I cannot say ENOUGH positive things about my wedding experience with Jen at The Old Mill Resort!!! The venue is absolutely stunning, and working with Jen was the cherry on top. She is unlike ANY other venue owner we encountered throughout our wedding planning experience. My husband and I had to unexpectedly replan our wedding due to coronavirus, like so many other couples, and from the start, she was extremely flexible, a great and easy communicator, helpful, understanding, kind, encouraging, supportive, and such a joy to work with! We never would have expected that our unplanned and replanned mess of a COVID wedding would exceed our wildest dreams, but it did! We truly have Jen and her husband at The Old Mill to thank for that. They are extremely personal and made sure that all of our guests were taken care of and having a great time, all the time :-). One of my favorite memories from our wedding was seeing my 93 year old wheelchair bound grandfather in the pool-Jen and her husband went out of their way to assist him into the poolside electric chair so that he could take a dip in the water on a hot Texas August day-something that he hasn't been able to do in decades. It brought tears to our eyes and was a gift that neither he or I will ever forget. They also made any and all of our ideas/wants for the day, no matter how crazy they seemed, work without a complaint or limitation. That is truly so difficult to find in a venue and a venue team! The Old Mill Resort also provides onsite lodging that can comfortably fit over 100 of your guests! The condos are so nice, spacious, clean and were an extra unique and special touch that allowed us to have all of our closest family and friends right there with us all weekend. To give you an idea of all this venue offers: we arrived on Thursday and had a BBQ, with their onsite grills, for our early guests and hang out all night in the communal courtyard. We hosted our rehearsal dinner out at the pool where we had a catered buffet meal and a surprise cigar bar. That evening turned into the best pool party we've ever been to! We had our ceremony offsite at a church, but then came back to the Old Mill for our reception which went beautifully-we would not have changed a single thing about this incredible experience and would recommend it over and over again to all of our loved ones and anyone who wants to have the wedding of their dreams!!! Jen and her team have truly become fast family to us, and we loved our time with them so much that we have already made plans to return to celebrate our one year anniversary back at the Old Mill Resort in Gruene, Texas. Look no further for your big day! We know that you will fall in love here in more ways than one, just as we did :-)

The venue was set up wonderfully, we loved the location of the venue as well as the venue.

I had my wedding on 6.22.24 at the hidden gem of Gruene and it was absolutely AMAZING! It was our one and only venue we toured and we fell in love with not only the venue, but Katie & Joey as well! Everything about our wedding day was perfect and it wouldn’t have been possible without the beautiful hidden gem and Katie and Joeys 5 star management! Thanks for everything yall did to make our wedding day ✨perfect✨ Y’all made the venue shopping & wedding day a breeze and completely stress free!! 🩷

I can't begin to thank the Hidden Gem of Gruene for everything they did for us prior to our wedding day, the day of the wedding and after. The treated us like family and ensured not only us (the bride and groom) were taken care of but guests as well. Our wedding changed from in indoor to an outdoor ceremony and Katie and Joey were quick to make those accommodations. We also stayed at the cabin that is on the venue grounds. The cabin was very spacious and cozy. I highly recommend the Hidden Gem of Gruene for any and all parties.

Words cannot describe how thankful I am for everyone involved. The staff and everyone at this venue went above and beyond to make my wedding reception a dream come true. I will never be able to thank y’all enough.

I worked with Jennifer and she was WONDERFUL!!! She answered all my questions quickly and was very easy to work with and accommodating. The Venue was fantastic and the condos were great. Everything with so smoothly. Thank you for a wonderful time for my daughters dream wedding!!!

Old Mill and their staff was one of the best vendors we worked with for our Valentine’s Day wedding. They accommodated our change of dates more than once due to covid and they were extremely responsive and friendly throughout our entire wedding process. The staff are amazing to work with, an added bonus of the affordability and beautiful scenery of this venue.
