Beautifully restored today, Historic Firehouse No2 was Springfield, Missouri's first non-volunteer Fire Station from about 1900 until the building next door burned down around 1987. The space where that building burned down has been transformed into the most gorgeous courtyard garden where ceremonies are held outdoors in a lush Courtyard Garden.
Mary Collette and Paul Parker of Collette Parker Restoration (CPR) have preserved the historic character of the original Firehouse No2 while gorgeous amber chandeliers and vintage inspired light fixtures and draped sheer fabrics add a soft touch. Mary and Paul have owned and guided the restoration of this beautiful site since 1995 with an artistic eye to a more vintage and eclectic approach.
The careful restoration of this structure continues to this day. In the last five years alone, CPR has added an interior stairwell in the original hose tower, opened the "Grooms Room," an upstairs lounging area with a new bathroom, a ping pong table and a dart board, just next door to the "Bridal Party's Party Room." Vintage lighting fixtures were completely restored and fitted with environmentally aware LED lighting.
CPR's approach to restoration has always focused on adaptive reuse with a focus on maintaining a small environmental footprint. They are proud to be the only event venue in town that maintains a rigorous recycling program by providing their Green Team to every rental at no additional cost. All paper, plastic, glass, cardboard, aluminum and even food scraps which local farmers feed to their livestock, is separated and recycled in the back of the house during every event.
Historic Firehouse No2 must be seen to be appreciated! You're welcome to drop in any first or third Wednesday of every month from 4pm to 6pm for their Open House. Staff is always available to answer any questions you may have, book a date, show you around and provide the benefits of their years of experience hosting events in this unique venue.

Not only is the venue gorgeous, but Mary was super sweet when I called her the next day and found out I forgot my phone charger. I am just a bridesmaid, but she offered to mail it to me (I live over an hour away) without any charge. So nice of her and less stress now on my shoulders finding a way to make it back there. Amanda (I think was her name) was also so helpful the day of to all of us. So thank you ladies so much for your hospitality!Sent on 01/02/2016

It was a beautiful setting and Mary and Amanda followed through on everything. A great place to have a wedding and a reception. Amanda was there on the day/night of the wedding and we couldn't be happier with her serviceSent on 10/22/2017

The Firehouse is such a gorgeous venue. We didn't do a whole lot to the place and were told by all of our guests how beautiful the wedding was. Mary and crew are very accommodating and gracious. We had people on-site all day to help us and everything ran smoothly! I did forget which door I was supposed to enter the courtyard from--I went out the back side door instead of the large side doors! Also, the bridal and groom's suites were huge necessities and huge hits. The guys were grateful for something to do while the ladies got ready.Sent on 09/06/2017
