Lisa and her assistant were wonderful! They did my makeup and nails and makeup for 4 of my bridesmaids.
Lisa, the owner, was a pleasure to work with! She's bubbly and fun.
Not only were they incredibly patient with me as I changed my mind more than once, but they also helped to calm my nerves and cheer me up when my hairdresser was mean to me!
Lisa, thank you so much!!!

Wow! What a mistake I made in choosing this salon! I was going to have a manicure and pedicure done(Shellac french manicure)at home. However, during an August visit to West Dover, Vermont to do some wedding planning, I saw this salon, which was about a mile away from our venue, went inside to check it out and decided since they did do a shellac and the manicurist was certified by Opi products, I would be fine. I figured why do it at home when I can take the morning before our guests would arrive for the weekend and enjoy a nice, relaxing mani and pedi. It proved to be a huge mistake and one that bothered me the entire day of my wedding.
I was running about 15 minutes late and did receive a phone call(on my cell) from Karina. I arrived immediately after the phone call. I really hate having to give this place a negative review as I truly liked Karina. She was a friendly and warm woman who offered a calming discussion to soothe my nerves. However, since I did tell them they were not on any of the wedding sites as vendors before my services, I thought I needed to follow through with a review. We began with my pedicure. Apparently, I did not do my research because they lacked the professional chair and foot bath I was accustomed to at home. I settled for a portable foot bath that simply was not the same. My toes nails are not the best so I definitely was not expecting miracles. However, this pedicure was not the same as though I received at home. Heck, she didn't do my cuticles. The shellac process looked funky on my toes and seemed to dry by shrinking away from the cuticles. It covered my toes, so it was just okay with me.
The manicure was a nightmare. First and foremost, she did not cut my cuticles. I was so "in wedding mindset", I didn't even point it out to her. I realized it when I got to our venue. First, she needed to add a tip to a broken finger nail. Again, she did not do it like my salons at home, she never used the electric file to even it out. By the end of my wedding day, you could see it was a fake. The shellac process was horrible. It dried by pulling away from my cuticles. After Karina realized it was not working, we had to put my fingers in the acetone for 15 minutes to remove the shellac. She didn't even realize my tip would melt, so she had to do another tip. She was also behind her schedule, so she did a quick french manicure. I tried to point out the issues, however, it only made things worst. She used some Opi drip dry to dry. There were no drying machines or spray. She told me to be careful, and I was. HOwever, by the end of the day, the manicure looked horrid. You could see they white tips were not even, and the bottom coat did not cover my nails. I tried to rescue them with a tipping color a guest had, but the bottom line is, my manicure sucked. What should have lasted me two weeks was a failure. I don't know if it was the Opi product or the professional. I loved Karina's massages, but the mani and pedi was horrid. The moral...get it done where you usually get it done just in case it is horrid.
