We honestly can't say enough good things about Helena. She is like a diamond in the rough. We searched high and low for a vendor that could not only deliver the type of food we desired but also one who could do so in a way that would "Wow" our guests. She did both. She offers a unique menu but can also whip up traditional foods as well. In our frequent visits to her restaurant, we always were witness to people raving about her food. When Helena does a job she does it full force with a genuine, caring spirit. We are convinced that no other caterer could have matched the presentation, food quality, and island flavor that Helena provided on our wedding day. Working with her was like working with family. We never felt like she was a vendor.

Helena of Island Flavors n Tings has catered several events aboard our yachts at Dolphin Landings Charter Boat Center. Helena's presentation, flavors, sliders,rum tastings and Mango Bread have made each of the events memorable. The tropical flair and combination of flavors turns any event into a feeling of paradise. Helena and her staff adapted well to the guidelines of the boat and being on the water. I would highly recommend Helena and her team for your next event - add the music of the islands and your have escaped to the islands if only for a few hours.

I needed a caterer for a company event for 500 people and we wanted something a little different. Island Flavors & Tings was recommended by one of our staff who had used Island Flavors & Tings for her wedding. The mango meatballs melted in your mouth and the jerk chicken was very tasty. Helena’s homemade mango bread is addictive. We were concerned that the food may be too spicy but it was not and Helena, the owner included non-Caribbean food as well. The huge seafood boat was a big hit, with delicious fresh shrimp and crab legs. We are planning a larger event with 3 times the amount of people as last time and will use Island Flavors and Tings again. The service and staff were professional and accommodating.

The owner of this restaurant, Helena, did a fantastic job in catering our post-wedding celebration Caribbean dinner party. She was very responsive and quick to get back with answers to our questions and accommodated all of our requests. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Helena was so easy to work with and I would highly recommend this vendor to anyone looking for that tropical island style menu and flare.

She was flexible with her menu, she worked with us on what fit our needs, our budget, and our location. She was very communicative, always answered her phone or got back to me right away. She was KIND, very helpful, sweet, reassuring, as a stressed bride, I needed this! Her rates were reasonable and the food was delicious and unique! Everyone raved about how delicious it was, her staff was very professional and the presentation was great as well. The day after the event, she even returned some of our rentals for us. She just went above and beyond, and it's great to support a small business as well. If you hire her, you won't be disappointed!
