In 1884, the walls surrounding the museum began as the Bucks County Prison. After a century of use, the buildings were torn down and the space was renovated and turned into a cultural art center. In September 1988, the museum officially opened, named for the Pulitzer Prize-winning author and supporter of the arts, who envisioned such a museum for the Bucks County region. We have been hosting weddings for 25 years.
