I found Mariela through wedding wire and what a blessing that was! I spoke to Mariela about possibly doing my bridesmaids and of course myself for my wedding day. I was pretty nervous about my hair and makeup on the day because even though I wanted something pretty simple, I am very peculiar about how I do my makeup. We had a makeup trial at my apartment and it was a prefect fit! She was very flexible and asked about how I felt about the hair and makeup. Mariela is super friendly, young and extremely talented.
On the day of the wedding I felt completely at ease while getting ready with her. It felt like I was just hanging out with an old friend. We had originally planned for her to just do me and one other bridesmaid, but since she was so crazy fast, she ended up doing 3 bridesmaids, my self and helped my mom out with her hair a bit as well. Needless to say, it was a great experience and I am truly grateful that I chose her!

Mariela an Alex provide my bridal party, mom and I with exceptional services over the past weekend for my wedding. While arranging for a stranger to do your makeup and hair for your wedding can be nerve-wracking, Mariela put me quickly at ease.

The makeup/hair trial was a great way for Mariela to learn about my likes and what looks best on me and I felt very comfortable giving feedback and ideas to her so we could find the right look. I was grateful for this time and the session put my mind at ease.

On the wedding day we had a packed morning with all three bridesmaids, my mom and I getting hair and make up done. Unfortunately, there was a traffic jam (completely out of their control), and Mariela and Alex were late getting to our hotel. What I appreciated most was that they texted me with updates and let me know what was going on so no panicking necessary! As soon as they arrived they got right to work and didn't stop until everyone was done. They were incredibly professional, kind, fun to work with, and generous (gave me a tube of my lip color, extra bobby pins just in case, and some hairspray just in case).

And let me just say - everyone looked fantastic! From my friend who doesn't wear much make up to another friend that does, Mariela was able to create a look at worked for each person. As the bride, I felt like my best self and I really attribute that to Mariela listening to what I wanted for both makeup and hair. I brought her a few pictures but tried to describe what I wanted and she took that very little guidance and created my dream look! Can't say enough good things. I wish Mariela lived closer so she could do my make up and hair regularly! Thanks so much!

Mariela and Alex were awesome! We had originally planned for her to do my hair and makeup and only two other bridesmaids hair, at the last moment she was able to fit in 2 additional hairdos and everyone loved her! She is young and hip with a great sense of style.

I sent her pictures of what we wanted, and she met all of our expectations. She was wonderful to work with and would highly recommend her to anyone.
