After researching tons of limo services in the Wilmington area, all I needed was someone to shuttle my guests and my bridal party from the Hilton to St Mary's! 4 blocks! I refused to pay over $1000+ for that craziness. Horizon was so professional and timely with their communication, and knew the area well, so I felt confident that my guests (all from out of town) would be in good hands the day of my wedding. Our driver was there before her required time, stuck with us all day, and even made a couple extra 'runs' round trip for some guests who needed to leave earlier. She was funny and kind, and I am so happy that we saved a bit of money, but still had CLEAN, and safe transportation for our guests!

We used Horizon Coach Lines (formerly Coach America) for two charter buses to take our guests between downtown Raleigh and Highgrove in Fuquay. Carol, who helped me book the buses, was AMAZING. She was my absolute favorite person to work with through the whole process. She helped me carefully plan out our schedule for the buses, paying very close attention to all of our details and writing everything up exactly as discussed. She was so kind and seemed genuinely concerned that everything go exactly as hoped and planned for us on our day. Unfortunately, the bus company was bought out between the time we booked and the day of our wedding, and Carol was temporarily let go. I received a call the week of the wedding and was told that we hadn’t paid our balance, which was not true. The woman who took over for Carol was very nice, but it was frustrating having to go through all of our details again. As for the actual experience with the buses, we had some issues. I had told the bus company ahead of time that part of the street near one of the pickup points was going to be closed, and told them an alternate route. On the day of the wedding, the driver still called my father asking what to do about the road closure. One of our buses got lost on the way to our venue, and the drivers did not have a GPS. What?! Unacceptable. One of our guests had to give the driver turn by turn directions to get them to our venue on time. We were also told that the buses would be able to play music from an iPod, but that ended up not being true. Somebody had to hold a phone up to the driver’s microphone, which of course sounded terrible! The drivers were nice and the buses were standard. I’m undecided on whether I would use this company again. The price was right and in the end everything more or less worked out, but the internal communication issues and GPS-less drivers certainly make me think twice.
