About

Historic St. Luke's Episcopal Church is a sanctuary and banquet hall wedding venue located in the Treme neighborhood in New Orleans, Louisiana. Only a short drive from the French Quarter, this venue welcomes couples of all walks of life to join in matrimony in its sanctuary. The church was inspired by the evangelist, St. Luke, and hopes to embody the teachings of the Gospel writer through community, love, and spirit.

Facilities and Capacity

Historic St. Luke's Episcopal Church welcomes couples and 200 guests to celebrate their loving union on the day. Say "I do" in the beautiful sanctuary, fitted with double-height, curved ceilings, stained glass windows, and suspended chandeliers. Ambient LED lights dotted along the roof make for a romantic and warm setting. After the ceremony, couples and their friends and family can gather in the next-door event hall for a tipple, light bite, and a sit-down meal. There are ample photo opportunities available on-site, particularly at the building's front complete with red-brick walls, solid oak doors, and additional ornate features.

Services Offered

Historic St. Luke's Episcopal Church offers many services for couples before and during the wedding celebrations. Ahead of the event, the priest arranges to meet with the pair-of-honor to discuss ceremonial details and answer any questions they might have. The priest looks forward to getting to know every couple and will organize pre-marital counseling sessions to ease any pre-wedding jitters. On the day, couples have access to the spacious get-ready rooms, and there is available parking on-site to accommodate guests arriving for the occasion. Genuinely kind and caring staff.....ceremonial site and reception area are amazingly stunning!!!!

Working with the Reverend Mother and Mrs. Jennifer was an absolute delight. Communication was impeccable and made the entire planning and orchestration process for my clients seamless and effortlessly simple. The sanctuary just underwent a beautiful renovation. Providing the perfect backdrop filled with both stunning window panes and historical significance. The reception area was clean and provide adequate room for my client's 150 guests. This space is a great canvas to allow your ideas to flow and truly take life. This venue is one o historical New Orleans is a hidden gems.

Historic St. Luke's Episcopal Church's reply:

    Beautiful Church on N. Dorgenois

The best quaint church to have your wedding. I love the aisle. The inside of St. Luke's has so much charm and character. I knew when I first stepped into St. Luke's in 2013 I wanted to marry my fiance there.

Historic St. Luke's Episcopal Church's reply:

Thank you for the memories, Aisha! We agree that St. Luke's has charm and character, especially the way the light filters in through the colorful stained glass windows. The center aisle leads up to the first set of steps by the organ, and continues up to the altar rail, which can accommodate several bridesmaids/groomsmen comfortably.
