come up.
There is often but one chance to capture your key moments and tell this particular story…
Ultimately, there are mere minutes to capture the bride and groom’s silhouette against the peak of the vibrant setting sun, and seconds to create a lasting image of the moment a groom first sees his stunning bride walking down the aisle. On a day filled with joyous emotions, set schedules, the occasional overbearing relative, complicated family dynamics, and fun-loving pet participants, it pays to have a professional who understands the nuances of a wedding day and all that it entails and takes the time to establish a connection with you as a couple. I love hearing the details of your vision, your love story, how you met and the dreams you have likely had for this day for a long time. The intricacies of your unique style & vibe, venue, and family dynamics are important to me because they are important to you.
Wedding photos are often one of the few images available of the special people in our lives.
I lost my brother not too long ago and even in a family who values photography, I was surprised at how few meaningful photos he and I had together. In fact, the photo we used for his memorial service was the one taken at my own wedding eight years prior. We often underestimate the value a photo has until we lose someone important to us. Wedding and event photography helps memorialize loved-ones, as well as the special day itself.
It helps to have a friend who knows the Colorado mountains.
Getting engaged or married in the Rocky Mountains and surrounding areas of Colorado is romantic. But logistics can sometimes get in the way. I know this state and the mountains exceptionally well —from traffic to road conditions. I have extensive experience with popular venues and top “pop the question” locations.
At the end of the day you’re not just hiring a photographer…
You also have an experienced friend by your side who knows what works, how to make sure your future bride is unknowingly prepared before you pop that question and that person you will spend the majority of your wedding day with. Most people don’t know that they will often spend as much time with their photographer as with anyone else, including each other! In other words, if you don’t like your photographer personally, don’t hire them! In addition to a photographer, you’re also hiring a planner, a scheduler, a relationship coach, if applicable (my decade plus of marriage has gotta come in handy in some way right?), and ultimately a friend. After all, one of my favorite parts of my job is getting to help my clients document their most precious moments throughout their new lives together – maternity photos, family photos, graduations and more…
I thrive in providing priceless resources for creating a smooth and joyful day in every way possible!
I can’t wait to chat with you to see if we might be a good fit and to walk alongside you as you prepare for one of the most important days of your life!

Working with Jeff makes my life easy. Not only is he a great photographer but he will put himself all over the place in order to get the coolest angles. As a videographer sometimes the photographer will not care about your shot. Jeff is very considerate and a pleasure to work with. I am always excited when we work a wedding together. Whenever someone asks me about a photographer I always reference Jeff and you won't be disappointed if you book him for your wedding day.

I had the opportunity and pleasure to work closely with Jeffrey in September of 2015. The set up for this day was complicated and very restrictive, but he handled everything with grace and a smile in his heart. He was very helpful outside of his photography duties and just an overall great vendor. Not to mention the fantastic product he turned out for this couple. Absolute beauty and love was captured amidst a very chaotic day.

I had the pleasure of working with Jeffrey at a wedding in April. From the moment he arrived he had things under control. He introduced himself to me (the dj) and made sure we were on the same page for the order of events. It is important to maintain communication between vendors and he definitely was on top of things. He made sure the lighting was correct for the first dance by testing out his flashes and covered all the events very well. When it was time for the garter toss, he made sure the chair was ready before I could even go grab one. He is very nice and organized and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.
