Facilities and Capacity
Arriving at the Historic Zoar Village, one is struck by the sheer number of immaculately preserved buildings. A historian’s dream, many of these charming structures look out over the streets as they did over two centuries ago. Dating back to the time of its founding by German Serpartists in 1817, Zoar is a place where community and companionship are of great importance. Couples can choose to host their ceremony in the serene Zoar Gardens amongst a landscape of vibrant flowers and manicured lawns. The School House offers itself as a truly special setting in which to host a reception. This stunning building features original fixtures such as its hardwood floors and sash windows. Outside a stately portico invites couples to pose for a photo framed by magnificent columns or repose under the shelter of a covered porch. The village has ample parking available for guests arriving from out of town, and the staff can provide furniture rentals including tables and chairs.
The Historic Zoar Village’s staff welcomes couples to the village with a greeting for the ages. They can provide assistance to the party throughout the event and strive to make sure everyone has a great time. The management is knowledgeable about the history of the village and is happy to answer any questions curious couples may have.
The village offers many fine culinary establishments. Guests can grab a bite to eat in the nearby Canal Street Diner which serves up delicious plates of Greek classics. Those in the mood for a coffee and a chat can find a comfortable and welcoming venue in the Tin Shop Coffee House. Alternatively the Lockport Brewery invites guests to sample a glass of authentic Germans-style beer brewed in Zoar itself.

Historic Zoar Village
Historic Zoar Village is a beautiful little town to tour but an even better place to have a wedding . I had my wedding pictures taken in downtown Zoar in front of the No.1 building or King’s Palace they call it and they turned out beautiful! I couldn’t of asked or received better photos. Not only that but there are also beautiful flower gardens great for pictures. Highly Recommended !Sent on 02/27/2020
