From start to finish, our experience at Halverson House was exceptional. The team was incredibly responsive, attending to emails and questions quickly, which made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. They provided a clear roadmap from day one to our wedding day, which helped us stay on track and enjoy every moment of the journey.

The staff worked directly with each of our vendors, taking the weight off our shoulders and ensuring everything was seamlessly coordinated. The quality, attention to detail, & professionalism were well worth the price.
The Planning Pod website included in the package was a fantastic tool! It was easy to use and made organizing guest lists, seating arrangements, schedules, and invoices incredibly convenient. We felt fully prepared thanks to the resources they provided.

The venue itself is stunning, offering both indoor and outdoor ceremony options that are beautiful year-round. There were separate, unique areas for the bride and groom to prep before the big day, which was a lovely touch. We also had many options for customizing the layout, table settings, and décor, allowing us to truly make the space our own.

As far as the food goes, MAJOR hit! The homemade meals prepared by the onsite staff were phenomenal—many guests, including a few foodies, raved about it being the best wedding meal they’ve experienced.

The package we chose included everything we needed, from the DJ and dessert presentation to drinks and accommodations. The flexibility Halverson House offered was invaluable, especially when we had to change from an outdoor to an indoor ceremony just the day before due to weather. They made sure everything ran smoothly, and the team was accommodating in every way.
Other thoughtful touches included a guest bus to transport people to and from nearby hotels, a golf cart for guests with mobility issues, and plenty of parking. The decor, including tables, signs, blankets, and more, was beautiful, and we were able to pick up everything a few days later without hassle. They even took care of all setup and takedown, which allowed us and our families to relax and enjoy the day.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we wholeheartedly recommend Halverson House to any couple looking for a wedding venue that combines beauty, professionalism, and exceptional service.

From the large details of setting up the ceremony, to the tiniest details of picture frames, Halverson House DOES. IT. ALL! Everyone is worried about their wedding, and making sure it’s perfect. I am not lying one bit when I say that Mike, Joi, the staff, and chef Kevin took away any stress I could have had in the wedding planning process. They did all of the decorations, down to the itinerary, card box, and seating chart! They did all of the set up, all of the take down, and all of the cooking/baking that you’d typically have to find a caterer for. EVERYTHING was done in house, all I did was show up for a showcase and supper night, where I was able to put together a mock table of the decorations I liked, as well as trying the delicious food and narrowing down what I wanted for wedding day. Once I made those decisions, Joi and her team took it from there! The online portal for tracking guest RSVP’s, and being able to click and drag them to the tables I wanted them sat at was so nice! Joi then took the seating chart I made on that portal and made it into a reality. I truly could not think of a more put together operation. All of my guests raved about the gorgeous venue and delicious food, most of them saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and the best wedding food they’d ever had!

I would highly recommend this venue to anybody who’s looking. The bed and breakfast on grounds was lovely as well! We stayed for the weekend and woke up to a delicious breakfast every morning. We were also given brunch on wedding day!

Being a former wedding planner, turned wedding and family photographer, I am EXTREMELY PICKY when it comes to working with venues and vendors. The Halverson House staff are on it. Not only on the day of, but, they send an advance to the vendors to ensure they know exactly what will transpire for the wedding day.

The coordinator checks in with you, ensures that you are doing okay and really cares about their venue.

AND, I can honestly say it was some of THE BEST wedding dinner's I've ever had. I never know what to expect when I have a dinner at a wedding, and BOY-O-BOY did their food exceed my expectations. From the very first bite, I was hooked.

Overall, if you are looking for a professional staff and a wonderful barn venue, you have found the place.

Getting married at The Halverson House was a phenomenal experience, start to finish. Joi and her staff were extremely professional and prepared, and you could tell based on how smoothly everything went. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the facilities were, and how all of the "little things" were taken care of. Everything from the table setups to the barn decor to the heat in the barn helped our guests have a fantastic time. If you can afford it, we highly recommend the "wedding weekend" package, so that you can relax and be on site the whole weekend. We can't thank Joi and the Halverson House staff enough for everything they did to make our special day amazing!

You have just stumbled upon the single greatest gem in southern Wisconsin. Halverson House isn't just a wedding venue. It's a place defined by love and run by the Alex family, the most amazing and caring group of people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. What they have done is created a venue that deserves more than the word "venue" implies because it's so much more than that. It's an oasis, a haven, something you might only imagine in your dreams.

The Alex family is continually investing in the space because every time we came for a visit there was something new: hand-made farm tables, sitting areas, audio systems, a community garden, fresh flowers, you name it. Beyond the property's breathtaking physical features, are the people at the heart of what makes Halverson House the place-of-choice for any couple or family looking to celebrate. The Alex family makes you feel at home every time you set foot on the property. Everyone at our wedding kept comparing the place to a movie, or novel or fairytale. I promise it's not too good to be true. It is very real.

Joi and her family have a gift and they're using that gift to bring love and happiness to couples like my husband and I. At every turn, the Alex family anticipated our every need. When the reception was over, we returned to the house to find everything was immaculate. Somehow, I swear as if by magic, everything had been perfectly cleaned and prepared for us. The next morning we awoke to the smell of homemade quiches and baked french toast. All of our decor pieces were already packed up and waiting for us in the barn. It was all so seamless.

I think people use the word priceless too often when describing weddings. We spoke with other vendors who tossed around phrases like "this is the single most important day" and "you only get to do this once." But what Halverson House did was great a one-of-a-kind experience that will live on and be a part of our lives for years to come, because we plan on returning to Halverson House for our anniversaries, for family celebrations, and whenever they host events because they're worth it. Every inch of the property has been crafted with care. They're the people you want in your lives. What they've created you simply cannot put a price tag on.

To say that Halverson House was a perfect fit is an understatement. My wife and I had been looking for a barn to host our Wedding. We search endlessly for beautiful venue that worked for us and met our needs. The Alex’s who run the Halverson House are pleasant to work with and extremely flexible. We saw their hard work and dedication first hand because we followed their journey as they constructed the venue, following their dream. When we first met them, there was little more than a beautiful, historic house and some run down farm buildings. They talked through their vision with us, and we decided they were the right fit. They held true to their word and did everything in their power to make the wedding a perfect event. When they talk about comfortably elegance, as they put it, they truly mean that they are investing themselves in your event, and are willing to go above and beyond to make sure your wedding goes smoothly and according to plan, while also releasing the stress from you on that special day. From the moment you arrive on your wedding day you given a comfortable space, brides maids and grooms men each having their own building. Brunch is prepared for the wedding parties when they arrive, so there is no worrying about what to eat on that day. That is just one example of how the Alex’s truly put your comfort first. They also provide a skilled wedding coordinator that will take the rest of the stress from you on that day. You will be able to enjoy the moment and truly immerse yourself in your wedding. If you are looking for a venue that is more than just a barn, includes countless rustic and antique artifacts, seemingly endless, thoughtfully-planned spaces, and a day that will run smoothly and worry free then the Halverson House is for you!

My wedding was everything I ever hoped thanks to this venue. The staff was so attentive and I felt truly heard as a bride. I adore the venue and all that came with it. Absolutely everything was accommodated, from day-of plans to guest food allergies. Venue was extraordinary, food was delicious, stress was at a minumum! I loved it here.

Halverson House is the best place to host your event! We recently rented the venue for our wedding and they made the process so easy! The communication throughout the whole planning process is amazing. We live out of the state and the staff took the time to make sure everything was set how we wanted it. They were so flexible throughout the planning process. They made the day of so smooth and were there to help with everything. The food for the brunch and dinner was wonderful! The assistance with set up and take down made the day much less stressful with us! We had so many family/friends rave about the food and how beautiful the venue was! We are so happy we chose to celebrate at the Halverson House!

Halverson House is an extraordinarily beautiful venue. We got married here in August. There are so many incredible picturesque spots for photography, including the Victorian house where the bride and bridesmaids typically get ready, the Granary, where the Groom and his side typically get ready, the gorgeous grounds, and of course, the historic barn. The staff is very responsive and helpful, and Joi provides day-of coordinating that helped everything move along very smoothly. It was pretty much a hassle-free day with all the work she and the rest of the staff put in. All of our guests were so impressed with the grounds, the barn, and the staff. There's a little bit of something for everyone, including the option for outdoor yard games, a fire pit, and so much more. Couldn't have hoped for a more perfect day in a more perfect place.

Halverson House was the perfect choice for our wedding day! The property is beautiful and perfect for pictures. Joi was amazing to work with and really made sure we had a perfect day. They did all the set up and take down to make the wedding day stress free and it turned out excellent. I am so happy with Halverson House and would recommend it to everyone!

we looked at and contact several venues, almost picked one untill we went to the Halverson house, we were amazed with everything, the owners are fantastic, the price is about as everyone else how ever you get much more for the money, We are confidence the wedding will be more then we could ever have dreamed of, thanks to the Halverson house

Wonderful owners - very helpful in planning, especially during the whole COVID uncertainty. I would recommend them for any type of celebration you are having whether wedding, family, business, etc. It is a beautiful and versatile venue - indoor/outdoor accommodations - you can not beat it!

Wow, where do I even begin. When my husband and I stumbled across Halverson House and set up a tour, the instant we pulled in the drive we were blown away by the beauty and overall comfort of what this place has to offer. I remember stepping out of the car and instantly getting goosebumps stunned by all the beautiful scenery.

Joi, Mike & their amazing family & staff made us feel like part of the family right away. They made sure every single detail of our wedding was perfect, and we cannot thank them enough because our day was nothing less than that. The entire day was completely stress-free! They truly care about you, and their passion for bringing families together is just so amazing. They have created an absolute gorgeous venue and have worked so hard for this.

What an incredible venue and family that run it. We got so many complements from our guests on how amazing Halverson House was, from the outdoor ceremony to the multiple locations to host our reception. Everyone was blown away! Joi was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning stages all the way up to the day-of and collecting our décor after the big day! We had a few unique requests for decorations, and the Halverson House team went above and beyond our wildest dreams to deliver on our ideas.
