My Dream Gown
Hayley was able to take what I loved about different dresses and combine them to create a dress that was uniquely mine and just the way I dreamed it to be. She is very creative, talented, and skilled at what she does. I am thankful to have been able to use her!

Hayley came to our ceremony location to steam my gown and our bridesmaid's dresses. She was sweet, helpful, and even offered to make last minute alterations if needed. She also provides wedding gown design, preservation, and rental services. Highly recommend.

Don’t make my mistake
I would leave 0 stars if that was an option because I can’t recall having a worse experience in my life. I contacted Lauren specifically because she was on my wedding dress shop’s recommended seamstress list, although I’m not sure at this point how she earned a spot there. I brought my wedding dress to her on 2/22/21 for alterations including shortening the straps and taking in the bust as well as brought her my backless rehearsal dinner dress to insert cups/liners. She quoted me $340 and required that half be paid upfront. The goal was for the alterations to be done by early May. I went in to pick up my dress on 5/4 and the dress still appeared to be “in progress” as where the alterations were made were incredibly obvious and stuck out like a sore thumb. Her idea of shortening the straps entailed folding the upper third of the strap on top of itself and then stitching it there. The neckline, bust and back of the dress shared the same border, however after her alterations there was a huge and unnatural void in the border around the bust and the dress was more ill fitting in the bust area than when I had dropped it off. When I pointed this out to Lauren she informed me that she wasn’t quite finished, yet this was the day she had told me my dress was ready for pick up. I ended up coming back for another appt. so that she could have additional time to fix these issues and the dress was in the EXACT same condition. I informed her at this time that I was displeased with the quality of her work as it was not at all what I expected from a recommended seamstress (I likely could have done a better job in my 6th grade home & careers class). After I informed her that I needed to take my business elsewhere she told me that she had not yet sewed cups into my rehearsal dress and she was going to do that while I was standing there. My better judgment told me to tell her not to touch it since she’d already butchered my wedding dress but I thought perhaps she’s making one last attempt to have me not walk out of here anything but completely dissatisfied. She took approx. 5 minutes and put one little stitch on each side of an oversized cup which was visible when the dress gapped. What I had in mind was for the cup to be inserted between the top and bottom layers of fabric as if I had bought it that way. You just don’t go to the store and find floating oversized cups secured by 1 point on each side…After I had an incredible quality of work done by another seamstress (The Couture Seamstress aka Delbra, since you’re probably looking for a reliable and gifted seamstress) for only $86, I contacted Lauren and asked for a full refund. She refunded me $60 for the botched bust job, but still charged me for the wedding dress straps and the rehearsal dress cups. Firstly, she offered to remove the stitch work on the straps before I left which I took her up on, secondly the cups took all of 5 minutes and I know that because I was standing right there…I was curious how much 5 minutes worth of labor would cost as seamstresses charge by the hour. She declined to provide me with an itemized receipt which I requested. To this day I have no idea what I was charged for the “services” I received and have never received a receipt or invoice of any kind for the $170 I paid on 2/22/21.

Dont take your wedding dress here
DONT TAKE YOUR WEDDING DRESS HERE!!
Took my wedding dress to Hayley for alterations. She works out of her home which has a strong odor of pets. When I went inside there was a roach in the room where she keeps all the wedding dresses. When I picked my dress up and tried it on at home I noticed some details that I am extremely unhappy about ( see photos ) The fabric is bubbling at the bottom, there are stitch marks at the bottom of the dress where she hemmed it and then took the hem out, there is a snag in the fabric under the arm, the slip underneath wasn’t hemmed properly, and there is dirt on the bottom of my dress. These alterations cost $500!! This quality of workmanship is not worth this amount. When I asked her for a refund she told me I could bring my dress back to have her steam and press the fabric and discuss the matter further. After my experience I wouldn’t in a million years take my dress back to her. Hoping I can save another bride from the depression and anger this has caused me.

Use her at your own risk. Hayley was recommended to me by the shop where I purchased my bridal gown. She had me come in for 2 fittings. I had to initiate the second fitting because I never heard back from her after the first one, even though my dress was finished when I called. At the last fitting she told me she would finish all the sewing and then send it out for cleaning with a company that she gets a discount with. The arrangement was for the cleaned dress to be shipped directly to my parents' house in the city where my wedding would be held. The week before my wedding, my parents still had not received my dress, so I called Hayley. She told me that my dress had just arrived to her shop that day (what a coincidence) and that the cleaners had accidentally sent it back to her instead of to the agreed upon address. I picked up the dress from her shop and she offered to let me try it on again, which I declined because I didn't want to dirty the "clean" dress. That was a HUGE mistake. I took my dress down to the town I was getting married in and ended up trying it on 2 days before my wedding (my mom insisted), just to be sure everything was ok. When I tried it on, we both cried. It had not been cleaned - there was dirt on the bottom and it literally smelled like Febreeze had been sprayed on it. The seams were messy and bulky. Instead of removing fabric, she sewed it together in a giant chunk. The ribbon was cut, but not finished, so it was fraying. Worst yet, there was a HUGE hole on the inside. I'm not kidding. When I contacted Hayley, she refused to take any responsibility for it, blaming the cleaning people. I know it never went to the cleaning people. This is a speculation, but I think she forgot about sending it and tried to play it off as an accident that it was shipped back to her. We ended up having her refund us for the cleaning as well as refund us for having another seamstress do an emergency alteration the DAY BEFORE my wedding.
