I appreciated James's enthusiasm and flexibility. I was worried about how the photos would turn out since both my husband and I were camera shy but James made sure we felt comfortable and guided all of us, including the bridal party. We had an awesome time and were satisfied with the results!

James Han, his wife, and his assistant photographer were great and we couldn’t have asked for better. They were organized, professional, communicative, and very personable. Both of us are pretty awkward in photo shoots, but James made it easy in setting up our scenes and poses. He was also great in guiding the larger group shoots which led to some hilariously memorable photos with our groomsmen and bridesmaids. I don’t know if every family has someone who thinks they know the photographer’s job better than the photographer, but in our case James responded very graciously and kindly, which especially impressed us. His team was easy to work with even amidst adjustments due to weather and covid. Another great impression was made when we decided not to do the typical table rounds for covid considerations, but our guests started coming to our table to take photos with us on their phones. Without missing a beat, James offered to set up the camera to take professional photos at the sweetheart’s table with any guests who wanted photos with us. After the wedding day, Hanz gave us timely updates and when we finally received our wedding photos, we were very happy with the beautiful results. I have no hesitation in giving Hanz Photography my highest recommendation.

Hanz Photography has been exceptional from the start of our interactions with them. They are extremely responsive over email and very easy to schedule with. They have a lot of great ideas and suggestions for photo ideas and locations (including any limitations/restrictions with certain photo locations), made us feel comfortable during photoshoots, and did an excellent job directing shots. Our engagement and wedding photos were absolutely beautiful! James has an incredible artistic eye for creating great compositions. Working with James and Joanne was all around the best experience a bride could ask for. My husband and I got the wedding package that included an engagement shoot (highly recommend) And I was nervous to have my photos taken professionally for the first time. But right away, they put me and my then fiancé at ease. They have a great sense of humor and a calming demeanor, and gave good direction and of course - the pictures were amazing!! On my wedding day, they were able to capture everything and more. I didn’t detect them 90% of the time which was amazing because of all the photos we got including my husband putting my ring on and the ceremony. Such an amazing shot that I will treasure forever. If you want kind, professional, easy to work with and responsive people, Hanz photography is the way to go. They made my wedding experience above and beyond.

Joanne and James are amazing. We love our photos so much. They were wonderful to work with - from beginning to end. They are experienced pros, which means they have great ideas and recommendations. We had hired Joanne and James a year ago for our engagement shoot and this year for our wedding. They were professional and made the entire process easy. My fiance/husband and I are awkward when it comes to take pictures but they made us look natural and they came out beautifully.
