Hale Farm & Village is a stunning, historic wedding venue located in Bath, Ohio. This charming and rustic living history museum offers a glimpse into the past, while providing timeless views of Ohio’s beloved Cuyahoga Valley National Park. With over 90-acres of striking landscape, a plethora of onsite historic buildings, and a variety of modern amenities, Hale Farm & Village is sure to provide you with a spectacular setting for your dream wedding.

The West Side of Hale Farm & Village features the climate-controlled 4,900 square-foot Gatehouse. As the main visitor's center, this is the largest facility on site seating up to 200 guests. Plus, a new addition to the Gatehouse is the Mary Jane Davis Hartwell Room, a multipurpose community room available for daytime & evening rentals for up to 75 guests. These sites also feature a lovely stone patio & veranda in the back, overlooking a breathtaking backdrop of the farm.

Further, if your capacity were to exceed 200 guests, there is an option to place a tent on the Front Lawn outside the Gatehouse so that your guests can enjoy alfresco dining surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Cuyahoga Valley.

The East Side of Hale Farm & Village has the 3-sided outdoor structure the Carriage Pavilion. This rustic, private pavilion overlooks to quitessential 19th-century village, making it a wonderful haven for anywhere between 120-150 party guests. Sitting directly in front of the Carriage Pavilion is the picturesque Meetinghouse; holding up to 150 guests for a wedding ceremony. This quaint, 1850s church is the Little White Chapel of your dreams.

The Entire Farm of course has several beautiful sites perfect for any outdoor wedding ceremony. A very popular site is our quiet and charming Apple Orchard; or on the East Side of the property, you can immerse yourself in nature and history with a wedding ceremony on the Village Green. But really, you can come take a look and choose your favorite backdrop anywhere on site – the sky’s the limit!

Amazing venue, Amazing staff

Hale Farm and Village was everything I could have dreamed of for our special day and more. The beautiful site was unique and every guest raved over the location. Even with the rain, it was stunning. Our wedding was on 9/28/24 so the property was open to the public during the day, but not very busy. We used the east side of the property and it was beyond picture perfect. The pavilion set the most perfect vibes for our reception, and the area behind the Herrick House was a dream come true for our ceremony. My husband and I did a first look and private vows in front of the yellow house, and were able to take photos on the entire property. It was MAGICAL to say the least.
But this review is mostly for the AMAZING Miss Dotty. About two months before my wedding, I was notified that the person I had been in contact with and had been planning with was no longer with HF. Obviously, I was stressed and nervous to say the least. But once Dotty was brought on, and after one meeting with her my fears subsided. This amazing person did EVERYTHING in her power to help me achieve the wedding of my dreams. She came up with solutions to any issues, she offered ideas and thoughts for any question I had. This woman worked her butt off the day of my wedding!! With the change in staffing, and promises made from the prior, Dotty went above and beyond to make things happen. She also had a second wedding on the west side of the property the same day, and Dotty seemed to always be around when I needed something. When my ceremony was 45 minutes late... no fault of HF or Dotty (family drama)... and I was on the verge of a breakdown, Dotty came over to me and asked "you want to hear a funny story?" and continued to tell me something funny to distract me, and make me laugh. She made sure I wasn't too shiny from the stress sweat, and helped get things back on track. At one point she had the help of a young man named Alex (I hope that's right) who was just as kind and helpful as she was. Both helped with set up, and tear down. Alex helped fluff my dress before I walked at the ceremony as Dotty was closing and opening the entrance doors for me. They both seemed to make sure that everything could go as best as it could. I know for a fact this day would not have happened, and would not have been as amazing as it was, if not for Dotty. She is a superhero.
Hale Farm and Village was truly a dream come true venue for us and our special day. But Dotty was a rock star and I am forever grateful for her, her hard work, and her kindness from the moment I met her. Thank you!!!

Wonderful experience

Julie at Hale Farm did such a wonderful job helping us with our wedding. She stuck with us when we had to postpone due to COVID and helped us replan a safer celebration. It’s actually a perfect venue for spreading things out and having everything outdoors. We had a lot of ideas of what we wanted and she helped us turn our dreams into a reality!

Our experience with Hale Farm was more than we could ever imagine. We worked with Johanna, who is an absolute power house. Any questions we had, we had an answer that day. Johanna was able to help us with ordering alcohol, planning out our big day, and offering so many recommendations on where to take pictures. Johanna was such a huge part of our day. It was pouring on our big day and she was so flexible. Our ceremony and reception was absolutely stunning. Hale Farm is seriously worth every penny. Not only will you fall in love with everything the site has to offer, but you will seriously feel a part of a family. We cannot thank Johanna and her team enough for everything they have done for us.

One of the reasons that we chose Hale Farm to get married, besides being a beautiful property, was because of Johanna and their staff. Johanna was able to answer all of our questions upfront when we first visited. She was quick to respond on any other additional questions throughout the year before the wedding. When we met for our final meeting before the wedding, she offered up great suggestions to us. The day of the wedding was a 90+ degree day and we were able to utilize the entire property for pictures. Johanna stayed with us the entire time of pictures, which was a few hours, and made sure we had everything that we needed and told us about different locations to go to which was so helpful. She even managed to hold our purses for us and watch our stuff as we walked around. She coordinated with all of the vendors to make sure they had what they needed and knew all of the details. She made sure the guests were comfortable and had them stay inside until the beginning of the ceremony since it was so hot outside. She even helped my Mother with the bustle of my dress and brought me a plate of food down to the bridal room. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to work with. I’m so glad we chose Hale Farm as our wedding venue. The property is beautiful and the staff were all so friendly, professional and organized. Thanks to Johanna, I would highly recommend Hale Farm.

We had our ceremony in the old church and our reception in the Gatehouse. Staff were friendly and accommodating and you cannot beat the scenery. What beautiful pictures we had from all of the different backdrops.

It was very affordable as well.

Hale Farm and Village was the absolutely perfect place for our wedding. In the beginning of the planning process, I was worried about the timeline in regards to being able to get everything set up the day of, but my fears were immediately extinguished by Johanna. She was quick to respond throughout the whole planning process, answered any questions I had (which was A TON), and offered great advice as needed, not to mention she was so sweet and kind. When it came time to day of, every single member of the Hale Staff was AMAZING and accommodating. We used the apple orchard outside for ceremony and the Gatehouse for reception. Everyone helped us when needed and ensured the day was absolutely stunning, they also checked in with me as needed and made sure the day flowed perfectly. 10/10 would always recommend, and we can’t wait to go back throughout the years and visit as guests.

We had a destination wedding, and were searching for a venue to host a "reception" luncheon for local friends/family after the wedding. From the time I went to Hale Farm, I knew it was the perfect place. The gatehouse was perfect for our crowd of 140, and Johanna was very responsive with all 400 of my questions during my year-long planning marathon! On the day of our event (Sunday 5/28), we worked very closely with Henry, who was an absolute pleasure. The Hale Farm team was very accommodating and everyone was willing to pitch in to make sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it. We used Old Carolina BBQ for catering, and it was EXCEPTIONAL. The ONLY thing that I didn't like was the fact that we had to purchase the (marked-up) beer/wine directly from Hale Farm (I hated myself for spending $72 per case of Blue Moon!) because they have a liquor license. But other than that, we couldn't be happier with our decision to use Hale Farm for our (laid-back) post-destination wedding reception!

Such a wonderful venue. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting. We got married in the chapel (meetinghouse) and had the reception at the gatehouse. The chapel does not have AC, and its about 95 degrees out but with some fans it was doable. Joanna as SO helpful throughout the planning process and the staff there the day of were great. I wish I could do it all again - it was perfect!
