We chose the Hilton Capitol Center for our Wedding and Reception. This worked out great as we had a large number of out of town guests. Jaynie was our point of contact and took us from the beginning discussions through to the wedding day. She was a true professional. She assisted with the ballroom design for the reception which included the tables, stage and dance floor. Felica and her staff carry out the design that is selected. She worked well with all of our vendors to ensure everything would run smoothly. The Hilton provides a food tasting for people with upcoming events. They prepare all of the items on the catered menu for the tasting. Everything was DELICIOUS! The menu has been well thought out with a wide array of appetizer choices along with a Gourmet Mac N Cheese Bar, Fruit and Charcuterie Display, Gumbo and Bisque Station, Blackened Prime Rib and Orange Jalapeno Braised Brisket Carving Station, Seafood Station. At the end of our Reception, we had a Beignet Bar for our guest to enjoy. We had many compliments on the food. The wedding was in the 10th floor Heidelberg Ballroom which is beautifully appointed overlooking the city and the river with balconies. Our reception was in the 1st floor Riverview Ballroom with views of the river and large enough to accommodate a large party of guests , over sized stage and dance floor. The Hilton provides the newly married couple a lovely private meal with candles and flowers prior to the reception. For our private meal Bette provided excellent attention to detail. Friendly and attentive bellmen and valet staff. Herb provided outstanding service to our guest and to ourselves in ensuring everyone was taken care of quickly and efficiently upon arrival. Front desk personnel were very professional. Very reasonable block room rates and Monet was helpful adding rooms to our block as needed before the cutoff date. The Hilton provides a black town car for the couples departure. Herb made sure it was washed and detailed. We rented the Mezzanine suite for the bridal party. This suite has 3 bedrooms, very large bathroom with free standing modern tub and oversized shower. Area with lighted mirror for make up application and hair styling, large living room and kitchen. The Huey Long Suite was perfect for the groomsmen to get ready in. Large entry with living room with sectional sofa, kitchen, well appointed bedroom with oversized bathroom. The Hilton works well with your other wedding vendors to make your event a stress free special day. I highly recommend the Hilton Capitol Center for any event.

My daughter and her groom were married this past weekend at the Hilton BR Capitol Center. It was everything we planned for and more. From the beginning we dealt with Jaynie and she was amazing to work with. She answered every question, and they were many and she put my mind at ease. At the reception, the tables and chavari chairs were set up as planned, the uplighting was beautiful and the bars were fully stocked. The food was better than we could have planned. There were so many choices and we had a great time at the taste testing back in February. The chef really out did himself. The hotel appeared to be sold out, but the bellman and valet's are to be commended on a job well done. Although, we had no control over a hot steamy night, it cooled down a bit and we saw the most amazing sunset over the Mississippi River bridge. It just added to our perfect evening. Leslie and Ellie assisted in the final preparations and we so pleased. I would highly recommend the Hilton for your "big day"!

Jaynie Collier was amazing! Her expertise in assisting in the planning of my daughter’s big day took the stress off of me. She was always responsive to our questions and that is so important. Jaynie does a good job of disclosing and itemizing the cost of their services. The Hilton overall was a great experience for us and our guests. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the reception was everything my daughter had envisioned. Because of Jaynie and the Hilton staff, I was able to be the ultimate hostess! The smiles on our guests’ faces reflected exactly what my daughter wanted - a celebration!

Alonna was extremely busy as we dropped in during a weekend with multiple conferences, she took time to explain everything to us and followed up as well.

The entire process from the initial booking to the event date was simple and uncomplicated! Ellie took care of me every step of the way! Always available for questions and suggestions! All of the event staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and we were well taken care of all night!

Ellie was our sales representative. She went out of her way to give us the best experience we could have at the Hilton Downtown Baton Rouge. The room view was totally outstanding. Our guests and our speaker enjoyed the ambience of your hotel and the view of the fabulous Mississippi River. Definitely a place to visit and use for your convention space.

The Hilton was the perfect place for our wedding reception. We had our reception in the Heidelberg Room on the top floor. Grace, the catering manager was great to work with. She worked very well with our wedding planner and answered all the questions we had. We went for a tasting about two months before and the chef came to present the food. It was all so delicious and we got a lot of complements on it from our guests. The bartenders were also great!! We also had a great sunset and view from our reception room overlooking the MS river. The Hilton also had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne delivered to our honeymoon suite that night.Thanks to the Hilton for making it an amazing night!
