When we first looked at the Halverson House they were in the beginning stages of remodeling their amazing barn and property. Talking with the owners we knew it would be a wonderful and beautiful place to have our wedding, as their vision was amazing and we knew they would get it perfect. Our wedding was in July of 2020 so we had many changes due to covid 19 and all the changing rules, through all of that they were very communicative about any changes and potential issues so everyone was on the same page. The owners are such friendly, open, caring people, and it was a joy to go through the process with them. They were always willing to answer any questions or concerns we had throughout the entire process, especially in the last month. We called them so many times in the last weeks, and even the couple days before and they were always happy to answer whatever last minute question we had. They made our day wonderful and go so smoothly. Everything about the venue was gorgeous and so comfortable and fun! They had everything they said for the day of, setting up the outdoor ceremony, setting up the tables how we picked to arrange, putting out the decor we got, having a great space for the guys and the girls to get ready separately, and they had an amazing brunch for the wedding party that morning. I am so happy we chose to have our wedding there and that it all came together wonderfully with their help. They had so many perfect places to take pictures, as their whole venue looked wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone getting married, they were so great to work with and they have such an elegant, comfortable and wonderful venue!

Where do I even begin with Halverson House as our wedding venue! From the very start, the communication was excellent, the organization was seamless, and the venue itself is absolutely stunning. We booked the entire weekend—Friday for our rehearsal dinner, Saturday for our wedding, and even stayed the night with breakfast included on Sunday.

Joi and her husband were beyond helpful and truly amazing throughout the whole process. The included décor was beautiful, the food was incredible, and the service was outstanding. We received so many compliments from our guests about how gorgeous the venue is.

On my wedding day, everything went so smoothly thanks to Joi. She took every worry and detail off my plate—and my mom’s as well—so we could both fully enjoy the day together. If anything came up, Joi immediately handled it and made it stress-free. She went above and beyond to bring our vision to life and did absolutely everything we asked.

We truly cannot thank Halverson House enough. We’ve also attended their beer gardens and always have such an enjoyable time. Whether for a wedding or any event, this place is nothing short of amazing. We cant wait to go back!

We could not have asked for a better venue to have our wedding! Joi and Mike made wedding planning and having our wedding so easy. They were with us every step of the way and their expertise helped keep us on track. Having everything on their property, including food and beverage, made our day stress free. Joi saw my vision of what I wanted my dream wedding to look like and made it all come true! I couldn't recommend Halverson House enough! When my (then) fiance and I decided that we wanted to start looking at wedding venues, we heard through word of mouth about the Halverson House. In the fall of 2024, we decided to take a tour and when we returned to the vehicle, I looked at her and said, 'I dont need to see another venue.' Her response was 'I have goosebumps, this is the place.'
When we informed the owner Joi about our decision, the initial plan was to get married in the summer of 2027, however, she told us that they had an opening the last week of April, 2025 and we could kick off the start of their wedding season. We really didnt know how we were going to pull it off given that it was about 7-8 months away. Joi informed us that they had the ability to provide the DJ (in-house) and could get us in line with floral, photography and videography vendors. They have a full-time in house chef, so basically all we had to do was fill out a couple of questionaires, figure out our wardrobe and send out invitations.
Needless to say, everything went without an issue! When our big day came, the entire staff at the Halverson house made us feel like family. They really rolled out the red carpet for my wife and I and checked boxes we didnt even know existed.
Even if you are planning a smaller event than a wedding, or just want a date night with your partner, I cannot say enough great things about the venue, the staff and the FOOD. It is a must check out!

We just got married this past weekend at Halverson House. This venue is absolutely beautiful. I had compliments all night from all of my friends and family about how gorgeous the venue was and how good the food tasted. Seriously, this isn’t your normal wedding food; it’s amazing. Joi was so so helpful both before and during the wedding. I have no idea if anything went wrong because she was so present and organized during the day. We are so grateful to Halverson House for hosting the wedding of our dreams!!

From start to finish, our experience at Halverson House was exceptional. The team was incredibly responsive, attending to emails and questions quickly, which made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. They provided a clear roadmap from day one to our wedding day, which helped us stay on track and enjoy every moment of the journey.

The staff worked directly with each of our vendors, taking the weight off our shoulders and ensuring everything was seamlessly coordinated. The quality, attention to detail, & professionalism were well worth the price.
The Planning Pod website included in the package was a fantastic tool! It was easy to use and made organizing guest lists, seating arrangements, schedules, and invoices incredibly convenient. We felt fully prepared thanks to the resources they provided.

The venue itself is stunning, offering both indoor and outdoor ceremony options that are beautiful year-round. There were separate, unique areas for the bride and groom to prep before the big day, which was a lovely touch. We also had many options for customizing the layout, table settings, and décor, allowing us to truly make the space our own.

As far as the food goes, MAJOR hit! The homemade meals prepared by the onsite staff were phenomenal—many guests, including a few foodies, raved about it being the best wedding meal they’ve experienced.

The package we chose included everything we needed, from the DJ and dessert presentation to drinks and accommodations. The flexibility Halverson House offered was invaluable, especially when we had to change from an outdoor to an indoor ceremony just the day before due to weather. They made sure everything ran smoothly, and the team was accommodating in every way.
Other thoughtful touches included a guest bus to transport people to and from nearby hotels, a golf cart for guests with mobility issues, and plenty of parking. The decor, including tables, signs, blankets, and more, was beautiful, and we were able to pick up everything a few days later without hassle. They even took care of all setup and takedown, which allowed us and our families to relax and enjoy the day.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we wholeheartedly recommend Halverson House to any couple looking for a wedding venue that combines beauty, professionalism, and exceptional service.

From the large details of setting up the ceremony, to the tiniest details of picture frames, Halverson House DOES. IT. ALL! Everyone is worried about their wedding, and making sure it’s perfect. I am not lying one bit when I say that Mike, Joi, the staff, and chef Kevin took away any stress I could have had in the wedding planning process. They did all of the decorations, down to the itinerary, card box, and seating chart! They did all of the set up, all of the take down, and all of the cooking/baking that you’d typically have to find a caterer for. EVERYTHING was done in house, all I did was show up for a showcase and supper night, where I was able to put together a mock table of the decorations I liked, as well as trying the delicious food and narrowing down what I wanted for wedding day. Once I made those decisions, Joi and her team took it from there! The online portal for tracking guest RSVP’s, and being able to click and drag them to the tables I wanted them sat at was so nice! Joi then took the seating chart I made on that portal and made it into a reality. I truly could not think of a more put together operation. All of my guests raved about the gorgeous venue and delicious food, most of them saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and the best wedding food they’d ever had!

I would highly recommend this venue to anybody who’s looking. The bed and breakfast on grounds was lovely as well! We stayed for the weekend and woke up to a delicious breakfast every morning. We were also given brunch on wedding day!

My wedding was everything I ever hoped thanks to this venue. The staff was so attentive and I felt truly heard as a bride. I adore the venue and all that came with it. Absolutely everything was accommodated, from day-of plans to guest food allergies. Venue was extraordinary, food was delicious, stress was at a minumum! I loved it here.

Halverson House is the best place to host your event! We recently rented the venue for our wedding and they made the process so easy! The communication throughout the whole planning process is amazing. We live out of the state and the staff took the time to make sure everything was set how we wanted it. They were so flexible throughout the planning process. They made the day of so smooth and were there to help with everything. The food for the brunch and dinner was wonderful! The assistance with set up and take down made the day much less stressful with us! We had so many family/friends rave about the food and how beautiful the venue was! We are so happy we chose to celebrate at the Halverson House!
