Eddie was truly amazing to work with as our wedding photographer. She is thoughtful, professional, creative and an absolute expert photographer. She captured both our intimate engagement shoot and our wedding ceremony and every picture was a work of art. She was incredibly knowledgeable about our wedding venue and knew all of the perfect spots to shoot at and where the lighting was the best. Her photos were beyond our wildest expectations. She makes you feel so comfortable that all of your pictures come out like a dream.

Besides her expert photography skills, Eddie is truly a class act person. When the news of COVID-19 began to threaten our wedding day, she was our first call. She graciously offered to continue to hold our date as well as another later in the summer and next year. She even put us in contact with a wedding planner that was helping couples navigate wedding planning during a pandemic for free. She was incredibly flexible to work with throughout the changes to our plans that COVID-19 forced us to make.

Ultimately, we held an intimate wedding ceremony with our immediate family and Eddie jumped at the opportunity to be able to capture our special day. The pictures came out absolutely wonderful! And true to her word, she is continuing to hold our same wedding date in 2021 so that we can host a 1-year anniversary reception with our full wedding guests. We can’t wait for Eddie to shoot this for us as well and see how she designs our complete wedding album!

Eddie and her team are AMAZING! Eddie first blew us away during our first phone call with her- she was warm, informative, and prepared- she knew the exact time the sun would set on our wedding day to help sketch out the timeline. She was very responsive and helpful throughout the months leading up to the big day. With rain in the forecast, we were nervous we wouldn't be able to have the ceremony outdoors or take any pictures outside at our beautiful venue. We had asked Eddie if she could come a little early to take pictures in case the weather was clearer in the morning. Without a hesitation- Eddie was more than happy to accommodate our request and it meant so much to us that she was willing to go above and beyond to help ensure we got the best pictures possible with the impending bad weather. Luckily the rain held off most of the day, and you can see she captured some amazing shots! We'd recommend any couple choose Eddie as their photographer!!

Eddie is absolutely amazing! She was completely organized, and made it so easy to work with her. She also takes amazing pictures, which we knew going into the wedding since she includes an engagement shoot to get to know her. I thought that was really helpful, so we would be confident and comfortable with her on the day of.

Eddie was my favorite person that I worked with for my wedding in October! I found her at the Fairfax wedding show and I never looked back- I interviewed several photographers but none of their work spoke to me like hers. I literally caught my breath and was frozen just staring at her photos- she makes everyone she photographs look like they are models and she captures every detail without prompting. She did both our engagement photos and our wedding photos and I am so happy that we chose her- her work still takes my breath away! She easily rounded up all of my guests for our group photo (150 in one shot!) and kept everyone on track with her timeline and portrait list. She met with us several times before our wedding day to ensure she caught all our "special moments" and "must haves" on film. Oh did I mention she shoots in both film AND digital? The film shots are so romantic while the digitals capture all the details like my flowers with precision. She easily blended in during cocktail hour and captured so many journalistic shots and candids of my friends and family. Meanwhile, she got my husband to relax and smile naturally- she has several tricks to make sure all of your shots are flattering. I'm going to use her for every event from now on- thank goodness she does family portraits and maternity sessions! She is so great- you have to find out for yourself!!!!

When beginning the wedding planning process, there were two vendors I was placing the most emphasis on: photographer and florist. I came across Jalapeno Photography (after lots of Instagram searching for Washington, DC area wedding photographers) very early in the wedding planning process, and had very little vision for the day. My fiancé and I got together for an initial meeting with Eddie, and we instantly felt at ease. She helped walk us through the whole day, and even sketched an outline. (Given we had no idea where to start, this was a huge help!!). By the end of our initial meeting, we knew we wanted to work with Eddie! Unfortunately, she was shooting another wedding on our date, but assured us her senior associate Melissa would step in and do a great job. Fast forward a few months to when we had our engagement shoot with Eddie and Melissa – absolutely fantastic. We felt so comfortable the whole time, and we were blown away with the photos we received. When it came to our wedding day, there was no doubt we were in good hands! Yet again, the photos we received were stunning. We cannot thank Jalapeno Photography enough for capturing our love and wedding day so perfectly!

My husband and I loved every second of working with Eddie! She went above and beyond at every single opportunity - she came to our venue walk through and got on several conference calls with our venue to make sure she could give us the best photographs of our event. Eddie was so much fun to be around and it is clearly evident that she takes so much pride and pleasure in her work. We can not recommend her highly enough. Eddie shot both our engagement and wedding and we plan to use her any time we need a photographer in the future.

Where do I even begin?! Eddie was truly incredible. Eddie and I first met when she photographed a boudoir session for me. I have never done something like this before, so naturally I was timid and a little nervous. Eddie immediately put me at ease with her calm and fun personality. She knows exactly what she's doing and her talent is incredible. I couldn't actually believe it was me in those photos, and my husband adored them! She also photographed my wedding day from start to finish, and I couldn't have imagined it without her. She was so organized, poised, fun. She so obviously loves what she does and that attitude permeates an entire room. She was able to efficiently coordinate all the family and guest photos. Her timeline was seamless and smooth. She captured so many moments and I am truly thankful for her. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Eddie and Melissa were amazing in capturing our engagement and wedding day photos. Everything was amazingly organized and Eddie knows how to take care of her brides! Quality of photography completely exceeded our expectations! So happy we went with Jalapeno for our wedding day! <3

We had such a great time with Eddie! I'm glad she was so nice and friendly, and funny, because we did our shoot at 6 am on the Washington Mall. She suggested the time in order to avoid having many tourists in our shots, especially since we did our photos on Memorial Day weekend. I'm glad we took her advice because the images turned out to be absolutely stunning. Eddie has a fantastic eye for unique photos, and I love that she shoots with both digital and print.
