J-ARE was my wedding DJ and he did an excellent job! JR had my guests on the dance floor all night and it was clear that he wasn't running through a simple go-to wedding playlist - he played songs specific to our taste in music and based on the live crowd reactions/preferences. I would absolutely recommend JR to any prospective couple!

JR was an absolute pleasure to work with. Super responsive, easy to communicate with, and very accommodating. We were looking for a DJ that would keep the crowd moving, without being obnoxious or on the mic all night, and he did just that! JR mixes music on the spot, so it almost feels like you're in a club with the way each song flawlessly flowed into each other. Everyone was up and dancing all night- I don't think there was ever a moment (apart from dinner) where the dance floor was not packed! We've received so many compliments on the music and how JR was able to cater to all ages at our wedding, but still keep the vibe going!

His "DJ Sheet" made it super easy to communicate what music we wanted played and when, and we were even able to meet in person to discuss how we wanted our night to run. Overall, 100% recommend.

DJ JR was amazing! He listened to what we wanted and played all the music we requested. He kept people on the dance floor all night! He also easily dealt with all the emails I would send him with changes or new requests. The sound during the ceremony and reception were perfect thanks to him and we did not have to worry at all.

Where to start! Do yourself, and your guests a favor and just book JR if he has your date available. Holy smokes this guy is the best DJ/MC that you could possibly choose to be a part of your special day. He made planning from across the country seem like a breeze - he was available any time and even dealt with our back and forth emails about songs, timelines, etc. as well as our scattered calls where we were just so unsure about everything. JR really made us feel comfortable and we trusted him with making sure everything went as planned! He proved to be way more than a DJ and it is so evident that he loves what he does and truly cares for the people he works with. We are so glad JR was available for our special day - never meeting in person prior to the day of, we both felt like we had met him before and could've grabbed beers together. Every one of our guests keep talking about how "the DJ made the party" and although we had amazing guests, it was JR that kept the dancing and positive vibes going all day and night! Take our word for it - book JR!

DJ JR Burrs with J-ARE Entertainment made our wedding on 4/24 at the John James Audubon Center so fun and awesome!! He got the dance floor packed without relying on silly games, gimmicks, or any weird "DJ Personality" (exactly what I wanted). He's extremely kind, professional, and easy-going. He played all the music that we wanted to hear and even played special requests for family traditions. We had live music at our ceremony and he came to provide the mic for our officiant - very helpful and flexible. My guests had nothing but good things to say about the music and asked for his information because they wanted him at their parties too! If you're looking for a great DJ who just knows how to keep a party going, talk to JR.

I first found JR through his Instagram where he posted a wedding he was working at our venue. I could tell by the 30 second video that the wedding guests were having so much fun and knew I had to reach out immediately. JR was so easy to talk to and you could tell he just loves music and helping others to get in a dancing mood. He met us multiple times to make sure that our ceremony order and music was set and that the dancing playlists were what we wanted. We heard from SO many guests that this was the first wedding where they really felt like dancing and had so much fun! Unfortunately, simply due to our schedule, our dancing time was not super long. If we could do it over again, we would have more dancing time to have JR playing more tunes! I was honestly nervous about the reception dancing time (Will anyone dance? How do I make people dance if I refuse to play cha cha slide?!), but seriously JR erased all of those fears and we had people who said they wished they could have stayed and danced longer! Great service, communication and great guy! Thank you JR!!

J-Are DJ’ed our wedding and did an amazing job! He was very organized and had an excel spreadsheet that spelled out who was being introduced when, what song to play, playlists for the ceremony, etc. He was super easy to work with and laid back. When we had a specific vison, he met it perfectly, and when we weren’t sure what direction to go with, for example the music during dinner, he took the lead and it was perfect. We had some unique traditions throughout the night (to get the bride and groom to kiss, table stand up together and sign song with word “love” in it) (small set of polka songs for my polish side of the family), and J-Are worked it in perfectly and had both my family and my friends dancing all night long! The songs he played during the dance were perfect for the vibe, everyone was dancing all night. I only left the dance floor to cut the cake! Highly recommend to DJ a wedding!

JR is an amazing DJ. My husband and I felt like his only client during our wedding planning. He is very accommodating and professional as well. I felt the difference of hiring him verses a big company where I would be just another number. You can tell this is a passion of his and I felt nothing but ease having him during the stressful wedding planning process. He has nothing but positive energy during meetings, and the day of event. I highly recommend and have done so already to all my friends who are engaged!
