Our Dream Wedding Come True at Hudson Farm!

We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our wedding at Hudson Farm on October 3rd 2025, and we truly couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. From the moment we first toured the venue, we knew it was the one.

The delicately balanced combination of rustic-elegance was exactly what we wanted and clearly well thought out. The Barn was a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and provided strong Midwest historic vibes. The reception hall was elegant and spacious. Hudson Farm truly made the wedding feel real, intimate, and magical.

The venue is not only beautiful, but also thoughtfully designed to accommodate every part of the day—from the ceremony to the reception and everything in between.

What really set Hudson Farm apart, though, was Dan Hudson. He was incredibly professional, responsive, and supportive throughout the entire planning process. On the big day, everything ran so smoothly—it was clear that we were in great hands.

Guests are still raving about when Dan opened the doors in the reception hall to reveal a stunning fall sunset over the countryside. It truly felt magical and we will never forget it.

Whether you're planning a big celebration or a more intimate gathering, Hudson Farm truly goes above and beyond.
Thank you to the entire team at Hudson Farm for making our wedding day unforgettable. We feel so lucky to have found this gem!

Hudson farm was amazing

Hudson Farm is a fantastic wedding venue!! My wife and I got married at Hudson Farm recently and it was everything and more than we could have wished for! The venue itself is beautiful and its location in the cornfields provides a stunning backdrop throughout the event. The space can easily scale to different-sized groups, and there is a large lawn for outdoor activities. The venue includes access to a large supply of decorations (e.g. table centerpieces, wall-mounted signs, garlands, etc.), which is a huge cost and time saver when decorating for the wedding! But the absolute best part of the venue is Dan, who runs the venue. Dan did an incredible job with communication (we had to book from overseas and Dan was excellent with email communication!) and went above and beyond to make the day run exactly as we pictured it! Run - don’t walk - to book your wedding or event at Hudson Farm! And hot tip: open the doors to the reception area at sunset!

Dan is the Man!!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience with hosting our August 2021 wedding at Hudson Farm! Dan is a seasoned professional and knows just how to pull off a big event! The man will go to the end of the earth to make the say exactly how you want it! Anytime I had a question, he was very quick to respond.
When picking a venue, we had two wishes: (1) We wanted our ceremony and reception on the same property so our bridal party and guests wouldn’t have to do any traveling, (2) We wanted the outdoors incorporated in the venue. Hudson Farms checked both boxes!
Now, our wedding day was HOT and HUMID (I know, August in Illinois, who could have expected?). Luckily, the reception venue, which is a big, beautiful machine shed, is air conditioned! Our guests were able to hang out there before the ceremony started to keep them comfortable. We had hoped to open the doors at night, but it was just too hot. But I was happy our guests could be comfortable!
Dan communicated well with all of my vendors, which made my life much easier and the day run smoothly.
For a little extra I was able to come in the day before and decorate the tables. They have lots of decor from previous weddings at your disposal, which is an amazing perk!! I didn’t have to make a bunch of DIY decorations and then figure out what the heck to do with them afterwards! Additionally, my bridesmaids and I were able to stay the night at the guest house and get ready there, which was perfect.
I just can’t say enough about our great experience with Hudson Farm and Dan Hudson! Our day was better than I even imagined and I appreciate all he did to make it all work!

We would have our wedding again at Hudson Farms in a heartbeat.

We booked the barn and the reception builidng for our wedding. Joyce, Cecil, and their son Dan were very easy to work with. We were able to start decorating the reception space the Thursday before our Saturday wedding and also were able to decorate Friday as well. The Hudsons allowed us to display some of the antique decorations for the wedding and the reception. Randall did an excellent job running the bar (cash setup for ours). Randall even made a “Shirley Temple” style cocktail for the kids, which they loved.

Joyce and Cecil are so amazing to work with! They are helpful, nice, and fun I could not be happier with my choice to use them and have them be a part of one of the most important days of my life!

This special venue made our day so amazing. The owners are fantastic and bent over backwards to accommodate our wishes. I feel so blessed that we were able to have our wedding at Hudson Farm. We will never forget it.

We were married at Hudson Farm last month. It was a beautiful venue. If you’re looking to do the rustic, farm-style wedding, this really is overall a great option. They allow you to bring in your own caterer, which can save you money. And another big plus, they have a ton of props and furniture you can use so you don’t have to spend as much money on additional decor.

I’m not rating it higher than 3 stars because there were a number of issues we ran into which were frustrating.
--The owners said we would have bathrooms, not porta potties, by the time of our wedding. The bathrooms didn’t get done (it sounds like it was an issue with the contractor) but they never let me know. It’s not like we would have canceled our wedding or anything, but a heads up, when you’re paying $4500 to rent the venue for a day, would have been appreciated.
--The farm puts up ‘seasonal decorations’. It means when you get married there may be decor that doesn’t fit your style at all hanging in the venue. That was the case for us. We had to ask to have it all taken down (as we had made decorations that matched what the farm looked like when we first saw it). They did take it down, but made it seem like it was such a hassle. Your best bet, ask them to specifically tell you what decorations they will have up for your wedding date.
--The bar manager for our wedding, contracted through Hudson Farm (who you have to go with), was trying to additionalyl profit off our wedding. While we paid him hundreds of dollars to manage our bar, and made it clear we wanted everything at the bar to be free to guests (no money exchanged), I learned the morning after our wedding he was trying to make money on the side, selling cigars for up to $8 a piece to our guests. This actually really upset me as it made it appear this was my h

HOT HOT HOT. No air except in the bathrooms. Which is great if you want to watch a wedding reception from the toilet. The crazy owner accused my boyfriend (whom is law enforcement) of stealing a bottle of wine. Might I add he was not drinking because it felt like we were sitting in an oven that had been on for 3 hours. Noooooo thank you Hudson Farm!

The location was pretty but the owner or at least one of them is a joke... we had an old cooler with an unopened case of beer(cans) in it (not even opened) and they took it out of the bed of our truck in the middle of the reception without even notifying us and we’re peeking in our windows to make sure we weren’t sneaking in alcohol... luckily a friend saw them do this so we at least knew the cooler had been taken.. the bar was serving bottles and my fiancé clearly was as well since we were purchasing all of our drinks from the venue. Then as the night went on, they ran out of Busch light bottles and switched to cans. The owner went up to my fiancé and his friend and was interrogating them as to where they got the beer from, they informed the owner that the bar ran out of bottles and switched to cans, he continued to question them. Soon after, i realized that i had forgotten our card in the truck and asked my fiancé to get it so we didn’t forget to leave it, some of the staff followed him to the vehicle, stalking him as if he was going to do something he shouldn’t, mind you, they had already taken the cooler from our vehicle!! What more could we do wrong?! At the end of the night, we were pretty irritated that they just took our cooler without notifying us, regardless of what their intentions were, we simply just asked for it back. The owner became irate thinking that we were trying to drink our own beer instead of purchasing from the venue and was yelling and cussing at my fiancé calling him all kinds of obscene names and tried to start a fight with him right outside of the dance floor! Obviously not wanting more drama to come of the ridiculous situation, i tried to tell the owner to just give us the cooler and we were leaving, he had no problem pushing me out of the way (i am also pregnant) just so he could get within spitting distance of my fiancé’s face.. It was apawling. Needless to say, they wouldn’t give us the cooler until we were at the end of the driveway.
