Patty, the baker at Highland Park Market in Farmington, did the cake for our wedding. Although not a traditional bakery for wedding cakes, I would definitely recommend getting a wedding cake from here. She offered suggestions to keep costs low, and the cost was significantly lower than it would have been at another bakery. The cake was beautiful and delicious! I highly recommend it!

Ok, where do i start? My wedding cake was done by a bakery in the Highland Park Market suggested by my caterer. Buying a cake from his bakery was the best choice I have made. Sal was very freindly and curtious. I have seen many pictures of wedding cakes and skeched out what i am looking for and Sal delivered. I wanted to have Tiramisu cake as my wedding cake, but Sal told Tiramisu is too soft of a cake to stand up in tiers. So what he suggested was that he can make two cakes for me, one sheet cake Tiramisu and one beautiful decorative 3 tier cake that's still edible but not as fancy. But the best thing is that he made all of this for only $350. yes you read right, $350 for two cakes, the decorative cake filled with 5 dozen of roses between the tiers. It was absolutely beautiful. And the taste? The best tiramisu cake every. All the guests thoguht I must have spent a furtune on the my wedding cake, but in fact I just very lucky to find Sal in Highland Park Market. I hope those who are reading this review choose Sal, you won't regret it.

We picked Highland Park mark because it was local to our venue, the Farmington club. We went with the tira misu sheet cake as well as a fondant display cake. The cake tasted good, but we were disappointed with the execution of the fondant cake. Overall it looked good but there was a scalloped frosting design which was applied sloppily. The rest of the cake looked right however. If you go with HP Market, pick a cake design that is simple and doesn't take a lot of work to replicate. (I will be editing out the frosting in PhotoShop from our wedding photos.)
