We were drawn to Green Goddess to cater our wedding reception for their commitment to serving fresh, healthy, local food, and were not disappointed. Green Goddess provided the appetizers, salads, and dinner service; we went with a wood-fired pizza vendor for our entree. Tammy, the owner, was very flexible and accommodating with us in designing the menu, and we really appreciated that she was willing to work with another vendor. The salads and apps were fresh and delicious -- we had potato pancakes, spring rolls, bruschetta, fresh veggies, and a cheese platter for appetizers. We designed a custom salad topped with goat cheese that was to die for. All received rave reviews from our guests!

Tammy was thoughtful and meticulous through the planning process, and even came out to our venue the day before the wedding to scout things out. Her staff did a great job setting the tables based on a display table that we set up. Our venue did not have an on-staff bartender, so Tammy hired two that she knew locally. We provided the alcohol, and the bartenders did an excellent, professional job serving. Green Goddess staff also broke down our rental tables/chairs, washed dishes, etc. after dinner. That was a hugely helpful for us, because our venue had no on-site staff.

If we had to fault Green Goddess for anything, it would be that responses to emails were not always prompt. That said, we understand Tammy is busy, and she absolutely came through when it counted.

If you are getting married in Lake Placid and want quality food and great service, go to GREEN GODDESS. Tammy was our main point person, and she is amazing: she is thoughtful, meticulous, and professional.

While they do have specific catering menus online, they are ready to customize their menu to fit with your vision of the wedding. We had beet burgers, meat burgers, roasted veggies, quinoa salad, and zesty cole slaw. For the appetizer part of the wedding, I only heard strong reviews from our guests. We had a Mexican crostini, cheese and charcuterie spread, crab cakes, and a caprese stick. We also had ice cream sandwiches for dessert with various selection of cookies, and a mixed berry and whip cream option.

The only thing is that Green Goddess does not have an alcohol license, so we had to purchase a beer and wine license ourselves -- which was really easy to do and only cost $40.
