When we started planning our multi-day Indian wedding, we knew videography was going to be a top priority for us. We selected Henry within a couple of hours. His portfolio stood out that much compared to the rest. Henry once asked us what we wanted out of his video, and he said that he asks that question more as a formality because there is probably something subconscious that drew us to him in the first place. We agree. There are some things that are easy to highlight. His videos are incredibly stable with very little jerky camera movement. They are edited thoughtfully and intentionally. He has clearly honed his craft and has excellent technical proficiency. The most important aspects though felt hard to articulate, and we only realized them after all the events.

Henry and his team worked extremely hard throughout the weekend. They worked five days, morning and evenings, across four separate large events and numerous smaller rituals. Henry and his team were always there, capturing the small joys as well as the large flashy moments. He’s already shared some films, and we are really impressed with how well he captures the emotions of the guests alongside the speeches and performances. The teaser he made feels not only like a trailer to our wedding but somehow a perfect encapsulation of a very sentimental week into a poignant minute. Capturing that level of authenticity is the real magic behind Henry’s films.
Henry was also such a welcome presence. His humor added some much-needed levity. We also really appreciated his advice, which always felt so sincere and thoughtful. He clearly wanted us to have the best weekend possible, and that warmth helped us feel relaxed and in our element.

He made a comment online about how speeches were one of his favorite aspects of a wedding. He wrote, “What’s a wedding film without the voices of your loved ones? There’s something so beautiful about the words exchanged during a wedding because they almost seem unnecessary. You know how your best friends feel about you, your relationship with your parents, your feelings for your significant other. Yet here we are, expressing them anyways.” That stuck with us because we think that is the subtext that drew us to Henry in the first place, that made us select him so quickly. Like those speeches, his videos capture those genuine emotions, expressing them even if they may seem unnecessary, giving us a glimpse into the voices we missed in all the craziness. Watching his videos, we are able to relive the wedding from multiple new angles, experiencing it from fresh perspectives. We couldn’t ask for anything more.

We loved working with Henry and his team as our wedding videographers. He was with us for much of the weekend, making sure every important moment was beautifully captured. Most importantly, he made us feel completely at ease — and as camera-shy people, we never once felt uncomfortable. When he sent us the teaser video, we were blown away by how stunning it was. Our family and friends have all loved watching it and reliving the day right alongside us!

We spent a lot of time trying to find the right videographer and Henry was actually one of our earliest conversations. We wanted to make sure we talked to everyone, but it was clear after that first conversation with Henry that he was someone we wanted to work with.

His professionalism, communication, and overall work as a videographer are simply unmatched. Henry's videos did such an amazing job of storytelling and painting a complete picture of the day and the personalities of the newly weds.

As soon as we got our video we watched it a minimum of 10 times, it was absolutely stunning in terms of quality and production (go watch a couple on his website and you'll see it right away). At times I had to remember that it was my beautiful wife and I on the screen we were watching and not some movie star I don't know the name of.

Henry thank you for everything! You truly are a master of your craft and someone I couldn't recommend enough. I hope to one day find a reason to hire you again! Thank you for documenting our special day in the most beautiful way possible.

I'm writing this review as a full-service wedding planner who recently worked with Henry for a client's wedding and I can not sing his praises enough! Henry is beyond talented, I've admired his work for a while and I was THRILLED to be working with him for my client's wedding weekend!

Not only is Henry hilarious, but he's a kind, genuine soul that brings a true sense of ease on a day that can feel high-stress with a ton of moving parts. Words simply cannot describe how wonderful it has been to work with Henry as our wedding videographer. Planning and executing a wedding during the pandemic was stressful, but Henry certainly wasn't a part of that stress and actually worked to alleviate it as much as he could. Henry was an integral part of our wedding planning process -- he answered our many questions quickly and thoroughly, and he even attended our venue's final walkthrough so he could visualize and prepare for shooting the day. He worked well with our photographer and made shooting a wedding throughout an entire day, in multiple locations, seem effortless. He was a joy to be around on our wedding day and has continued to be great to work with since; he is so kind. Henry is a seasoned and knowledgeable wedding expert and artist, and he is truly a master at his craft. He captured even the most minute of details that made our wedding day so special. The highlights film he produced for us is immaculate and so tastefully done. We haven't stopped watching it since we got it! We also purchased the documentary edits of our ceremony and reception and are eagerly awaiting those as we know they will undoubtedly be fantastic. There is no one else you should hire as your videographer if you're looking for a film that is authentic to your wedding day -- Henry is the best there is.

Henry Wu was incredible to work with, from start to finish. We first met him at a bar for drinks, and instantly got good vibes. He was incredibly thoughtful and provided us with insights that we didn't think of - like that he worked with our photographers to ensure they wouldn't be in each other's way on the day of the wedding. He was an absolute gem to work with - our final products came out amazing. We have evidence of one of the most special days of our lives that was beautifully and artistically captured - I would book him again in a hearbeat. Thanks for everything Henry!

I knew from a few videos that Henry's style was everything I was looking for in a videographer. But seeing my own video has absolutely blown be away. He is so talented and captured the day's emotions in the most beautiful way. Patting myself on the back at the wonderful decision I made :)

We LOVE all of the videos produced by HWu Studios! We worked with Henry's associate team for shooting the wedding (they were great - capturing great shots / angles without being in the way at all) and then Henry produced the finish products. We highly recommend him, his team and their collective work. My wife and I are so glad we got video in addition to photography - as my wife said, "it brings life to all of the photos and brings me back much more." Stop thinking about it and get it with Henry.
