The best experience, from start to finish
Aside from being an incredibly talented designer, Heather Royal is a true professional. She helped me design the wedding dress of my dreams and created a wedding dress far beyond my expectations. She was patient and supportive throughout the entire process; though I had an idea of how I wanted the dress to be, there were many aspects I was unsure of or didn’t know enough about . Heather listened to my vision and made recommendations based on her expertise - she helped me settle on a neckline and waistline that was most flattering for my body, suggested the best train lengths and provided me with only the highest quality fabric options.
She laid out the timeline for the dress design and creation and set up our fittings and appts that worked with my schedule.
When Covid hit (2 months before our original date), my husband and I still wanted to tie the knot in 2020 in a smaller, more intimate ceremony . I found a piece from Heather’s prior collection that I absolutely loved which was altered for our summer microwedding. The dress was less formal than the custom-made but had beautiful bead and lace details. Heather also added off the shoulder sleeves for me which is my favorite neck line, but was not reasonable for a reception (I love to dance and wanted to be able to throw my hands up in the air!)
I cannot recommend Heather Royal enough - working with her was the easiest and best part of a very stressful wedding planning process!Sent on 04/12/2021

Heather is a gem
Heather designed me my dream dress, but it’s like she saw my dreams and knew what I wanted / needed more than I did. My dress fit perfectly, and was super comfortable. I love that she incorporated bits of lace from family member’s dresses. My cape was so major. It was such a moment and Heather designed it with such care and craft. I cannot sing her praise enough.Sent on 04/08/2021

Professional, Personalized, a Pleasure
Working with Heather was a pleasure. My custom, hand-sewn gown and veil were more beautiful than I could have dreamed up. Heather used her expertise to suggest a flattering silhouette, incorporated design elements from my inspiration photos, and added the most delicate and intricate details like a true artist. In addition to her talent, Heather is also professional and responsive; she made my wedding dress experience a dream come true.Sent on 04/05/2021
Team of Heather Royal
I began creating a small collection and custom apparel after years working both as a seamstress and consultant in bridal salons. It supplemented an already busy career that began on the corporate side of a luxury designer bridal house, moved to production with a bespoke couture company and led to heading all creative and manufacturing for a limited-production wholesale bridal line. My tailoring experience ranges from one-off fit and repairs to tailoring designer pieces for A-list celebrities at the Met Gala. Trained in couture, I specialize in eveningwear and millinery, using fine woven fabrics, primarily silk, vintage and European lace. I prefer traditional methods, intricate details, hand-beading, and often manipulate, dye and paint fabric and skins for one-of-a-kind pieces.
I'm also an artist, exploring different media on paper and canvas. I take commissions there as well!
