Nestled in the heart of the Great Northern Catskills in Tannersville, New York, Hotel Lilien is a boutique hotel, cocktail bar, and event venue, perfect for unforgettable wedding celebrations.

Friends and family can stay in the 18 guest rooms and private four-bedroom suite, situated on the sweeping 9-acre property. Hotel Lilien offers both indoor and outdoor spaces and can accommodate up to 150 guests for your milestone occasion. They would also be delighted to host your wedding weekend events, including welcome drinks, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, after party, and farewell brunch.

ABOUT HOTEL LIILEN

This historic estate was built in the 1980s, with the Lodge dating back to the 1950s, offering a charming ambiance and unique features to elevate any event. Both properties have been carefully restored and renovated with one-of-a-kind antique and vintage pieces, making it the ideal setting for an unforgettable occasion.

OUR SPACES

Bar and Lounge—One-of-a-kind setting with original wood panelling and stained glass windows sets the scene for welcome events, indoor ceremonies, and epic after parties.

Side Lawn—Pitch a tent or exchange vows on this open field adjacent to the hotel

Library—This timeless setting is ideal for a private vow exchange or portraits

Private Dining Room—Gather closest friends and family for a seated meal of up to 15.

Porch and Deck—Host casual welcome drinks or a formal seated dinner in these adjacent outdoor spaces.

Pool Patio—Bring guests together for a daytime pool party or a poolside soirée in the evening.

Beautiful Wedding Venue in Upstate NY

The Hotel Lilien was an incredible venue for our wedding! The entire staff is so friendly, kind and welcoming that we felt like family. Everything from the initial tour, through planning and walkthroughs was streamlined and professional. The venue has so much character and innate beauty it was a fairytale setting for our special day. The accommodations are luxurious and our guests also were very impressed with all of the amenities and details. We would choose Hotel Lilien 100x over if we could! We could not ask for a better team and location for our wedding!!!

Unforgettable Wedding at Hotel Lilien

My husband and I had our wedding at Hotel Lilien in August 2024. There are not enough words to describe how magical the experience was.

We wanted an intimate, 50-person wedding where everyone could stay in one place, enjoy the property and the surrounding nature, and delight in slowing down together — letting guests truly connect and savor each other’s company.

Hotel Lilien was the perfect venue to create that kind of atmosphere. Basking in light and stunningly decorated, the hotel is warm, inviting, and comfortable. Our guests lingered over slow breakfasts, gathered for music in the library, and lounged with cocktails on the deck. Not only that, we barely had to bring any extra decor to the space because the vibe was already so good. It’s the kind of place that soaks up the love and energy you bring to it and gives it back tenfold.

Even more, the owners — Jason, Daniel, and David — along with the entire hotel staff, were wonderful to work with. They were friendly, flexible, and always available. We felt so supported by their warmth and professionalism, and it made the whole experience flow with ease and joy.

If we could, we’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, personal, and soulful wedding, look no further. Hotel Lilien and the surrounding beauty of Tannersville will offer everything you need to create a celebration you'll cherish forever.

Amazing Venue

My wife and I celebrated our wedding weekend at Hotel Lilien in July, and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish.

We kicked things off with a Friday welcome party catered by the hotel—the food and execution were fantastic (the peach cobbler is truly unforgettable). Our closest friends and family stayed on-site, enjoying the surrounding area, relaxing by the pool, and gathering in the many beautiful (and very chic) common spaces.

The ceremony took place in “the nook,” which was the perfect size for our 85-person wedding, offering an intimate setting with stunning aesthetics (there is a larger area for bigger weddings too). The reception and after-party ran flawlessly until midnight in the main lounge—an amazing night from start to finish.

Special thanks to Chris, one of the owners, who was incredibly attentive and professional throughout the evening. The other owners, including Daniel, and the venue event manager, Jules, were equally wonderful—flexible, communicative, and supportive right up to the week before the wedding to ensure every detail was finalized.

While this is not a budget venue, if you can make it work, I highly highly recommend Hotel Lilien. The property is beautiful inside and out, and the team you’ll work with are genuinely good people who make the planning process enjoyable. We will remember our idyllic summer Catskills wedding at Hotel Lilien forever.

A true gem

We had a deliriously happy, memorable wedding weekend at Hotel Lilien. Our entire bridal party and family stayed here, and the hotel hosted a fantastic BBQ for our Friday night welcome event. It was a pleasure working with the owners, through many months of planning right up to the big day. I can't overstate how accommodating and detail-oriented their team is -- and on top of that, they are friendly and fun, and know how to throw a great party. The hotel itself is picturesque and well appointed. I loved that we each had our own cozy room, but in the mornings and evenings, everyone came downstairs to hang out in the lounge space, which feels like an inviting living room. Their team set the tone for a great day every single day. They were always ready to help with things like distributing welcome bags, offering local recommendations and of course pouring superior cocktails. The surrounding area is magnificent in the fall -- the hotel grounds were pure autumnal splendor. We already love the photos we captured there. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat to anyone planning a quick Catskills getaway, or a much larger event with out-of-town guests like ours. Working with Hotel Lilien was a dream the whole way.
