We hired Harper as our wedding photographer and it was one of the best decisions we made during the planning process. She was so easy to work with and really understood what we were looking for. Her photos truly captured the essence of the day. She captured so many intimate moments despite everything that was happening that day. Harper also was able to take some shots on film that added a really artistic touch. We can’t recommend Harper enough!

When planning our wedding, my now husband and I of course wanted super special photos from our special day but we also wanted photos that felt like "us" and weren't super posed and/or traditional. I stumbled upon Harper Pictures on Instagram and from our first phone call, was so excited to work with her! From the beginning, she really listened to and embraced our vision and she absolutely made it come to life. She is so talented and also so warm and thoughtful.

During the wedding, Harper moved around with such ease and all our guests commented how comfortable they felt as they didn't even realize they were having their photo taken! She captured such special candid moments and also really fun, easygoing portraits of my husband and I together and with our families. We absolutely loved working with Harper for our engagement and wedding photography. As two people who generally feel uncomfortable getting their pictures taken, we felt super at ease with her! Our engagement photos were so beautiful that all our friends and family were excited that Harper would be back to shoot the wedding. During the first look, couple, and family photos, she made great use of the location and had lots of suggestions for us and our family. And then during the wedding, Harper was so kind, helpful, and mindful of us the whole time. When we received our sneak peek album, we couldn’t believe how many different shots she got of moments during the event- she was everywhere all the time, getting different angles of us and our guests during our ceremony, first dance, and conversations with friends and family all throughout the evening. Harper has a knack for being where the action is; she got so many spontaneous moments, as well as the reactions from our guests. We loved her authentic and natural aesthetic as well as attention to all the little details. We had a great experience working with Harper through the planning process, too: she was organized and thoughtful and really understood our vibe and vision for the day. I had a wonderful experience with Harper! She was professional, helpful, creative, reliable, and friendly. She met with us before our wedding to discuss our wants and needs and ensure that no big decisions were left for the day of (although we did throw a few curveballs at her during the wedding which she fielded like a pro). She even scoped out the venue beforehand to find the best spot with the best light for that time of day. We wanted a more candid style (rather than staged) and she got tons of different angles without us even noticing where she was! It was a total delight to get the photos back. Her images were beautiful and her editing felt minimal and authentic and completely reflected the mood of our event—she captured the emotions and the pageantry without any of the saccharine details you often see in this type of work. I don't know if that's her aesthetic or if she's just a really good listener, but either way, I'd recommend her to anyone. I'm so grateful for her help and talent!

Harper was our DREAM photographer. She has such a wonderful disposition and personality. Her eye for good lighting, location, and composition for photos is unmatched. She uses digital, film, and even started to incorporate Super 8 film! She gave such natural directions to us as a couple and to our families. Everything was so relaxed and it made our wedding day photographs completely stress free. She is so easy to talk to during the down time, such a kind and cool person. Harper was amenable to family photos and portraits. Not to mention, she is a master at capturing moments without being intrusive at all, she blends seamlessly with the guests and backgrounds. I would recommend to her any person getting married and would like photos taken. She has a hub in the Catskills but loves to travel, she would also be spectacular for any kind of destination or abroad wedding. We cannot recommend Harper enough for photography needs

Harper was absolutely wonderful. She has a beautiful eye and photographed the most magical moments of our wedding day, with great detail. Her presence was so calm and unobtrusive, at times I didn't even know she was there taking pictures. I cried when I got our wedding album as it captured our essence exactly.
