If you're thinking about having a destination wedding at Grand Palladium / TRS Coral Costa Mujeres, please think twice.

This has been one of the most stressful experiences of my life. What should have been one of the happiest seasons of our lives became months of anxiety, disappointment, and constant uncertainty.

Our wedding cost over $35,000, with more than $15,000 paid directly to this resort. That is hard-earned money. All I wanted was to trust that things would be taken care of. Instead, I spent the weeks before my wedding chasing answers and wondering if the resort would even honor what we had already paid for.

Emails went unanswered for weeks. Our onsite coordinator didn't respond until hotel management got involved. Even 10 days before our wedding, we still didn't have written confirmation for things included in our package, like our room upgrade, semi-private dinner, and welcome cocktail event.

Then came the biggest heartbreak.

We paid an extra $2,000 for Gravity Terrace because of its unobstructed ocean view. We chose that venue because of the view. We planned our ceremony and photography around it.

Without telling us, the resort installed a massive AI-generated mural directly behind the ceremony aisle. The venue we paid for no longer existed. Now that mural will be in every photo of us walking down the aisle. You only get that moment once. There is no way to get it back.

When we raised our concerns, we weren't met with solutions. We were met with more waiting, more unanswered questions, and more stress.

A destination wedding is built on trust. We trusted this resort with one of the most important days of our lives, and instead of feeling excited before our wedding, we felt exhausted.

If you decide to book here, get every promise in writing, save every email, and don't assume that what you paid for is what you'll actually receive.
