Highfield Hall is a hidden gem on Cape Cod. If you are looking for a more intimate garden theme wedding, this is your spot! Tara Burke made everything so easy and efficient. Highfield is so beautiful and having her to work with made it truly enjoyable. The grounds are breathtaking and made incredible photos! I am so happy I chose the venue

Being the mother of the bride and a resident of Falmouth I was very involved with the planning of my daughter's wedding. The couple was looking for a unique outdoor setting. Nothing else compared to everything that Highfield Hall offered. This historic home and grounds have been impeccably restored, offering a beautiful setting for our special occasion. The entire venue offers wonderful photo opportunities inside and out.

We were very pleased with Casual Gourmet as our chosen caterer. The meal was top notch! Mary and her professional staff attended to every detail including organizing the other vendors and acting as a planner for the day, ensuring that everything went smoothly.

Our wedding at Highfield Hall was everything we could have hoped for. We did not want a traditional out-of-the-box wedding in a hotel -- we wanted something that was special and uniquely created just for us. We got that at Highfield Hall and more! Carolyn, Marilyn and all of the staff members we encountered were friendly and helpful. The setting was gorgeous and there were many beautiful spots on the property to take our photos, from the gardens to the enormous antique mirror in the stairway. The mansion has been beautifully restored and the elegant atmosphere that we were able to offer our guests was exactly what we wanted.

This is a beautiful place for a wedding and reception. The house is incredible. I love the staircase in the main hall. I was so happy with the elevator in the back. This way we were able to make a great entrance. The staff was helpful, and made sure our day was perfect.

Loved loved loved having my wedding here. Was a bit stressed leading up to the day about the weather (the rain back up plan is not ideal) but the weather held out so everything was perfect. Loved having cocktail hour on the lawn/oversized porch. The setup of the house is great because there’s plenty of space, nice big bathrooms, semi private rooms to sit and relax for any older guests - overall, a perfect space!

Highfield Hall was such an amazing place to get married! We fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. The grounds are meticulously cared for and the house is beautifully preserved and maintained. It was such a good fit for the type of wedding we wanted - everything from the beautiful rooms to get ready in to the perfect outdoor space for our ceremony. We were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather on our wedding day and were able to enjoy taking pictures in the sunken garden and have a lovely cocktail hour on the back lawn, but one of the wonderful things about Highfield Hall is that it can accommodate small weddings inside if it rains. It was so comforting to know that we could have had our wedding inside if we needed to and it would have been just as beautiful. Our guests had full access to the grounds and first floor throughout the night, which was so nice. They had the freedom to come and go as they pleased. Highfield Hall is an absolutely beautiful place to get married and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. We would highly recommend Highfield Hall to anyone looking for a vintage wedding location on the Cape!

The gardens were perfect for the ceremony. The Hall was big enough that I would have been able to have the event inside if it rained so I was not worried. The weather was perfect so I was able to use the beautiful grounds and the inside too. The value is huge compared to other venues I looked at. The bathrooms are so pretty, so my guests felt comfortable. The Hall is elegant and the staff was very helpful. I was able to make great choices and the staff made sure everything was perfectly executed.

I would not have changed a thing!!!

We loved our wedding at Highfield Hall, and the three stars for flexibility is NOT an indictment at all, just an honest reflection of the fact that the space is an historical home, and as such, it's not anything-goes. In fact, given that is is historical, and recently and lovingly renovated, they were VERY flexible and accommodating. Just be aware that there will be some restrictions (you can't store liquor there - that's a licensing issue; there are restrictions on water inside and some indoor decor restrictions, but not many), and ask lots of questions so you know! We worked with Carolyn, who was great at answering my (many) questions and explaining possible alternatives.

There are so many pros to this venue. First, it is gorgeous. The grounds are lush and green, the house itself is beautifully redone. It is the perfect venue if you want to have a lot of flow - we had the ceremony on the front lawn, cocktails on the back porch and back lawn, dinner in the tent, dancing in the ballroom, cake in the dining room, and a photo station and games in the billiards room. That was all perfect and our guests loved it.

There are very few places on the cape that have a good rain backup plan - at Highfield, you can always move the ceremony inside if you need to (though if you have more than 80 people, they would have to stand - better than sitting in the rain or being crammed under the tent all night like at other venues though!

I saw the other review mentioning noise issues - most towns on the Cape have an 8pm outdoor noise cutoff, so one thing we loved about Highfield (as opposed to outdoor-only venues we also looked at) was we could party inside from 8pm on). They do have a neighbor who is prone to complaints about noise - our DJ simply kept the volume at a still loud-and-dancy level, and we just couldn't keep the doors open, which was totally fine (there is AC inside).

We loved that there was a ton of prep space for us (rooms upstairs, the billiards room), ample bathrooms, an a full kitchen for the caterer. The other places we looked at in our price range were missing something - either there was no bride getting-ready space, or you needed to rent porta-potties/make due with one bathroom, or the caterers would need to being a pop-up kitchen. We also loved that unlike with a hotel, we could use a caterer. And the price for renting the venue, even on a Saturday, was super-reasonable, especially given how many hours you get the house for. In comparison, most places we looked at had a 6-hour max (Highfield is 8, plus you can get there two hours prior to prep).

At the time, we could pick any caterer. Highfield has now signed an exclusive contract with Casual Gourmet to be the caterer and event coordinator for Highfield. But that's awesome, because we used Casual, and I would HIGHLY recommend them as well! (See my review of them.) Casual is very flexible - you can buy your own liquor and cake to save a few bucks if you want, and they have a big range of menus at different price points.

Anyway, in conclusion, we loved getting married at Highfield, and can't wait to go back and visit (the Beebe Woods are huge, and there are tons of trails we haven't gotten to see yet!).
